They looks really nice once bedded in they will give you some stopping power that's for sure. The paint job is mint loving the colour they show up really nice with those wheels.
Those Rotor/calipers compliment your Audi nicely. 👌 A correct thread & pitch bolt with a copper washer screwed into were the banjo hydraulic line would normally go on the calliper would minimise any Hydraulic fluid compromising that beautiful paintwork & clear coat. (Untill you get them fitted to your car) Good video & professional workmanship. 👌 👍
Good video Andy, and it is encouraging to see people still wanting the best from whatever vehicle, all we have where I live is baffed out rice rockets.
Hi Andy. Was hoping you can help me out. Having a real hard time getting the correct yellow stuff pads for the same front caliper. Would you have any model number or reference number of them? I just received mine and completely wrong shape :(.. would highly appreciate it bud 🙏🏻
Great upgrade mate, I did the same forna mk7 gti but I am having issues finding proper pads for them, can you share the part number for those EBC yellow if possible? Nothing shows in ebc website. Cheers!!
andy kirby - Hi! Yes , for about 50 miles Be easy on brake pedal and one more thing ( cos new discs and pads need to match ) , during that time discs are heating quite quick (My advice would be , that You drive short distances 5-10 miles each time). I have changed a lot of discs and pads and they tend to get hot during initial first 50 miles . That's why I came up with idea, that doing short 5-10 mile distance make discs just ho , but not very hot , and after about 10 - 15 min. of cooling down , another 5 -10 miles ( it is good to check during that "cooling time" how discs looks !! Whether they wear down evenly. Regards . John.
@@andykirby - if just warm and not hot as h..ll , that is v. good sign. Also I've forgotten to mention , that when replacing discs and pads for new ones it is good to avoid to do that process while raining !! It is better to drive home from garage quite slowly and be gentle with brakes !! After rain is over and discs with pads dry , then continue to do initial discs - pads match ! Little tip , but I've saw People going crazy out of garage on a rainy day and heavily braking causing them from overheating and fast cooling(by cold water from rain) to bend discs a tiny bit !!!
I would totally agree with you it's good to go back to basics and own a regular gasoline car not only it's more fun at least the card doesn't drive> You drive the car!!!
Hello mr Andy, I will like to ask if you can drop a link to where you purchased the brake pad and disc that you replaced. I also own an Audi TT 2016 and will like to change mine also got inspired from your video. And the other question is are the brake pad and disc the same for all Audi TT from 2015 till date? Thanks
Did those discs resist rust/corrosion better than the stock discs (the hubs have rusted after just a few months from new on mine)? Looks awesome, by the way!
Cheers m8 on your new breaks. Those looks mhm mhm, yummy!! :-D Im thinking on putting 6pistons on my TT MK3 soon. cost around 1500euro with discs, pads, pressure tube etc whole kit.
You only upgraded the fronts? I thought you would have to upgrade all the way round? I have the same tt, I just got a stage one remap and looking to maybe upgrade the brakes too...
@@singh-sks some of the disc's are sided and air flow facing on both side one way. Unfortunately this OE discs is not sided and you can't buy left or right this type of disc's. In video is explained some times disc's is sided or marked by arrows which way to fit.
Looks superb mate and great to finally meet you today. My turn next!
Thanks man, lovely to meet you too as well. Yeah can't wait to see yours!

I put 4 pot boxster s brakes and big disks on my supercharged audi a4 the improved pedal feel is insane inspires so much confidence.
Yeah for sure! Still bedding in but I can already feel they have some serious stopping power😁
And Goodridge hoses I forgot to say. I think these were what significantlyimproved the pressure and feel on the pedal. Thanks for the uploads.

Yes absolutely!☝🏼

Nice one Andy, when's the Track day.🤭🤭😇
Great visual upgrade, is it sad that I love drilled brake discs 😄😄
Can't beat a bit of brake porn they are 4 ports so not just visual 😉😎
How much did the upgrade cost? They look mint!

Nice wheels, I've drove a red mk2 TT great motor 👍
Yeah mk1 and mk2 were both great cars. All of them are really, I've had 2 so far.
What we'd still call Goodrich hoses aka steel braided lines 👍

What is the standard disc and caliper size on the TT ? Can i use tts rotors on a tt caliper ?
Awesome video my man, love the car and mods and a great colour
Thanks Steve 😁👍🏼
Looking to do this when I need to change my brakes, how much did this cost you to do?

Thanks! You can fit 6 pot TTRS brakes but I'll tell you won't need any more than the 4 pots from the TTS really, they are insane.
@@andykirby will try to look then for OEM from TTS. Although I got a feeling it’s more than 2.5k euros 🤭🤭.
@1:54 It looks like like they supplied 2 left Disc's 😳
Hi ! Where did you bought Audi Sport Stickers for calipers ? Thanks 🙌
They were custom by DredFx facebook.com/profile.php?id=100069705885859
@@andykirby thanks !
Absolutely MASSIVE 💪🛑 😂
You seen that tesla thats transplanted in to a mini ,nice
ruclips.net/video/fKWe1R1bWOM/видео.html,
Hey Andy , i have the same rim as yours . When you fix the big brake 4 pots do you need to add any spacer to get clearance between rim and calibers ?
yes i have spacers, theres an old video about them too :-)
@@andykirby i guess so cos my local shop here told me these rim wont fit big brakes
You only upgraded the fronts? I thought you would have to upgrade all the way round?
I have the same tt, I just got a stage one remap and looking to maybe upgrade the brakes too...
Did you ever get new callipers? I've got standard TT and interested in red TTS callipers
Please can you tell me what wheel spacers you have and which brake lines you purchased. Thanks
Hi, wheel spacers are Bimec 15mm rear and 12mm front. The braided brake hoses are Hel branded.
@@andykirby nice one, thank you.
👌
Looks good except the rims are not going the same direction on both sides!
They are Audi OEM wheels. Most OEM wheels are not directional.
Are you still building and selling the fully built vapours m8
Where did you manage to pickup those callipers from?
Ebay mate👍🏻
What kind of increased to your insurance have all these mods made?
Did you just use the bolts from the previous caliper to fit? or do you need tts bolts?
Yes standard bolts 👍🏻
Any chance for new wheels? Great video btw!
Thanks John, I'm considering it, the standard audi ones are forged though so it gets pretty expensive!
Great video 👍 🙈
Thanks for today mate! Was fun filming!
Where did you source the callipers?
Ebay 👍🏼
Hi Andy, big fan of your channel! I have a few questions for you. Do you have any contact information?
Hi Andy are the tts calipers a direct fit ?
Yes they are, you need brake lines as well, I recommend the HEL brand
And definitely spacers ?
Your passenger disc is wrong the direction of holes and vents should be as the drivers side, you have 2 drivers side discs check on video
Original Audi brake discs it's not sided some EBC or Brembo aftermarket comes sided
☝🏼 yes Michael you did actuly explain this in the video 😁
@@andykirby you mentioned in video that the air flow would be different which is why it is wrong way and wrong disc on passenger side
