Trying to block an app from updating accessing the internet using this method. The reason for this is I want to keep the older version of the app but the app does not have the option to turn off updates and so it will update automatically. (I have contacted their support but they say it is designed this way) The newer version sucks so this is why I want to block access to keep the older version. I have added the EXE filename to Outbound Rules and have selected block the connection but it (the app) still shows up under TCP Connections in Resource Monitor. I have checked and the newly created rule in Windows DEefender Firewall and it is listed under Outbound Rules and is Enabled. I even restarted to make sure it wasn't that. Am I missing something here? (Using Win 11 Pro latest update)
How do I remove the app from Processes with Network Activity/Network Activity/TCP Connections in Resource Monitor? You can see that it is still accessing IP addresses.
