This one is so much fun, the upbeat waltz time, the harmonies are great, lot of transitions, then puts all the elements together at the end; his voice, piano, and the guitars, *and* the harmonizing. The structure is very classical, but modern vocals, electric guitars... it's like Strauss took a bit of LSD and went a little nuts. So original😁

I have just seen the film version of "Queen Live in Montreal" and what immediately impressed me was the fact that everything about Queen was incredibly powerful ! From the masterful musicianship and vocals of all four members ; Freddie's immensely powerful voice, Brian's singing guitar work, John's thundering bass section and finally Roger's hammering drumming ("I had never seen anybody hit the drums so hard" said Brian May of Roger Taylor after their first jam session together), the terrific power of Queen's performances - regardless whether in the studio or live on stage - were always mind blowing. I actually do not know of another rock band that had this tremendous power in their music, but it didn't end there, did it ? On top of this, they wove wonderfully renditioned harmonies and composed melodious ballads of sheer musical beauty. Their music was definitely made in heaven. 🙌😍😘😜

I stopped listening to Queen because I got obsessed with Pink Floyd and the Beatles and ten years later I started listening to Queens discography and I am mad at myself that I didn't continue listening more to Queens discography. Songs like The Millionaire Waltz are songs that people should really be talking about a lot more because this song is amazing!!! This unique song is a masterpiece of musical cross- over by Queen, with its typical Viennese "Zither" music of the style made famous in the film classic with Orson Welles, "The Third Man", played magnificently by Brian May on his guitar, then the typical Waltz sections backed brilliantly by Roger and John on drums and bass - but to crown it all, Freddie Mercury doing a fantastic " Marlene Dietrich" imitation complete with perfect German accent !!! How musically flexible these young men were, it is every time one hears this track a wonder and surprise, and joy. Thanks for reviewing this not very typical, but outstanding piece of Queen's music, Andy. ❤

You seem to have an ear for talented musicians and have a groove for good music, so there is a video I think you should check out. By the band "Emerson, lake and palmer." (ELP). The video is "ELP live drum solo 1970 from Switzerland.". Even if you have copyright problems and can't share on you're channel you should check it out for you're own enjoyment. It's a piece of Rock history and something you should experience at least once. Watch until the end, the keyboard player gets pretty wild himself. There are many live videos of his drum solos but the Switzerland solo is him in his prime and kicking ass! Peace man

I had never heard this song. There was SO much going on in this song ... Almost TOO much, but there is no way that I, as a humble nobody, would question the musical intelligence of Queen/Freddie.

Can we also get a moment of silence for John Deacons bass on this song and, of course, the absolute magic of Brian May's one-of-a-kind guitar tone and melody choices. Spectacular

Jesus, from the first album, released in 1973, hooked me on Queen and Freddie Mercury. That voice, that talent. I spent the next decade and a half devouring every album. So great to see the appreciation by the current generation. Freddie would be pleased. Thank you.

Just catching up on some of your older vids; i like your analysis of the song. It always reminds a bit of what a three penny opera might have been like. Mozart did a lot of those stuffy, structured operas for the aristocracy, but he really loved mixing it up with the common folk and doing more raucous, wild and unconventional productions. I suppose that’s what true artists are like.

Hi Andy. I’m new to your channel and would love to hear your reaction to Queen “Now I’m here”, written by Brian May. When Queen was on tour Brian got sick with hepatitis and they had to cancel the tour. Brian was worried about being replaced that he wrote this song. If you listen to the lyrics it all makes sense. Not to mention a killer song.

yess ur back w some Queen🎉🙏🏻✨ great reaction btw!☺️ and the song always gives me kinda Disney vibes I don’t know why actually 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
I have some good songs for you to check out if you are also interested in hearing the other members of Queen sing more- also together with Freddie. And yes the other members really have great singing voices, too!
First we have Freddie‘s crystal clear and very changeable voice, than there is Roger Taylor’s (the drummer) strong but also very high- pitched voice what makes it possible for him to kill extremely high notes and for conclusion there is Brian May‘s (the guitarist) warm and very soft voice what makes their voices harmonizing together sound like angels.John Deacon, the bass player was actually the only one that never sang on any Queen track because he always thought his voice couldn’t keep up with the others.
„Let me live“ ( in this every one sings a part of the song )
„Seaside Rendezvous“ (in this Freddie and Roger are singing together while also impressively imitating different instruments with their voices)
„39“ (in this Brian May does the lead- vocals but you also hear the others sing-especially Roger’s really high falsetto)
„No one but you“ (In this you hear Brian May and Roger Taylor singing together. It is dedicated to Freddie and was released after his death)
„Rock it (Prime Jive)“ (In this Roger Taylor does lead vocals but Freddie is also singing)
„Fun it“ (Roger and Freddie singing together)
„Too much love will kill you-(Brian May version)“ (Lead vocals Brian May)
„Tenement Funster“ (Lead vocals Roger Taylor)
„All Dead, All Dead“ (Brian lead singing, the others backing vocals)
„I’m in love with my car“ (Roger Taylor lead vocals)
„Since You’ve been gone“ (Brian May solo from his solo project)
„Man on fire“ (Roger Taylor solo from his solo project)
I hope you read my comment and that ur interested in checking them out 😌! See yaa 👌🏻🎸
