Mine won't do it either I think that's for old cars cause you see the lock on his door right. I've been trying all night and the tape just Keeps breaking the window quill not budge😢😮

Those break as well, car manufacturers have been using cheap plastic designed to break for many many decades, and I don't mean the handle...
When you get it up. Run the tape on the inside to keep the weather off of it
Haha, mine is beginning to fail on my 2005 - I'm going to do this now, before it fails, and leave a tab of tape to help pull it up to assist the motor. Many thanks young man! (But I'm going to use Gorilla tape)
Just open it up n clean the brushes, or change them. N clean all the rubber around the window. Glue a piece of black sponge on the corners of the glass

When your window motor breaks, take your car to a shop and have it fixed.
That was a quick hack when nothing is available or no resources.

Tip : if you fold the end of the piece of duct tape you put in to attach to the window it makes it a lot easier to slide it into the door frame otherwise it just stuck and I wasn’t able to get it attached to the window
And if you live in a hot climate, use some of that aluminum duct sealing tape and it won't melt and fall back down, leaving your car wide open while you're out shopping or at work. Then you can cover with some matching duct tape for your door, for a more discreet look.
Tape has always been my friend. Since I was a child and still is. Lol

Put the tape on the outside of the glass if you have tint. Don’t use tape to keep it up. Get some cardboard and shove it in between the glass and the door card.
@@okymek yes!i had to temporary hold up the window and what a friggin mess getting the duck tape goo off--tip- hand sanitizer dissolves the goo.I ended up replacing the window motor myself .Great online videos that show step by step .And even a girly girl like me could do it .Saved a lot of money!
I also learned from a random mechanic that if it starts slowing down and eventually stopping, you can use some WD-40 along the front and back tracks and that often alleviates enough friction and removes enough dirt to get it working again.
I thought I'd have to replace the window motor in my last vehicle, but every few months I'd just have to spray the ends when it started to slow down. I used the silicone WD-40 so it would last and be water resistant. Also never hurts to have a can available...

47 years of car ownership, never had a power window regulator go bad.
Mostly gm cars you can push them down if you locked your keys in the car ,but thieves can do it too
If you have a GM product they use an actuator that pulls cables that slide around nylon shoes 1 heck of a design flaw if it binds going up or down and the nylons break your windows drops colossal modern design flaw because everybody has hit the window button in cold weather not realizing that ice has it stuck in the track and you can be driving down the road and when your ice melts the window just drops

That for the most part only works if its the window regulator fails or separates. If the window motor completely fails the window is not going to move.
Maybe on American cars. We got no problems with that in EU.

That tape is hard to clean off later so us a plastic wedge between glass and door panel and get er fixed soon
