    Great session on the Flatties.
    Interested in the brining, I usually salt mine down. That looks like a much better presented bait.
    Good day to start building a Rod, raining up in Newy today.
    Cheers

      Yeah one of the best days fish and weather wise we’ve had in ages. Yeah they come out looking really good, whether the flatties care or not is another thing haha. I’ll get the brining video on the go soon so should be up in a week or so.
      Yeah perfect! What rod you got on the go?

    Nice video mate, very informative. Always good just going for a flatty bottom bounce.
    Roughly what are are you fishing at?I don’t seem to find many tigers when I go out

      @anglinguntangled  Год назад +1

      Cheers Peter! This is down the far south coast of NSW. Not sure if tigers are a bit more common in shallow down here compared to the rest of the coast. While doing some research I read that the commercial dudes usually get them around 80m

    Hey did you make a rig video

    • @anglinguntangled
      @anglinguntangled  Год назад +1

      Hey John, no not yet and I may end up giving it a miss. I only have a GoPro to use and they don’t have great close focus which will be needed to make the video any good. But if you search up twisted dropper there are plenty of vids showing it off already. Some people say it’s easiest with monofilament but I find it easier with fluorocarbon. If your chasing flathead you’ll have the first dropper just high enough so it doesn’t tangle with your sinker and then just enough space between the droppers so the hooks aren’t tangling as well. Let me know how you get on with it mate!

    Shame about the camera and the lost footage. An occupational hazard given the circumstances. Would heavier line to attach the camera be the answer ? I`m guessing that you wouldn`t want to scare fish away with too much or too heavy gear though.

    • @anglinguntangled
      @anglinguntangled  Год назад

      Yeah was absolutely gutted when it happened. But will just need to get another one and try again. Should get some good beach fishing footage with it too. There isn’t much to be done to stop the leather jackets snipping you off, they’ll chew through 80lb mono and sometimes way up your line. Hadn’t encountered one all day so was just very unlucky to have it happen with the camera on
