    The short wheelbase of the TT means very little rear braking pressure. Im sure you could have fitted those yourself Andy....😳😳😏😏😀🇬🇧

    The cheapest rear dics are £45 each if you want the better looking then they will be fine. OEM type pads should be fine, racing pads are a little strong with solid discs.

    O NO Andy you have put those Disc's on the wrong sides 😂😂😂.
    Looking good.😉😊👍👍.
    I could do with some new disks on my little Toyota Auris they get rusty everytime it rain's.

    The disc backing plate might be loose making a rattling noise

    Cheap discs fail early, like very early. They are too expensive at any price. OEM only.

      You will be surprised but OEM is made by Pagid and called eco parts. Same as brake pads made by Pagid just box is OEM and called eco parts

      @@MtechGarage This is definitely not the case here. This video showed the edge of both rotors. The OEM one looked about twice the thickness.

    • @andykirby
      @andykirby  10 месяцев назад

      @tarstarkusz there's no difference in the thickness of the rotors, both are the same. Must be the camera angle playing tricks on you!

  • @tarstarkusz
    @tarstarkusz 10 месяцев назад

    4:09 Just look at how thick the stock one is vs the one you bought, which looks about 1/2 the thickness. You get what you pay for. Not only is there less metal, it's a much lower grade of metal.

      How can you tell there is a difference between them thickness wise, he didn't even put them side to side, to me they look same , also I think they have to make them the same thickness, even if it's aftermarket.
      Let's see if Andy can confirm they are the same thickness

    • @MtechGarage
      @MtechGarage 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@ATICrossX it's same thickness,old looks bit thicker because was rusty around

    • @tarstarkusz
      @tarstarkusz 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@ATICrossX Why would they both have to be the same thickness? The caliper makes up the difference.

    • @tarstarkusz
      @tarstarkusz 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@MtechGarage That might be the case. I didn't see it in person and I didn't put a micrometer to it.
      However, I have experience with aftermarket rotors and there even videos of how bad these no-name rotors are. They made from a poorer quality metal.

    Audi are notorious for rubbish rear brakes. Solid rear disks on a modern car... 😂
    Even vans do better than that these days.

    • @andykirby
      @andykirby  10 месяцев назад

      It stops amazingly well even now its running 450BHP. Lightweight car...

    • @The.Toaster
      @The.Toaster 10 месяцев назад

      @@andykirby I'd imagine for a road car it's fine with the occasional harsh stop, but if you were to stretch it's legs a little, (especially with 450hp) you'd see the problem.
      You end up nose diving into turns because the rears fade.
      I have an audi s2 and they came from the factory with the same disc brakes as the mk2 golf including solid rear disc. It was shocking! 😂 The first upgrade I did to the car was s8 rear calipers and custom vented discs. It has a gt3076r 0.63 with 2.2bar overboost 600nm and 450hp as well. Because of the midrange overboost it's deceptively quick for 450hp.
      I bet that little TT don't half shift though with 450!
