- Ted Nugent is Miami Vice guest star! Do you know that Ted Nugent's screen debut was in the episode "Definitely Miami'' of Miami Vice as Charlie Basset? Basset was running a con game with his wife Callie (Arielle Dombasle) to kill drug buyers, take their money, and bury them (and their cars) in mile-high sand.
From Miami Vice season 2 episode 13 'Definitely Miami': Gangster boss Sergio Clemente seeks Crockett and Tubbs' help to testify against his organisation, but only under one condition: he wants to talk to his sister Maria first.

Ted Nugent even dies like a rock star
The ending using the song Cry at the end is quite possibly the most quintessential MV poster moment.
👍
Hard to imagine that the original airing didn't actually use that music for the ending. It's become such a part of that in our memory.
@@MiddleMalcolm say what? I swear I recall that’s what played in January 1986 lol. My mind is tricking me?
@@ephraimfink9010 sure I remember that song as well watched it in the UK. Why would they change it?
@@VIP-rp3oq I don’t think they did. Don’t know why Malcolm Boyce said they did
That fake slap is gold 🤣🤣
Embarrassingly bad.
Director: “Cut!! We need more oil on Ted Nugent’s chest!”
chest hair is a major fashion set point throughout the entire series. Every episode has extensive chest hair for the men showing.
"but sir he's already dead!"
"I SAID MORE OIL!!!"
This was during the series' peak IMO. Several signature episodes, back to back to back.
Crockett's reaction time is beyond measure!
If someone asked me what Miami Vice was, I would show them this episode. 😎
"You got something for me?"
Well yeah I do
@@ftdefiance1 yup,Zito in his back pocket
Trust me, I know first hand
I'd show them Phil the Shill. Phil Collins plays a caricature of himself who happens to be a cocaine dealer
Or milk run... Or smugglers blues...or Evan or El Viejo or out where the buses don't run.
_Seriously one of the best episodes of the entire five seasons. Miami Vice is the 80s, period. (Cool fact: when this particular episode aired, the black '85 Corvette was just a few years into production, making it even more hot to own)._
That's a Daytona spider Modified corvette.
How did post italics?
@@timhoovermusicman _Not talking about Crocket's car. Watch the episode, then you'll understand the car Nugent is driving._
@@rubyred93chev I got you... Too interested in Arielle to notice his car I guess🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@timhoovermusicman _she was Definitely Miami._
Great episode! Definetely Miami 👌🏻
Ted was 2-3 years away from turning 40 in 1986. He wasn't super young. Just a few months older than DJ.
Unlike the rest of Hollywood, Ted knows how to handle a gun too.
That's good, because he sure can't act.
@@kenhoward3512 Come on , man he was good in this . Is he supposed to chew up scenery ? Are you a Pro Actor ? The late great Writer Gore Vidal made a good cameo on an old 70s show. People wondered how he managed to be as good as the Pros . Vidal who had worked in the film industry as a screenwriter said “ The Europeans discovered a long time ago that if a person fits the physical type of the role and is comfortable with themselves then acting is an easy thing to do . No one should have trouble acting except for certain professional actors of course. “
@@kenhoward3512 can you post a video of you receiving your Academy award?
He'd better cuz he can't act
@@angiearbogast5424 and you can?
One of my favorite episodes! ❤
Uncle Ted was and is the epitome of Kool.
0:45 woah
And that is why he's "The Motor City Madman".
I really need to get this series on DVD...
Whole series is on Amazon Prime free for members to stream.
@@ashleighelizabeth5916 Thanks, but I'm one of those people where, if I buy something, I'm keeping it.
The Motor City Madman was actually pretty good.
He's basically playing himself

😂🤣
My favorite episode of MV.
mine is Calderones Return Part 2
@@goriflex2441 yes that is also a great episode.
Hard to pin a favorite but this is in the top with El Viejo, smugglers blues, milk run,Evan but my favorite is out where the buses don't run.
@@timhoovermusicman Agree with Timhoover this episode and Out Where the Buses Don’t Run are the number 1 & 2 of Miami Vice. 👍
Best series 4ever!!! What a great time...where is the time machine to go back???
This Is One of the Best Sends Out Of Miami vice Long Live Uncle Ted
The best show ever on TV
Don OWNED that roll.
The legendary TED NUGENT!!!✊
Crockett's Ferrari Daytona was actually a modified Corvette. Ferrari executives were so upset that this ersatz Ferrari was gaining such popularity that they offered to provide the series with their new flagship car, the Testarossa.
It was, apart from the series pilot "Brother's Keeper" where they used a real Daytona. It belonged to a dentist who refused to lend them his car again after it was damaged during the filming of that episode.
Godley and Creme Cry at the end badass
Sonny's reflexes are faster than a bullet. Nuge fires, bullet leaves gun, and Crockett grabs briefcase and moves it FASTER than a bullet to protect him. HAHAHA!
Best episode ever!
Definitely Miami- this was one of the best episodes of Miami Vice
Great episode, one of my favorites. I wonder what it was like working with Ted in an acting capacity? And how did it come about? Who contacted who first?
Good guy. Reached out to me. Knew him prior to the Vice
@@sonnycrockett_92 ~ 👍 Oh ok. I know he's very pro law enforcement. So it was interesting to see him play a bad guy role...
@@Deborahtunes he is. We had fun with it. Good guy. This was a fun one.
I served in the military with a guy who used to go mountain climbing with Ted Nugent. Said he wasn't "Hollywood", just thought of himself as an average joe who's good with a guitar. Said he was a madman on the mountain though. Liked to make jumps for new handholds even when he didn't need to. No safety line. I saw him in concert, and he did a backflip off a big speaker.. while still playing the guitar while in the air.. then landed perfectly. A patriot who personifies American Sprit.
@@StrongHarm ~ 😁😄😂 Sounds like a great show. It's true, he does love our country. His antics with Vietnam don't bother me. I wasn't there, so I have no right to judge anyone around that time period on what they did or didn't do...🎸🎶👍
Classic 80's TV; I miss shows like this.
Nuge was robbed! He should have won an Emmy for Best Guest Star! 😃
Great episode! 🌴☀️🥥
One of the best episodes, with two different stories going on at the same time. I love Tubbs telling Sonny that he attracts the weirdest women in the Western Hemisphere ♥️
We ♥️ Miami Vice!!!!!
❤️🇬🇷
Thank you. I love when he took off his hat. Best song at the end.
Ooo Ted went down with half dozen FMJs full metal jacket
Ted! He's awesome 🎸
Plus as I recall they played Little Miss Dangerous in this episode as well.
Cry from Godley and Creme, The instrumentals from Jan Hammer..
Nuge, Arielle, and Albert Hall as Joe Delva...a classic!
That all cannot be unseen.
This was the coldest episode there was!
Oh man. Never saw this one. It's badass.
The Nuge on Miami vice
Wow! Intense!
Ted Nugent went down like a rock star.
The look Crockett gave Zito in the end was one of relif Zito was there
Will always be my favourite Miami Vice episode. It’s pretty haunting at the end, when they uncover all the buried sports cars and dead drug dealers at the pit
Out Where the Busses Don't Run
Haha sweaty teddy bear the sheeite out of don Johnson , priceless
Hey, it's Uncle Ted.
One of the best episodes of the series- one that definitely stands out. Doesn't Ted blow up Crockett's car in this episode? I can't remember.....it's been a while since I watched it all the way through.
No, different guy, different episode.
Yeah, that was the one with the arms dealer. I think it's after this episode at some point in the leneage. @@ashleighelizabeth5916
I’m surprised he didn’t use a bow and arrow…
That would have been AWESOME,
If you want to know the essence of Miami Vice at it's best, but don't want to binge watch the whole series, I suggest watching Smuggler's Blues from season 1.
Glenn Frey was as good an actor as a rock star.
Or El Viejo or out where the buses don't run. Or milk run.
@@jaysantos536Both from Detroit too
Gene Simmons was on MV as well correct ?
yes
Gordon Liddy as well.
Bruce Willis, Giancarlo Esposito, Howie Mandell, Glen Fry,
Ted Nugent here oddly reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans 😅 Must be the hair...
The only episode I ever watched.
Do you have suzy amis in miami vice ?
Ted said he would not even aim a prop gun at a actor in scene
I just never knew this was Ted. Hadn’t seen episode since it originally aired and didn’t learn about and his music until a couple years later.
I think that was just Ted Nugent being himself.
Nugent is awesome
Callie unknowingly and potentially saved Crockett's life by asking Charlie not to shoot Crockett in the face.
lol you can see his microphone in his jacket
Why do I feel like I just saw Jim Carrie do an impression of Ted Nugent?!🤔
Love it!
live by it; die by it -- how very fitting
Uncle Ted...whoo hoo....
I would rather film a shooting scene with Ted Nugent than Alec Baldwin.
Surprised to see him hold a gun like in that first clip considering he's practically an expert.
TED COMING TO OWENSBORO KENTUCKY AUG 10 2022,,GOT MY TICKET!!!!!
Two against one... Not fair.
This episode was perfect for Theodore.
Neo noir episode was one of the best of MIAMI VICE.
The Motor city Madman
The Nuge is a natural.
"Faster than a speeding briefcase"! Wahi' Valleys
NugeFire!
🔥🔥🔥
No way Ted loses that gun fight.
An episode for the cartoon lover in all of us.
That Broad was certifiable CRRRRAAAAAZZZYYYYYYYY!!!!!!🤦🏼♂️
For some reason Nugent walking up and saying,"Burnett..." was burned into my brain.
I didn't know Ted Nudge could do the Michael Jackson dance. Lol.
It's Ted Nugent. Nothing's changed.
awesome Ted Nugent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rock star level awesomeness
I'm only hear because I saw him on Joe Rogan. At least he wrote Stranglehold.
Funniest thing about this is back then, cops weren't even allowed to carry semiautomatic weapons
Horse pucky! Law enforcement started switching on mass to semi automatics after the FBI shoot out in the early eighties! Some of the larger departments like Broward County in Florida were some of the 1st. Coincidentally the NYPD didn't switch to semi autos until well until the 1990s.😎
That depended upon department policy. Some had semis, some revolvers, some could have either.
Oh yea, Uncle Ted.
Godcreme cry 🔝🔝🔝❤️❤️
What makes me think Ted wrote his own script, lol???
Yeah man I remember Miami vice the alligator on the boat and a young Edward James olmos cool show indeed , they had many celeb guest stars Sheena Easton Samantha fox rex Harrington to name a few 😋💯👊🤘
Ain't 💩 without ya boys. Lol
lol I love this
Haha The fighting is so fake it's too obvious lmfaooo 😂
Miami vice expetacular seriado oss
Apparently, they just shot scenes of the Nuge on tour for this.
That was sick.
Ted plays a. Wild. Strongarm..to. Knock. Around. Crockett.. That way..wow!!!
Not believable. That woman was way too old for Ted.
Great actor uncle Ted, off course you knew how to handle a gun. You wheir a hunter.
