There’s something that kids who grew up in the 2000’s won’t understand: The strange, hard-to-explain “coziness” of watching TV at night in the 90’s. With nothing but the light emitting from your tube TV on as you watch these commercials go by. Waiting for whatever cartoon or cruddy show to start back up.
totally agree they will never know
@@javss7178 I grew up in the early 2000's there were traces of it here and there

This is golden! Something this generation of youngsters will never understand or appreciate what it was growing up in the 90's baby
"Youngsters?" Are you sure they are whipper snappers? Jesus you just made me feel older than watching these commercials and feeling like I was 11 again
I loved growing up in the 90s .
The last decade of normalcy
I can top it and that's growing up in the 80's
Spoiler: they don't give a shit.
Exactly.. Whatever it is, it has to be garbage for them to give a shit
Yea the simulation definitely peaked in the 90’s.
But it was fun at that time id say it peaked early late 200's
Actually, it didn't.
There’s still a strong 88-90 feel in spurts.
The 90s were the 80s watered down up until 94/95.
I was 15 in 1993. The best years of my life were in the 90s. It was truly a privilege to have experienced that magical decade.
I was 5. This is so interesting.
Everyone feels their teenage years were the best.
I turned 30 in 1993 so I guess no magic for me😢
The last great decade. This really brings me back.
The last grwat decade of pure fun and coziness and a strange but happy vibe

People who grew up in the 60s say the same thing. As do those in the 80s.

You’re the same age as 2pac
Hopfully you've moved back out of California.
1993 is more like the 80s. and the 80s were not simple
Yes.
A commercial about tacos, burritos, and tamales for 29 cents that’s actually an Energizer commercial and a Taco Bell commercial about 59 cent menu items back to back. 👍🏽💯
And they're really similar commercials, too! Both are musical, starring a famous rock and roll musician, are western/desert-themed, and were filmed at Vasquez Rocks.
Yeah, the first one had me fooled-thought it was a local place- until they said the name of the restaurant. 🙂
Oooooh.

2021 really blows. Social media has ruined the world. RUclips however has been great to me as I can now relive one of the last truly special decades. God I would give anything to go back!
I don't think social media would have become 1/2 as bad if the big tech companies would have treated everyone fairly, only removing the stuff that's truly illegal, and instead of pushing their political/ideological narratives. I truly hope more content creators start the move to at the very least mirror their content to Odysee, Bitchute, GAB, and Minds of whom respect their users.
Even to go back for one day 😞

And it was about kids and families. Not having to be politically correct or everything in Spanish.
Commercials today are still uplifting.
I liked the Ted Nugent taco commercial that’s actually a energizer battery commercial.
Even funnier that it came right before a actual Taco Bell commercial.
@@machoman1016 I think at the time that would've really gotten on peoples nerves, already sat through one ridiculous in your face commercial, then YET ANOTHER comes on in the same motif, same location literally, and for tacos after a previous ad that was 90% about tacos then hits you with gist punchline of the real product, so after that you have to see Little Richard with caked on makeup looking a zombie, dated and pitching, trying too hard, the whole energy and music in this case is just so desperate and back then, yes you were exasperated by this, you would ask yourself MAN when are these adrenaline fueled 90's style ads gonna end, when are commercials gonna change!??! You got sick of it after this long and waited for a new and improved style of ad, and yes they got loftier and wittier but it was down to the same old, not for 90% of you viewers watching related product or not buying any time soon or can't afford, I tell you back then you were actually waiting for ads like this to stop because they'd exhausted their range of delivery and it stank of over repetition, even despite still liking many of the more familiar ads, it just seemed like too many ads tried too hard to too little impact, but you watched them anyway because they told a short story, a joke, an unexpected conclusion, even if only just to see by the end how satisfied or pissed off you were left feeling.

That has to be the perfect timeline. It was probably best being nine in ‘93. I was born in 2008 so I missed the 90s by a while, but I like things that are older, so I have an appreciation for these types of things.
There was something nostalgic about watching a program where you couldn't skip the advertisements.
The 90's were great it really makes you wonder how the United States would have turned out if 9/11 never happened 🇺🇲🤔
We'd be better off of course.
Yeh, it's as if the terrorists won...they wanted to change usa and they did
It was like a switch being flipped..............Alternate timeline engaged.
My 2 step brothers lost their step dad on 9/11 at the Pentagon trapped under a table, and burned alive, and I'll never understand why we did not stop Sadam the first time, as he told stories of the Army knowing when he took a dump any time of the day, all they had to do was give the order to fire, and I'm sure it would not have been much to take out Bin Laden had they put the navy seals, or Marines on the job in the 90's as well.
9/11 was the end of the 90s, and i have always sad that when i think, and look back to that day. I was only 8 years old, but i remember well the impact it caused not just to the economy, but how people were to others. 80s, and 90s its like every one got along. If you look at 80s, and high school videos, things were simple, and every one communicated. Not today
The whopper at Bk was so good back in the 90’s. Now it’s rubber

93 was such a special time in the America. It was like a remnant of the colorful 80's are still there but an edgy look of a 90's are becoming to take an effect which lead to very unique style that only happened during this time frame.
For now this is the way I time travel

Lisa was so fine ☺️
So happy she’s doing much much better these days
@@alexismorell-carrington-co6310 Agreed 👍🏻
Taco Bell had a slogan: 59-79-99.... not anymore , plus after corona, they’ve eliminated a lot of good stuff off their menus....chili cheese burrito, nacho supreme(smaller one),steak soft tacos, meximelt, encherito(awhile ago),gorditas, combo burrito, to name a few.
Wow.
Man if I can go back in time and eat soft and hard tacos for 59¢ I would eat like a king every night and everyday 🌮🥂😃👍
DITTO!
Even with min wage 4.25 hour that was still easier to afford. What are they now?
The 59 cents campaign was started by McDonald's with their Low Down menu options. The 59 cent menus were on the floor and you had to look down at the options. I believe it was hamburger, small fries, sundaes, apple pie, and small drink. Taco Bell responded with the regular/soft taco, bean burritos, I think. Burger King did also.
Hell yeah, I remember getting big old $.89 double cheese burgers from McDonalds in the 90's was the bomb!!!
There's a reason Taco Bell was the MVP back in the 90s...
I had always said that the 90's was the peak of our society.

I'm ok. Just jinxed with bad luck I'm 46 now on SSI/SSDI because I busted my balls off working in mills in Maine. And went threw 2 divorces and I'm married 3rd time. Trying to make a family life again. My dad had committed suicide in 1983 . I'm originally from Brentwood long island ny and my mom moved her and I up to cambridge Maine in 1985. Boring here. But I grew up doing my best and trying to be a best father figure and dad to my kids. I have 2 adult kids from my first exwife and the kids stopped talking to me. Even when I helped them out when their mother gotten caught neglect on her kids in 2014 in ocala Florida. I took in my rebellious teen daughter from Florida foster home in to our home in Maine. But before I met my 3rd wife I was homeless from 2007 -2012 lived in my cars I had and couch surfing during winters. But I manage to keep a job to pay child support. But my last job was vic firth drumsticks in Newport Maine from 2007-2012.. but I manage to seek help to help my health issues since 2012 to 2018 finally got my SSI/SSDI. But 2013 my wife now has our son in 2013 and we was in low income apartments for 6 years until I got us moved to Dover-foxcroft Maine out the molded apartments in winterport Maine. We now in a house renting it and section 8 help. I'm lucky but also jinxed at times. Every time I think anything is an up. Something drops. My mom pasted away in on may 20th 2019. But she was lucky to see her grandkids that's all I did my best for her. My 2 adult kids was talking to me but stopped when my mom their grandmother pasted away. My life wasn't peachy but I manage to keep on going. I have 2 adult kids and 3 lil kids now. 27.. 21... 7...4..2 all range in that order.. my oldest son was born in December 1994 so I still think it's his age... Lol!! 27 or 26.. been a while from talking to him And my daughter from my first exwife. I was lucky I didn't have kids with second exwife. But now I'm trying my best to be the best dad / father since my dad killed himself in 83. I been in on a roller coaster life.. stinks but I've tried my best to learn from it all. I have maybe 100 skateboard collection for my lil kids. Some are mostly original 1980s skateboards but I have few reissue decks. But I collected since my first exwife/ exgirlfriend from my high school. But my exwife my 2 kids from her.. they rather stick with her where shes not a very good role model. In and out of jail.. from 2014 neglect on her kids and 2019 2020 in jail for drugs. Shes now heroin addict. Its said.. but I tried my best to help my kids understand things and that I wasn't the one in past that I didn't really gave up on them. But my exwife brainwash them saying I never paid child support and I'm the bad person. Well that's pretty much mostly my life roller coaster..
Got damn......

I went threw 3 trucks in 2 and half years. And I am the nicest person that would always help others. And I guess that's reason why people back stab me alot. I'm not a jerk. I respect others. But yes i been threw crap in life. My wife i have now.. we tried 3 times to move out of Maine. I want to. I just don't know how to find places out of state for section 8. Because section 8 they barely help you find places that you got to find it.. and hopefully I can move soon.. I'm waiting for section 8.. say it be ok. I been a year now in a place we renting in Dover-foxcroft Maine.. and then I can take my voucher of section 8 any where to move.. that's been a good thing I take that.. having section 8.. because now I'm on SSI/SSDI at age 46.. 3 lil kids and wife at 32 . Guess I'm ok.. but I am hoping no more jinxing with me and I can get my family to move. At one place my wife wants to move to Utah because shes a big ken block fan... I wanted in high school in my past to move California because I used to or still try to skateboard and I wanted to make skateboards in company's like Powell Peralta, toxic/ brand x and Santa Cruz.. but i don't know right now.. Lol!! Hahahaha!! Where I'm on SSI/SSDI because I'd have to get the ok card to work from SSI/SSDI office and be only part time jobs I can do.. but I'm a long time mill rat.. I worked for eastland woolen mill in corrina Maine. Moosehead manufacturing furniture company in monson Maine.. general electric in pittsfield Maine. Mathew brothers vinyl windows company in Belfast Maine. Vic firth drumsticks 🥁 in Newport Maine. Hartland tannery in hartland Maine.. but few of these companies are gone because of world trade.. like moosehead manufacturing furniture company and eastland woolen mill

The last time I was this early JNCOs were still in style.
Those honestly never caught on that well in my high school back in the 90's.
@@CommodoreFan64 They weren't popular with everyone in my HS in the 90's either. They were only really popular with the skaters, my friends.
JNCOs were late 90’s.
@@a-vvyas7750 Sweet! I remember the times, sort of! ;)
Good.
I was 14 that year. What a simpler and more innocent time. The 90s were awesome.
And thus one of the greatest movies ever made had come out...." Son in law"✌️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
One of my best years, awesome to see these again thank you 😊
Just think in heaven it won't be anything called time or years. GOD bless
When action figures were toys instead of a smartphone being the toy.
59 cents for a Taco? Nowadays, a taco is $1.50 at Taco Bell! God I miss those days!
And the min wage hasn’t caught up!
😂
Ahhh,Jared Leto in the Noxema commercial! From such humble beginngs,an Academy Award is won 😆
A fake Taco Bell commercial with Ted Nugent immediately followed by a real Taco Bell commercial with Little Richard.
😆😆
I didn't know I needed this...
In ‘93 I graduated college and was wondering what the hell am I going to do...here I sit in ‘21 wondering what the hell did I do to get here.
sad and nice to hear how much has changed from peoples comments i too feel the 90s and the vibe now it is not the same, nothing, people born in the 2000s see this as normal lmao, it is what it is man
Don't know.
I miss the 90s 🙁
Where did we go wrong?? That's the only question I honestly have
We left out family.. became 3rd wave feminist... toxic masculinity bs.. all about sex ans drugs.. look at the moms from those commercials.. classy and hott..not.. all about single motherhood

The internet for better or worse changed how we live.
@@fieldysgrl98 No, he's not part of the problem. YOU are the problem and others just like you. The Thinking Mans Game is 100% right. I could add in a lot more but that would trigger you into a meltdown.
I remember a time when your Liberal ideology was classed as a mental illness.
I agree that the internet changed everything, for better or worse. It truly is a double edged sword.
