What size single hooks do you put on your jigs for Bonnie’s, sambos etc.?

    • @anglinguntangled

All of the jigs I use during the video are stock standard in their rigging. When replacing trebles it’s best to just match the hook size to lure size

How’s the prevail on shore jigging? Is it the new gen or the old?

Well I’m not too knowledgeable with the technique and specific gear for it but it seems to be pretty good rod for it, and it’s a Prevail 2 model. Bit whippy in the tip which I think is good for the style and feels pretty comfortable in lifting most things though I’d feel a bit nervous trying a jumbo salmon out. But yeah good rod

@@anglinguntangled I stand by the prevail brand I have the 1st generation can’t fault them, strong as but heavy. I think the new gen are made different. The Apex is on steroids. Light as? All in all sick rod might look into getting an upgrade!! Thanks

@phiromtauch6059 yeah I had one of the first series too which served me well before a stumble on the rocks busted him up. Haven’t held any of the apex versions but the prevail 2’s are light already. I use the model in the video as well as the 13’ model for chasing mulloway (check out Sapphire Beach Fishing Charters).
