As son as he said, "This is 2009 and we should expect.." my eyes grew wider as it is curently 2015 and I scrolled to the description box to check the post date... 2009
JotalianLeague i did the same thing, it was suprising, Joe was so tiny back then xD and you can clearly see he was trying to find his "thing" its kind of cute in a way xD but man he is grown up now, he is more confident in his reviews and the acting,
JotalianLeague yeah i love joe too, my very first review i watched with him was the walking dead survival instinct, and with any new person i subscribed to i was very new to him so i felt so lost, but now 3 years later i know him and his style now(not personally you know what i mean) and i feel right at home whenever i watch one of his videos, hovewer i usually stay away from his pre 2010 reviews as they arent as good as his 2011+ reviews, because of what i mentioned earlier, he was trying to find his own "thing", he have improved so much its amazing, i feel happy whenever he post a new review, i do wish he would post more frequently though, instead of like 1 or 2 per month.
Almost like with Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Sine UMvC3 was a huge improvement with an improved roster, well balanced system, and way stuff to do like Heros vs Heralds and Galatcus mode where u play as Glalatcus giving you a chance to pown everyone in sight.
KOF XII sucked, but again, it was pretty much a beta compared to XIII. It didn't even have a final boss or a story mode. XIII fixed all of XII's flaws, including putting more characters, balancing everything, nice hand-drawn sprites (instead of the reused sprites from other KOF games), story modes for each team, team endings and having tough sub-bosses and bosses (Billy wasn't that tough, Ash was kind of a pain in the ass. Saiki can go to hell, along with Dark Ash's spammy ass).
EyesofNova Yeah, I got bored with 12 so fast for the roster was a disappointment and the story mode suck balls. If 13 and 14 was never made, then the franchise wouldof died.
@GamerLuna I like XIV not because of the gameplay, because the story. I love XIII more than XIV because both story and gameplay are great, and graphics is beautiful. I like doing K' combos and it was awesome. The game will never die. Until our 7th generation. If you love XIV, don't change my mind.
Ok Joe, A couple things about the Characters 1) That's Kyo Kusanagi, AKA The guy who your character, in a game your friend created, is based off of. 2) Ryo Sakazaki. The infamous Ryu "clone" from Art of Fighting. 3) Terry Bogard. One of the biggest badasses in fighting game history. Hails from the game Fatal Fury, just like Joe Higashi. 4) Iori Yagami. I really don't know why he dresses like that. 5) Ralf Jones (Red) and Clark Still (Blue). In the arcade and NES ports of Ikari Warriors,
Review was pretty darn legit for it's time. Honestly, don't blame Joe for not knowing characters because SNK has that small North American popularity due to Sony America being an asshat bout localizing most of their ps2 games. Add to the fact that 12 and 13 had the most commercial hype behind them since ever... KoF Maximum Impact? I mean who would believe Ash Crimson was the current main character even tho he's on the cover? No one cept for people who played 11 and 2003. Even 13 was disappointing a bit with a demanding netcode and no voices during the story, but small gripes. Oh well. I still wish SNK the best and hope their next game is something better because they do have something special in their games. It's probably love. I'mah go with that one.
For those who followed KOF series from like KOF 94 to right around KOF 99. You would know the series began to lose a bit of soul in the subsequent series and by KOF 12. Its got nothing left. The KOF 12 has nothing in common with the originals.
D Perete thanks for the latest info.. i know about their history but not about the latest chinese takeovers... hope its a positive one i dunno...i still think the new designs is not as cool as the old ones... not being nostalgic or anything... just that i think the old ones is better... cheers :)
Justin Gochioco Why do you like street x tekken ? It was awful, the story is a mess, pandora mode sucks, only one ultra per character and al the dlc was already in the disc. It is not a good game. Look for kof 13, its better than kof 12 and theres 2 supers per character and a ultra.
SFXT is such a very fun game. First of all I already unlocked the 12 characters 2 months ago. Also I love playing it online since it has endless battle, scramble matches, and it even has replay channels for all 52 characters. Also the story i a chance for me unleash my combo moves on the AI. Overall, I just think it is a really great game and you can't convine me other wise man.
I know KOF series well since 95 (94 is the 1st one released) and I'm a fan of all SNK fighting games, so I'm familiar with all of the characters. But in the King Of Fighters XII, a new gamer will be confused and not attached to them, like Joe said as there's no character introduction or information about them. It's definitely the weakest of the entire KOF series, not bad, still a good one. 97 is my favorite one.
Nowadays, saying stuff like "fighting games should be about fighting" is the same as saying something like "shooter games should be about shooting, so don't make games like Half-Life 2" or "strategy games should be about making strategy, so no Warcraft 3 nor Starcraft 2."
I feel that KOF is a better game than Street Fighter. My arcade never had street fighter arcade machines, so my first entry was Third Strike, and I just never enjoyed it.
Oh I definitely like street fighter as my favorite lol :) but hell ya give some more attention to KOF!! Then even go all out and do another vs game for both series lol
King Of Fighters actually has a wondefully rich and diverse cast of characters, and a very in-depth storyline. If you want to know about the KOF universe, there are 11 other KOF games out there, and they even re-released the first 5 games under the title "King Of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga". I highly reccommend going back and playing the previous games in the series; it has evolved ENORMOUSLY over the years, and it will likely enrich the entire KOF experience for you.
I had the same reaction for this one. Much like the Soul Calibur franchise, the story was always so dense and excellently written that it proved to be not only great incentive to play solo but also to experiment with the extensive roster. But this was left behind to make way for online play, which is nothing short of disappointing
no he's not he's not even the best in KOF Iori Kyo K' are better than him he has a great story and he is a lovable guy but the rivalry between Iori and Kyo is what makes KOF so special for me
he definitely is, and I understand if he's your favorite, I am just saying I would put Kyo and Iori ahead of him on the best KOF characters list maybe Kyo Terry and then Iori but yeah Kyo has always been my favorite but I love Terry too
I'd accept that. Regardless no SNK fan would not have Terry in the top 5 fighters. While I love the Kyo vs Iori for honor plot the Terry and Geese vengeance story carries more weight for me.
Yeah, he says "no story", like, saying none of the KoF games have a story, if you play just one game, you won't get the storyline, and it's even worse when the game it's some kind of a beta test like you said
Angry Joe, seeing as tho you mentioned it in the beginning, would you mind doing a review of the BlazBlue games? Both Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift.
King of fighter is my favorite fighting game ever.. all the series, but it looks like angry joe is right... there is no story behind it no more.... but for me the best of all king of fighter games is The 2002 KOF...
I love how SNK be like "Fuck it, we screwed up this piece of shit. Let's make a sequel that's 10x better than this shit and add 200% more content to it" instead of Capcom who's like "Oh no our game is missing 3 characters that we "forgot" to put in the original game. Well let's make a Super Ultra Hyper Fighting Anniversary HD Remix Edition of it that adds only those 3 characters and charge the same $60 for it
The first time I played a KOF game was when KOF 13 came out on PC in the Steam store. I really liked it. And since it was a part 13 of the series I wanted to unearth the whole story of the game starting from '94, as there are tons of references from the previous games. I played through all the episodes of the series and enjoyed all of them a lot. KOF 13 made me buy a USD game pad. I agree with Joe, that the KOF 12 castrated content leaves no choice but to give a game a 6 out of 10. Luckily, the developers addressed the issues in the next installment. P. S. A side note: Joe Higashi's archetype is a comedy sidekick character.
GT M Yeah, but its been like 5 years since the initial release and 2 years since the release of pc... I hope he can read this comment and review it just a little bit
kenterminatedbygoogle I heard there were a few changes in gameplay here and there, but then again, I haven't played it myself so I am not sure. But most bosses are cheap douchebags though, specially SNK's XD
02:20 WE SHALL FIGHT AGAIN!!! ONLY THIS TIME, I WILL BE JOE HIGASHI!! THE KING OF FIGHTERS!!!I CANNOT LOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!! Crak me up every fucking time 😂
It says full review at site, but the site seems to have been removed. Is there a repost now that the limit is higher?? Also all of these older videos have some intense random audio cut outs. Can someone at youtube do something about this or let Joe know?
Ash is literally the only good character in the series, since he isn't in the new game it doesn't intrest me. What is up with fighters not including the best characters lately anyway?
Kanny Boy there where once 13 main protages characters in kof ,kim ,kyo ,k, iori, terry, andy, sie, palnoraff from jojo, leona, that one character from 3d kof ,athena ,ryo, and ash .....now there are still only 13 because ash never existed....rip ash, you where the best kick based character in kof 12 , and most likely had a better move set in kof 13
Fun fact, KOF is very tough to have story into it, because the game is basically like Marvel vs Capcom which is pretty much bunch of other SNK charactors just fighting together. Idk, does MvC has story?
KOF 12 sucked alright. Although the gameplay and graphic was nice. But the roster and story mode was sadly lacking. Thank god that 13 and 14 came into existence with better rosters.
As a note, Joe, analog sticks SUUUUUUCK for fighting games. You either need an arcade stick, for full arm motions, or, my prefered, a d-pad for instant input. Fighting games only register full movement of the sticks so the d-pad is the quickest and most responsive. The main reason I haven't played KI is because the d-pad on the Xbone controller sucks. Thankfully, that's the only Microsoft exclusive fighter so I can enjoy the others with the sweet Playstation d-pad.
The final way you're right, (now assuming that you're not talking about watching ESPN or "star" focused football coverage), is how if I play football myself, I don't care about "the story of the ball I'm kicking." That's why I don't keep score, count yards, or determine an ultimate winner. In my opinion, that kind of "storyline" focused gaming is absurd. I basically just kick the ball in random directions, and instead of timing beginning, middle, end, I just quit when tired. I love football.
I'll probably get it when there's a price drop. I've gotten so much into fighting games. If you want. review BlazBlue. Finally, a fighting game that has an awesome story.
It is Tan Dun's 'For The World' composed for the soundtrack to the Jet Li movie Hero. You may recognise it because Tan Dun also did the composition for the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon movie although this piece doesnot feature. The piece you mention is called "Farewell" by Tan Dun.
I found this searching for an early review of KOF 14. Never knew this existed!!! Hey joe, as a long of time fan of yours I would Love to see you review KOF 14!
My childhood game, even through I was really good at recent KOF, I sill think that KOF 98 IS THE BEST FIGHTING GAME EVER. I still play it now 16 year later and it still so damn good.
Yup to bad... you can really appreciate KOF when you star playing it from 94, because the where story starts... and you can follow the story from each game from 94 to XIII and find out more details in other KOF RPG game novel and manga, it has a great story... probably the best in my own nerd opinion in all fighting games...
KOF XII doesn't deserve a 6/10, It deserves a 1/10 because of lack of features, no story, lonely ass character roster and shit controls, this game should've been called KOF Beta. KOF 13 gotten a bit better but the roster is still just as vanilla and it looks just as generic as KOF 98 and 2002 nothing new aside from the sprites from both XII and XIII and the final bosses are a MASSIVE disappointment even the DLC characters we only get is NEST Kyo, Classic Iori and Billy and that's it. Glad KOF 14 gotten better since it had more characters, better gameplay and more features.
those new characters....are just ripoffs other characters that all ready exist , some of them just mashup of other characters which are better then the rip offs .
Well, the KoF series has never been known for its story, but at least the older games had stories. Joe was saying about how these characters came about... well, KoF started out Super Smash Bros. style. SNK just took most of their fighting game characters and threw it into one game and created some new ones. I've actually thought the older games had good storylines, just not well presented, with Orochi and everything.
Pretty fair review. I hope you get to review KOF XIII soon cause they fixed everything that was wrong with this one (except maybe the online mode, but we can hope for a patch since they are releasing DLC) and SNK definetly needs this game to at least break even to continue the saga. (in fact, I think it's a miracle XIII saw the light of day after the XII fiasco).
From the start of the characters Joe shows... Kyo Kusanagi,Ryo Sasaki,Terry Bogart,Iori Yagami,Ralf Jones,Clark Still...others shown where Mai Shiranui and Joe Higashi...my fave is Yamasaki...i do love the fact that they revived the cancel moves for the super desperation attacks(MAX DOA or MAX2 depending of which KOF you've played before)other than that its better as an Arcade game :/
Me too. Although mortal kombat became my most favorite one there's no denying that SNK makes great games. Also how do you rate the killer instinct series?
I'm an KOF guy, but KOF12 is clearly nothing more than a working title. Devs attempt to test the waters in the 7th gen era. They redraw all the character sprites but still hasn't perfected it yet as the details can blur and turn edgy when they zoomed in during matches. Roster was small and I think they intentionally did it that way to try the PS3/X360 first. But the biggest culprit is why they released this with little to no content, its the same mistake did by SF5 . Its half baked and in the beta testing stage.
I got this game yesterday, and I must say, I really like it. Once the lag issues are fixed, This will definately be my online fighter of choice. Until then, I'll just keep playing arcade and practice to sharpen up for that.
Joe. The game lacks of story because it actually dont have one. Is considered a test because they wanted to know if people (mostly fans) accept the new apperance and changes in the combat system. Its like a dream match along with KOF 98 or 2002. It would be nice if you make a new review about KOF XIII (you know in retrospecive, since the game isnt new anymore) And well, keep the nice job Joe. Except for Guilds wars (10/10 is too much) and Saints Row 3 (6/10 is a bit low) you do it wonderfull.
Wow, you don't know about Ryo or even Terry? I can understand not knowing the rest of them but those two are pretty well known in the fighting universe. I would recommend KOF 2006, that's one of the best KOF titles in recent years. Nice review!
Technically, there's not many easy fighting games...the only thing it varies is how low the entry bar is. BlazBlue is beginner friendly (as is Persona 4: Arena), but tournament level players do some really crazy and difficult things. KOF is moderately hard to get into if you're a beginner, and it goes up there when you progress with combos and such. But there's no overall easy fighting game, each one of them has their own mechanics that can and will be pushed to their limits in the end.
actually they did have (hell more than tht! they went through arcs and sagas) 1. The Rugal Saga 2. Orochi Saga 3. NESTS 4. Ash Crimson's Arc 5. and currently on the Those Of The Past Saga (where a mysterious group decides to resurrect Orochi and one of Rugal's kids, Rose Bernstein, is hosting KOF 13 along with her older bro Adelheid Bernstein) btw Joe.......the red head dressed in those weird clothes happens to be intregal to the story (especially the Orochi Saga)
Hey Joe, if you want a place to put up your videos where the audio demonitizes your videos I'd suggest Rumble. It's a new video and live streaming website that is free of a lot of the restrictions of RUclips.
The other way you're right is how football is just a single vs match that doesn't connect to any vs match, thus prohibiting a system of meta causality, ongoing "plot," or the idea of an overarching "story." Imagine if there was like a season finale of football, and it somehow was the climax of all the other games in the season. That would be so stupid, you would have to watch multiple games to fully understand the story of the season. Oh wait... that does exist. It's called the Super Bowl...
I kinda wanna see you review the next KOF. It's a bit old now, but it vastly improves upon this one. I'd be interested to see your view on it after watching this.
KOF XIII has a story mode-extremely confusing for a newcomer to the franchise like me. Why are people in groups? Why are those people with those other people? Is it hard to add a glossary? Basic background, who the character likes, who they don't like, and their goals? Anything? I was hyped, but the lack of background information drove me away.
By the way, SNK pretty much said that KOF XII was basically a test of the new system and fighting mode, and it took so long because of the fact that everything was hand-drawn. So, they said that XII will be missing a huge chunk, and just released the finished characters with a few stages to see people's reactions, and then continue the Ash arc with XIII. Just sayin'. There's a reason that there is no story mode. This is XIII's beta.
As son as he said, "This is 2009 and we should expect.." my eyes grew wider as it is curently 2015 and I scrolled to the description box to check the post date... 2009

JotalianLeague yes...2015..
yo. no fuckin way. Jesus christ
It is a good game, but it was lacking a lot of characters and it was rushed out. XIII was totally a redo and it was awesome.

EyesofNova I disagree. I think it was more a toe dip in the pool. 13 Was the cannonball.
EyesofNova Yeah, I got bored with 12 so fast for the roster was a disappointment and the story mode suck balls. If 13 and 14 was never made, then the franchise wouldof died.
EyesofNova plus the eng dub sucked too
Shame he never did a KOF XIII review
No Mai no buy ahahahah
Panagiotis Goulas I bought 12 and I totally regret buying it. For my boi K’ wasn’t in it. Well during the release time.
He didn't review KOF 13 and KOF 14 which were fantastic..
@GamerLuna 14 is better than 13 dc. The only think I like more in XIII is the graphics
@Gamerluna 14 looks like a low budget ps2 game while 13 looks like a AAA 2015 games
Joe, can you review King of Fighters XIII?
TERRY BOGARD!!!!
"ARE YOU OHKAI?! BUSTA WUUUUULF!!!!!"
Ok Joe, A couple things about the Characters
1) That's Kyo Kusanagi, AKA The guy who your character, in a game your friend created, is based off of.
2) Ryo Sakazaki. The infamous Ryu "clone" from Art of Fighting.
3) Terry Bogard. One of the biggest badasses in fighting game history. Hails from the game Fatal Fury, just like Joe Higashi.

The music in the beginning is from Kung Fu Hustle =)
my childhood game was from 95 to 2000 and my favorite was 99 and 98
My child hood game was from Street Fighter 2 all the way though the Ultra SF 4 and my fav was Street Fighter X Tekken.
Justin Gochioco Why do you like street x tekken ?

Absolutely, Orochi Saga is the best ;)
We all know that 12 was just a lead up to 13.
Hearing him say "this is 2009 an we should expect more" sounds funny in 2015..
It sounds even funnier in 2019!
And even funnier in 2021!
Now in 2022!
KOF12 was basically a friggin' DEMO. On the other side, KOF13 is definitely awesome and corrects everything that was wrong with the prequel.
Nowadays, saying stuff like "fighting games should be about fighting" is the same as saying something like "shooter games should be about shooting, so don't make games like Half-Life 2" or "strategy games should be about making strategy, so no Warcraft 3 nor Starcraft 2."
Jesus Christ you were a child and OJ wasn’t even born then.
Who is this guy?Pointing to Kyo Kusanagi. LOL
yeah I think i died a little from the inside when he said that
Jeeze dude, you were so young and full of life and ...and not bitter
I feel that KOF is a better game than Street Fighter. My arcade never had street fighter arcade machines, so my first entry was Third Strike, and I just never enjoyed it.
Street Fighter is a overrated series just like Tekken is! The King of Fighters deserves more attention
Oh I definitely like street fighter as my favorite lol :) but hell ya give some more attention to KOF!! Then even go all out and do another vs game for both series lol
I honestly miss Momoko more than Mai. She was so cute and so much fun to play in KoF XI.
If i remember correctly the two similar looking guys are the ones from the old ikari warriors games.
King Of Fighters actually has a wondefully rich and diverse cast of characters, and a very in-depth storyline.

KOF needs more love imo. Gulty Gear just got a new game release Xrd. And Blah-Blue is just... there.
Those are some good questions. Why is Iori dressed like that? xD
As for Ash, SNK wanted an attactive male character that was evil. Still, fuck Ash.
Ash is a creep
Stephen Aderanti He's still just good 'ole frec-face to me.
RUclips killing history with its censorship.😢
I'll have you know joe, That "trucker guy"....
Is a Beast.
That beast is the Best fighting game character of all time
no he's not he's not even the best in KOF Iori Kyo K' are better than him he has a great story and he is a lovable guy but the rivalry between Iori and Kyo is what makes KOF so special for me
@@awaister Terry is the Original King of Fighters!
he definitely is, and I understand if he's your favorite, I am just saying I would put Kyo and Iori ahead of him on the best KOF characters list maybe Kyo Terry and then Iori but yeah Kyo has always been my favorite but I love Terry too
I'd accept that. Regardless no SNK fan would not have Terry in the top 5 fighters.
While I love the Kyo vs Iori for honor plot the Terry and Geese vengeance story carries more weight for me.
what type of effect do you use. that it look like a crash of the cam
This Game was kinda like a beta test, They wanted to see how the fans took the new graphics.
Yeah, he says "no story", like, saying none of the KoF games have a story, if you play just one game, you won't get the storyline, and it's even worse when the game it's some kind of a beta test like you said
a $65 dollar beta test, wonderful.
The Shadowgate Keeper games did not cost that much back in the day
Angry Joe, seeing as tho you mentioned it in the beginning, would you mind doing a review of the BlazBlue games? Both Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift.
Please do a review of kof 13 Joe! Thanks.
I think you should tell him in his website
The full episode on your site won't work. :(
King of fighter is my favorite fighting game ever.. all the series, but it looks like angry joe is right... there is no story behind it no more.... but for me the best of all king of fighter games is The 2002 KOF...
I love how SNK be like "Fuck it, we screwed up this piece of shit. Well let's make a Super Ultra Hyper Fighting Anniversary HD Remix Edition of it that adds only those 3 characters and charge the same $60 for it
too bad 13 does not have good netcode and did not sell well :(
KF97 is the best one!

I would like to see a KOF XIII video. I know it's been two years since it's release but, I still wanna see what Mr. Joe here thinks about it. c:
Plus theres a story this time :D
earl andre elizan Exactly! I want to hear his opinion on it as well X3
GT M Yeah, but its been like 5 years since the initial release and 2 years since the release of pc... I hope he can read this comment and review it just a little bit
GT M XIII is basically the same as this game, except it has a pretty good story mode (even though, the boss is a cheap douchebag :( )
kenterminatedbygoogle I heard there were a few changes in gameplay here and there, but then again, I haven't played it myself so I am not sure. But most bosses are cheap douchebags though, specially SNK's XD

WE SHALL FIGHT AGAIN!!! ONLY THIS TIME, I WILL BE JOE HIGASHI!! THE KING OF FIGHTERS!!!I CANNOT LOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!
Crak me up every fucking time 😂
u need to play and review tekken
OMG YAS
I was disappointed that when he mentioned 2009 being the best year of fighting games, he didnt talk about Tekken 6
the best Tekken
Trucker guy you mean Terry Boggard has been in SNK games since 1991
KOF XIII Steam edition please?
or just the console ports?
Ever since 2009 and forever, thanks to Angry Joe, I will always pronounce Blazblue “BLAA LOOOOOH!!!!!” Thank you for this timeless review, Joe.
Joe Higasgi looks like Gon Freecs from HunterxHunter
It says full review at site, but the site seems to have been removed.
Is there a repost now that the limit is higher??
Also all of these older videos have some intense random audio cut outs. Can someone at youtube do something about this or let Joe know?
Did he just diss Ash Crimson? ...... And on this day, I vow to destroy Joe and his entire army..
Ash is literally the only good character in the series, since he isn't in the new game it doesn't intrest me. What is up with fighters not including the best characters lately anyway?
Because Ash literally got erased from existence in KOFXIII?
yeah i like hiw move set and all exept his gay aperance
Kanny Boy there where once 13 main protages characters in kof ,kim ,kyo ,k, iori, terry, andy, sie, palnoraff from jojo, leona, that one character from 3d kof ,athena ,ryo, and ash .....now there are still only 13 because ash never existed....rip ash, you where the best kick based character in kof 12 , and most likely had a better move set in kof 13
There are at least 30 characters in KOF better than ash
Fun fact, KOF is very tough to have story into it, because the game is basically like Marvel vs Capcom which is pretty much bunch of other SNK charactors just fighting together. Idk, does MvC has story?
Jun Kim KoF still has a better and larger story than SF tho
isnt the backdrop the background used in chugaconroys pokemon Lp xD
I wonder if Joe ever picked up King of Fighters XIII. It has all the missing content Joe was looking for
I love that score in the background, it's so beautiful. It's from Hero; man I need to buy that soundtrack.
KOF 12 sucked alright. Although the gameplay and graphic was nice. But the roster and story mode was sadly lacking. Thank god that 13 and 14 came into existence with better rosters.
13 years later.
What are clans in the Playstation 3 version?
Don’t mind me, just reliving some of my teenage years with old videos. Still a nerd in 2020 lol
Why is there no sound
same
I'll probably get it when there's a price drop. I've gotten so much into fighting games. If you want. review BlazBlue. Finally, a fighting game that has an awesome story.
Those 2 army looking guys (Ralph and clark) are a cameo.
Does someone know the titles of the soundtracks used throughout this video?
I found this searching for an early review of KOF 14. Never knew this existed!!!
Hey joe, as a long of time fan of yours I would
Love to see you review KOF 14!
@conradojavier I've been seeing footage of it. is it any good?
the last guy is from metal slug? with the shades
no dude thats SNK Playmores other game: Ikari warriors. Although they do look like characters from metal slug, I dont blame you.
hey does anybody know the name of the music at 4:18 ?
Glad KOF 14 gotten better since it had more characters, better gameplay and more features.
and mr.karate(takuma)
those new characters....are just ripoffs other characters that all ready exist , some of them just mashup of other characters which are better then the rip offs .
What was said at the ned of this video when you beat Venom?
Playing Dragon's Dogma and almost ran off the cliff looking at Chun Li and Mai
Smash Mai Shiranui controversy happened ages ago, too.
But, I wonder how many people remember Mai Shiranui rejected here too
From the start of the characters Joe shows...
At least The King of Fighters XIII was a success
No it wasn't.
@@tobasaful um I'm talking about KOF 13 Not KOF 12
@@ZionMathisAKASonicFan1999 yea it sold just as bad if not worse sadly
Spot on review. However, you forgot to mention that SNK/Ignition is going to release a new patch that puts the netcode on par with SF4.
whats the sad music?
does anyone know the violin song at 4:20
I used to play Fatal Fury and KoF back then in the arcades... man those games were HARD.
SNK fighting games were also a lot harder than Capcom's
Me too. Although mortal kombat became my most favorite one there's no denying that SNK makes great games. Also how do you rate the killer instinct series?
KI was pretty good. It was in between Street fighter and mortal kombat. Although perhaps less famous it's still quite an iconic game.
Ralf and Clark are original KOF fighting characters. They are what Sagat and Blanka are to street fighter and Lei and Law are to Tekken.
But there's no overall easy fighting game, each one of them has their own mechanics that can and will be pushed to their limits in the end.
actually they did have (hell more than tht! they went through arcs and sagas)
1. The Rugal Saga
2. Orochi Saga
3. NESTS
4. Ash Crimson's Arc
5. and currently on the Those Of The Past Saga (where a mysterious group decides to resurrect Orochi and one of Rugal's kids, Rose Bernstein, is hosting KOF 13 along with her older bro Adelheid Bernstein)
btw Joe.......the red head dressed in those weird clothes happens to be intregal to the story (especially the Orochi Saga)
I would like to see what he thinks of neo wave or xiii or eaven xiv
Is KOF13 good? I want to get into this series.
Is Mai in it? ^_^
Hey Joe, if you want a place to put up your videos where the audio demonitizes your videos I'd suggest Rumble. It's a new video and live streaming website that is free of a lot of the restrictions of RUclips.
When are you going to do the review for King of Fighters XIII?
I tried to wathc this on You Tube through my X-box and I moves like a slideshow. Anyone know why?
The other way you're right is how football is just a single vs match that doesn't connect to any vs match, thus prohibiting a system of meta causality, ongoing "plot," or the idea of an overarching "story." Imagine if there was like a season finale of football, and it somehow was the climax of all the other games in the season. That would be so stupid, you would have to watch multiple games to fully understand the story of the season. Oh wait... that does exist. It's called the Super Bowl...
5:24 Really....? People complain about that....? Why...?
...Hmmmm...where did you get the image? X3 I want some.
+Nightcaster460 You can't have a good fighting game without the sex appeal, that's why.
Derly Martinez Are you serious...? What about the fighting, the moves, the supers, the stylized hud, graphics, etc.
+Nightcaster460 Fuck all of that, I want some boob.
XD
***** In all seriousness, I think that's the reason why I want Soul Caliber II HD. Because panties
I kinda wanna see you review the next KOF. It's a bit old now, but it vastly improves upon this one. I'd be interested to see your view on it after watching this.
AJ... play the old SNK games, they will kick your ass so hard you will wear it as an hat.
does joe ever review ps3 only games?
This is XIII's beta.
its a shame this angry Joe got eaten by new angry Joe
