I was confused because you covered the ventures version but I see differences in this one too! Well done!
So glad you did this version. I started on your Ventures 68 version which is way cool but much harder ! This one is just spot on for a 50's / 60's band like I play with -
I like the background lead on the bridge this go around. Almost like the "oohs" and "ahhs" of backing vocals!

Yeah, me too!! I played rhythm, but now I am learning the lead that my old surf band used to play...and Tom is making it much easier and I am having a blast!

omg this is actually the first song i’m learning on guitar 😹 found this song through my favourite move, the outsiders, loved this song since I watched it about a month ago and just had to learn it 😭 attempting to learn it on the piano as well (I’ve played piano for about 6 years now but this is my first time on guitar but my dad can play guitar which is lucky for me 😭)
@@eilishh.x I was in the same situation. I was a piano player of a few years and this was the song that got me to try guitar! Those bends were irresistible. It's a pretty easy song, but getting comfortable doing those bends and some vibrato takes a few years so don't be discouraged.
@@StudioMod haha thank you! i’m making it my goal to be able to play it, as well as my friend who is also learning it. we’re planning to play it for our music exam 😭

This is the only version I've heard. I think I missed your Ventures video other people are talking about. I know this song thanks to Pulp Fiction.
The Venture version that I did was based on their live recording. It’s still up if you want to search for it. It’s fun and there’s more soloing and a bit more edge to it

Tough to say, but Vintera pickups seem to suit the surf sound a little better
Will i be able to buy the backing tracks from now on the same way as i used to, or from now on all new backing tracks are only available to people who support your patreon?
Not 100% sure but I think I will also make the backing tracks available as before; after 10 are completed
