    It's so funny, ppl say Phil won because he had superstars... but WAIT!!! check out how his superstars fare WITHOUT his guidance: MJ 0/7, Pip 0/8, Kobe 0/8, Shaq 1/14. That's freaking 1 title in 36 years of these superstars career. IN ADDITION:
    0 finals MVPs in 36 years!! ZERO! From the above facts, it's arguable that MJ, Kobe, would just be another Allen Iverson WITHOUT Phil Jackson's coaching. None of these megastars proved that they could win as an alpha male without PJ.

    • @themankoosky
      @themankoosky 9 лет назад +24

      Obsidian Green Plus, the lone title-winner without an attendant Phil Jackson in Shaq also won under another ring-collector without him in Pat Riley--another Hall of Fame coach that some would almost venture to lump in the same league as Phil Jackson.
      All the superstars--Michael Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, and so on--still will dominate on an individual without a great coach, as the genesis of their production stems from their self-ability; however, when it pertains to WINNING, very few titles have been won without a Hall of Fame-candidate coach at the helm--even when the players are led by a superstar.
      Good coaches oftentimes are needed for the role-players--the bevy of players who aren't naturally adept at shot-creating and playmaking--to overachieve, as they're the ones who will give them a defined role, not the superstars; that role-player production is oftentimes what superstars need to get over the hump, and many role-players PEAKING under Phil Jackson is a testament to that.

      Yeah he is a great coach. You have to have talent to win. "There are two types of coaches; coaches with great players and ex coaches" as Geno Auriemma said.
      His teams rarely underachieved. 2004 and 2011 I believe are the only years he lost in the playoffs with homecourt advantage.

      Tony didn’t have that great of an impact on the last three ships... Tony could score and brought a lot of talent to the table yes, but Phil and Tony’s teammates constantly got on him about his lack of defense. What impacted the last three ships was Michael Jordan’s return no tony kukoc. Tony didn’t even start when Mj returned he came off the bench. He isn’t downplayed or anything but he wasn’t the cause of the biggest impact on those last three rings. They had MJ and Pippen all they needed was Rodman. Rodman (outside of Michael Jordan) was what impacted that three peat run. Because the bulls lost Horace grant and needed a defensive stopper and rebounder.

    His first year back with the Lakers 05-06. yeah they had LO, kobe, and rookie bynum, but holy crap look at the turds on that roster. Smush Parker, Luke Walton, Chris Mihm, Brian Cook, Devean George, Von Wafer, Laron Profit?, Kwame Brown, and Aaron Mckie and Jim Jackson on their last legs.
    Pretty remarkable they ended up 45-37. You could say kobe averaging 35 a game carried them to the playoffs, but pretty sure PJax had something to do with it.
