    Great video! Both of the toughness style resin really impressed me. I'm going to have to go with sunlu for the premix could convenience.

    Thank you for that demonstration. As someone who never Resin printed before, I now have something to go on. I appreciate it.

    I can definitely see the tan resin has sharper details

    My go to is sunlu toughness. Prices fluctuate but I usually buy a few bottles when they hit around ~$20/kg but it's usually either only in the white or black. Definitely recommend for printing miniatures.

    Awesome video as always. I was recently pointed at Ministry of Resin and I'm thinking of trying it to replace brittle resin that is elegoo abs-like Grey

    I have printed a lot of minis using the Sunlu ABS like and have been happy with the results. I did notice I had to dial in my curing times as if I went over it got kind of brittle, but I am a rookie with this stuff.

    Sunlu Tough is my go-to from now on for miniature painting. Much better than ABS-like in my testing and still retains a ton of detail.

      In what ways is it much better? I'm about to order some Sunlu resin but was aiming for the abs like

    Sunlu ABS Like was so good for the price when it launched. It was like 17 bucks a Liter. It's still really good for the price, and unless you're beating the crap out of your minis, it's perfect.

    There are a couple of new resins from Siraya that may be worth checking out. Siraya Fast Tough Grey and Tenacious Easy Grey. These seem like pre-mixed Fast + Tenacious in terms of properties. Not sure what the percentages are. Haven't seen any reviews for either of them yet.

      Yes, the version I tested is Siraya Tech Fast ABS-Like Tough Grey. I was disappointed because someone asked me to test it because they like it.

    • @RogerEberhart
      @RogerEberhart 5 месяцев назад

      Ah...gotcha....I couldn't see the label clearly in the video. Also the price you gave for it was for the standard Fast Grey. The Fast Tough Grey is more expensive at $45.99.

      Iv always seen adding tenacious to the Siraya fast

  • @jonese848
    @jonese848 5 месяцев назад

    Think you had a bad batch of the Fast from Siraya Tech because it's definitely not that breakable on my end. Though I do use the Navy Gray. Siraya Fast Navy is actually pretty strong and it gets even better with Tenacious.

    Was odor a factor for any of these? I'm especially interested in Sunlu Toughness.

    • @gaminggeek241
      @gaminggeek241  5 месяцев назад

      All of the resins have some amount of odor with them, although to be honest, I wasn't really checking the smell. I'm not that sensitive to resin odor so don't use that as a factor for purchasing but I know some people are.

    Right now I am printing 50:50 Sunlu Abs Like/Sunlu toughness.
    I'm quite happy with that but I havent tested other ratios

    • @gaminggeek241
      @gaminggeek241  4 месяца назад

      I never thought to mix those two together--why not just print all toughness? Is this to save money?

    • @peypey_it_is

      @@gaminggeek241 toughness is to soft for my liking and Abs to brittle so I thought the Mix of these to would work well for me.

    Could you test something please.
    Cure sunlu abs like for 5 minutes and see if it is more durable after.
    I heard from someone that his prints get/stay really flexible after he cured for 5 minutes. I also saw a video of this and it was like he described. I dont have the abs like atm sadly to try it

    • @gaminggeek241
      @gaminggeek241  2 месяца назад

      Yes, definitely adding more cure time stiffens the resin. I've also found that after time (maybe a few weeks) the resin stiffens up on its own too.

    • @TierDrama
      @TierDrama 2 месяца назад

      @@gaminggeek241 nah he said curing for 5 mins is getting the print more flexible. so the opposite of what to expect.

  • @DKarkarov

    Siraya tech fast is for high detail fast curing prints, it is not a "tough" resin at all, nor is it meant to be. That said, any of these take actual abuse to just break, if you even put in minimal effort to care about how you treat your mini's these are fine.
