Why stretch a muscle just because it’s in pain? If it’s already very weak why would stretching it out and weakening it more help? Listen to all these people in the comments saying it hurts MORE when they stretch it.
How do you expect to improve a muscle if you literally never use it…? If you neglect your legs by never using them, you believe they’ll get stronger and not weaker? Stretching is not damaging it’s a stretch not a tear/trauma, you are not weakening anything, try stretching your brain a bit.
A NEGLECTED QL is different from a damaged QL. If you've damaged your QL and it's very painful to move - sorry but the only thing you can to do is rest until it heals. Maybe 2 weeks or so. You probably won't be able to stretch it as it would be very painful to do so. As for a neglected QL - I don't see how this would cause any pain?? All that would result in, is poor posture and a weak core.
@@maysyoga yeah I can barely bend then it hurts. 15-30 seconds seems like forever. This and not rotating enough has me jacked up severely. Such simple things. Thank you 🙏
If you have low back pain and tight back muscles your body is telling you there is a spinal injury. Get yourself to the doctor for an MRI pronto. If you leave an injury and carry on as normal it is 100% going to get worse and worse until you are completely incapacitated.
@@ccdev true but you don't have to take them. What you want is an MRI so you can see what's going on before you take advice off youtube. That's my point. Diagnosis first. Then remedy. Someone who does this stretch with spinal damage is buying themselves a one way ticket to hell.
These stretches helped me so much!

I have Facet Arthopathy in lower back, do you have good yoga poses for this problem?
“strengthening exercises, avoiding movements that aggravate the symptoms” is what’s recommended. I’d go for core strengthening that doesn’t cause pain
Thank you
I have horrible pain in my qls, don’t stretch it. Get a baseball or lacrosse ball and why the trigger points and roll it out
Hi there, beside QL I also diagnosed with L4 L5 bulging disc. Should I perform this technique?
LOL like 99% of people have no chance of doing the first 2 stretches
