Thank you so much for talking about healing *while* leveling and not just only talking about healing at 60. I only ever found the info to down rank spells and was so confused as to why I would do so on level 30 or something. It seemed like I was chasing the hp bar of the tank with my heals, which just led to the same mana waste I would've had anyway with the highest rank of healing touch, so again: thanks for explaining that you actually don't down rank like that while leveling. I was searching so many guides for that confirmation.
Im regrowth spec with only 3 pieces of tier gear, I outheal most holy priests and resto shamans in raids. It's all about stacking mp5, potion timing, taking advantage of the 5 second rule when you can, and down ranking healing touch properly
For a while I thought I’d stick to feral even at 60 but I healed for a pug yesterday and really enjoyed it. Might just do the HotW spec to get the best of both worlds
Did you end up going Feral/NS ? Even in raids ? I would love to go Feral/NS to start with even tho Moonglow is super nice... but having the possibility to do everything just really seems legit to me
Hey brother, one thing u haven't touched on is druid add-ons. Which add-ons do you use? Particularly the one that shows which person in your raid is already being healed whilst your casting so you know not to target them. Thanks!
Lvl 53 and i cant wait to get to 60 and switch to moonglow. You sold me on it!! I like to do pvp and pve and i think natural shapeshifter is a must.. maybe its just me but deep feral /motw build kinda sucks in pvp. Go oom too fast.
I am currently lvl 51 and I am doing max rank HT on my tanks, I usually wait till 65-70% before I start loading it up, having some idea of how much damage he will take before it's done. And usually the tank is at 45%ish health when I land it and pops him up again. Tho I havent entered the real dungeons yet such as BRD, strat and scholo so this might not work in there tho.
I am really enjoying hotw spec as 11/29/11. I just mix my gear with, almost all feral except wep and tier 2 helm/ pants. Which give me a nice mana pool and +healing for pvp. My damage is still very noticeable and clear casting procs are huge for a free regrowth
Awesome video long time druid player since vanilla just respecced hotw at 39 after levelling resto for a change with nature's swiftness and nature's grasp on a PvP realm...made for some safe solo levelling especially in STV 😎. THANKS again though keep up the great job for the Druid community
In dungeon leveling, why dont wait the 50% hp tank and pop up a high rank healing touch, like rank 8 or 9 for my perception high ranks have more mana eficience, and gonna more time stopped recovering mana?
Its risky and kinda hard to time. In the higher lvl dungeons if i started a healing touch and the tank was already half hp, theres a chance he could get crit and die before my heal gets to him. Since druids dont have a normal rez, i think its best not to take risks. Plus idk if you play tank or not but its stressful always being at 1/4 hp
@@zoogie980 yeah i play as tank role sametimes, my strategi to heal is, w8 like 75-70% hp, and start toutch, the cast and in 40-50%, if the damage is very high and the hp drop fast i use 1 cast regrowth plus reju, to stop fast by hots, and pop-up high rank on healing touch, no trumbles atm, i m 56 now
@@ROxTvoficial Like others have said, letting tanks get too low is incredibly risky due to the slowness of your high rank HT. Only takes one stray crit or spike in damage to ruin your perfect timing. You also run the risk of overhealing quite frequently too if the health doesn't drop as fast as you estimated. I used to do the same thing as you with waiting for the heals, but then I got more into downranking and it's honestly just way less stressful and much easier to judge. It's not necessarily any more mana efficient while levelling, because your gear probably won't take advantage of the downranking as much as higher end +healing will, but in general your tank will be happier to see their health above 50% (at least when I tank on my warrior, I don't like seeing my health super low) and it'll be way easier to keep your entire group topped off with a few lower rank HTs. It tends to be way more efficient to just throw a low rank, fast casting HT onto a DPS that's taking damage than it is to anything else, especially seeing as squishies like cloth wearers drop health so fast when they get aggro that waiting for a 3+sec cast is often way too slow, better to see them take damage, slap a quick rank 3 HT on them and keep an eye on their hp just in case.
Hey Ebbn just now getting back into druid and wanted to try resto on horde this time. What proffs. do you recommend as a resto druid? Thanks in advance and great videos as always.
Maybe stupid question: When you say have an Int/spirit set for leveling and healing the occasional dungeon is that gear supposed to be leather too or can it be cloth? (As a healer I'm ideally not going to get hit too much and I've heard holy palis sometimes where cloth). Really enjoying your videos as a first time druid. Just got travel form last night. Super excited to move further into the character. Want to help my friends and lfg with them as a healer would be great.
If, while levelling, you only plan to run dungeons and little else, going for cloth is totally fine, there's some really good cloth gear out there for healers and some cloth is BiS at 60. However, just keep in mind that if you're going to be questing too (especially if solo), you'll be finding it a fair bit harder if you've gone for mostly cloth because you'll have so much less armour. Honestly, I'm almost 60 now, have been pure resto since lvl 10, and mostly run dungeons, but I still had all leather gear and found that it was really easy to come by good int/spi leather items. There's quite a few good dungeon quest rewards for leather int gear, and there's usually plenty of affordable "of the owl" leather gear on the AH on my realm too.
I dont feel you went into enough detail on moonglow on that vid. I actually respecced from feral to deep moonglow into deep feral (as me and my mate figured it would be better if i was a tank) as ive levelled up. But im not feeling heart at end game as i want to progress pve and pvp. I would love a video that broke down comparison between each spec and viability across the board between pvp and pve at end game. If you could do a comparison video between different specs in pvp AND pve environments combined, e.g. moonglow is good in this pvp or pve envt, or heart is good in this envt etc that would be golden. If youve done this in previous videos and im being an idiot then cool, but i feel moonglow could of done with more attention in this particular video!! Big ups and love :)
Agent_Optimize He did a video a couple weeks ago going over hotw vs moonglow in phase 1. Idk what it was called but i remember there was WSG gameplay in the background
Since druids only get to raid because innervate and battleress, and healing touch only gets sniped from them, i feel that rejuves and regrowths are more beneficial to the raid as a whole, overhealing or not. Sure, the druid will be dead last (read, on top overhealing)on healing meters, but the geoup will still more benefit from him more than if he was "competeing" with other healers rather than working "with" them. Just my 2 cents. Sure i played the same way you do now back in vanilla with downranking and predicted heals. But thinking about it now took me deeper.

Hi Ebn. When would be a good time to transition into getting Healing Gear? Should I just continue to level as Feral until 60 and worry about it then or just start rolling for healing gear at around 40+ ?
Hey Ebbnflow what is stat priority for gearing and leveling a HoTW/NS build???? I been stacking agi stam and some str, however in pvp im oom all the time, go figure. How do you run stat priority?
I would say that as HotW/NS it's similar to tanking or DPS for gearing. Hit a certain +healing threshold and then focus on int. You also say that HT3 is the most mana efficient when it isn't

ht 4 gives only 86% healingpower, because casttime 3 sec
ht 3 gain only 55%
ht 2 only 31%
ht 5 -11 gain 100 %
ht5 cost 270 mana for 651 heal 2.41 hpm
ht11 cost 800 mana for 2472 heal 3.09 hpm
how many +heal is needed before ht5 is more mana effectiv vs ht11?

520800 + 800x > 667440 + 270x

so ht5 will never be more effective that ht4

(229 + 0.55 x) / 110 > (418 + 0.86 x)/185
x > 450
