Luxury brands using classical music to look classy is the equivalent to middle aged dads acting gangsta to try and be hip.
I like your metaphor😂
I swear I have seen you in almost all the videos I watch, phly, Hell’s Kitchen, some gmm compilations, who on earth are you?
There are far more "cool moms" out there letting kids get pregnant at their house and supplying drugs and alcohol. They're usually single, a little overweight and desperate for positive attention.
Why is this before the video uploaded?!?
I see that you're here

My eyes hurt from looking at the shirt... Its like a game of 'spot-the-mistakes' for musicians
Xin Xin I was actually wondering what the designer was smokin’
More like, the longer you look at this image the worse it gets.
Actually. And then noticing there’s a pedal marking before the piece even starts.
chocolatte
Not dumb, just currently ignorant :-)
A little learning’ll fix that right up!
@hawkturkey if poor knock offs fixed all the errors in that shirt then everyone would prefer the knock offs
Things wrong with Louis Vuitton sweater:
1. Key signature
- Wrong order
- Missing accidentals
2. Time Signature
- Grouping of notes indicates the piece is played in 3/2 and not 12/8
3. Tempo Marking
- A crochet is used to indicate the tempo instead of a quaver
- Imagine the world's fastest clapper and mutliply that speed by 4, that's how fast the crotchets are played in this piece
- The semiquavers are played 4 times faster than that
4. Ledger Lines
- D semibreve note on the back of the shirt is missing a ledger line
5. Grouping of notes
- Notes between bar lines should not be grouped together
6. Positioning and Alignment
- The quaver rest should be positioned in the middle of the stave, not on the first line
- The alignment of notes and rests in Bar 1
7. Articulation
- The pedal marking in Bar 1 is literally telling you to depress and release the pedal immediately before you even start playing, serving no purpose whatsoever.
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but 'deuxieme etage' means 'second floor' in French, and as far as I'm concerned, that tells you nothing about how you're supposed to play.
For a luxury brand, they made quite a shit job at promoting music theory.
What a detailed explaination
Also the pedal marking is above the bass staff.
Everything gone wrong

That’s the RZA known as one of the members of the wu tang clan. He’s largely self taught. His focus is hip hop beats. Not classical piano. I’m sure he doesn’t focus on perfect form. He’s made millions of dollars doing things his way.
Don’t even get me started on the Volvo commercial that uses the queen of the night aria as a metaphor for a car, as if the aria isn’t about threatening your daughter and telling her to murder someone

This music is so happy but. Who cares what they are saying
As a German person, this is always funny to see.
In my primary school there was this mural on a small corridor with a line of music painted on but none of the bars added up properly so one lesson in the corridor my singing teacher was like "nah we gotta change this" so she took out a Sharpie and started adding notes to make the bars right
B i g b r a i n
Edit: As a musician, I describe that as a blessing. As an artist as well, that would be a crime 😭
There’s this motivational poster in my geometry teacher's classroom that says:
“In order to lead a symphony, one must occasionally turn his back to the crowd.”
I give up.
EDIT: Holy hell this blew up. Okay so for anyone wondering, there are two other posters in the back of the classroom next to the symphony one, and yes, they are just as stupid as that one. One reads "To someone who only works with hammers, every problem is a nail," and I forget what the other one was, though it had to do with keys to doors or something. I'm pretty sure that they're there for decoration only because that teacher is rather sarcastic and not the kind of person that genuinely believes these posters, but after reading the comments, I do understand the underlying message it was trying to convey. But from a musician's perspective, it is really stupid.
To lead a symphony, you must ALWAYS have your back turned to the crowd...
*occasionally* LMFAO
Ling Ling doesn´t need to be on the concert to lead the symphony
I think its saying that you're not always conducting your "symphony", but when you do sometimes it alienates you from other people hence "turning your back to the crowd". I dont think the meaning was that far fetched.
@@chunchunmachu Yes, if one knows nothing about conducting orchestras then that is the meaning that will most likely be picked up on. But since we are musicians...Oh the pain from the ensuing face palm! The originator of that quote may have been better off with a different metaphor. The placement of the word "occasionally" changes the meaning of the sentence by making the statement inaccurate and should have been placed elsewhere to give the desired sentiment.

Thank you! I don't want to slam Brett or Eddy, but it's kind of ironic when they mock non-musical experts for getting basics wrong, and in the process get their mocking details wrong because they are non-fabric experts.
Hoisted on their own petard!
On the Louis Vuitton shirt: 'Deuxième étage' meaning 'Second floor' is that some kind of novel music notation I'm not yet aware of? Am I suppose to go upstairs while I play this ON the piano?
Patricia Plouffe yes, it’s a very hard trick, I call it “the ghosting”
It can also mean “second stage”, idk if that means anything
@@zach.sanford.baritone that still wouldn't mean anything in the context given as that's where the tempo of the piece goes lol.
Zachary Sanford Stage does not translate to étage in French.
@Laetitia Shi it can, there can be multiple meanings for one word, especially in romantic languages. Look it up. And besides, even though I’m not fluent in French, I have taken a semester of it, and I know enough to know what I’m talking about for this particular situation. However, @AmberO you’re correct in saying that it still doesn’t really make sense in this context.
In the last one, the guy at the piano, he is LITERALLY bidding on a *Moog* *Voyager* *XL* , while playing on a Steinway - which is waaaay more expensive, and more worth it for classical pianist who can actually play the piano. AmAzInGgGGg!!!
Well he was able to make a Steinway sounds like a digital piano ....
HAHAHA TRUE
But it's the RZA from Wu-Tang Clan

It looks an awfully lot like some Moog, so he would be bidding on an analog synth.
Still doesn't make much sense to me.
Designer: Nobody's gonna know. Nobody's gonna know.
Louis Vuitton: They're gonna know.
Designer: How will they know?
4:57 The tempo is described as "Vivace", whereas the first line says "[quarter note]=2054" which I think means 2054 beats per minute. That's REALLY FAST for Vivace. ;-)
lol at that point just go 5000 grave
I think thats fast for anything
@@sneas. Yeah, honestly it would be too fast even for something like "Prestissimo furioso e agitato con fuoco" (which probably doesn't even exist lol) and a continuous accelerando through the whole piece XD
Amateur pianist here, what's Vivace?
@@divyap4357 It's just a tempo marking. It literally translates to "lively" (so it's pretty fast). Now I don't know exactly how many BPM it is, I've seen different "versions" around; some saying it's between 132 and 140 BPM, others saying it's 156-176 BPM... Yet I've seen pieces at 175 BPM being marked as Allegro Furioso, or other tempos (it also depends on the note that is being used to mark the tempo.. so a crotchet = 140 will be different from a quaver = 140). So I don't think that there's always necessarily a clear cut correspondence between a tempo marking and the BPM (at the end of the day, originally, back in the day, composers only used the words to indicate the tempo, without the respective metronome BPM... Also cuz I don't think metronomes were a thing back in the 1600s and 1700s (or if they were, they weren't used, but I can't remember when they were invented right now, so Idk)
Apple: have you played a piano one point in your life?

“HIRED!”
What if the model was Ling Ling and won all existing competitions before ten
That's the riza from wu-tang
I played it until I was 10 and I'd still do better, even if I forgot most of the things how im supposed to read the sheets, sit and hold my hands stuck with me
I'm pretty certain that I could pretend to play the piano much better than that. I think I played the piano for six months as an eight year old.
The T-Shirt one: It actually takes effort to get this design wrong, cause any music software you would use to simply screenshot the notation would get it right automatically. I mean: why is the pedal being pressed down and lifted up in complete silence? Why does the right hand have more flats than the left hand? What key is this piece even in? How do you even set this up in something like sibelius or musescore?
You know it was probably intentional right?
this is intentional and they used design software not music software...
I gave you a like to pretend that I understood what you just said
The answer is right in feont of you. If those music writing softwares won't let them do that & yet they did it anyway, then what does that mean?
Lol someone really thought “we’ll just do what looks the best regardless of comprehensiveness”
“That’s like painting something black and saying it’s art” a picture of the color blue sold for millions
Black Square anyone? Malevich? And Eddy didnt say "art" hee said «and saying its colorful».
art doesnt have to be pretty, it has to convey a message or invoke a feeling. if u can do it with a blue background, thats a win.
TiMonsor yeah I know. But it’s most likely a result of “charitable contributions” which really rich people use to evade income tax. For example, say Im super rich. And owe 10 million dollars in income tax. So I hire someone to make a really simple “abstract art”, and send it to my friend who values paintings. He values the painting at 10 million dollars, and I donate it to a museum. That’s a “charitable contribution” so I get 10 million dollar write off on income tax and pay no income tax.
Yeah but that's money laundering
@@Mezaph that’s the point. “Modern art” that looks like you can make it in 5 seconds is because of tax write offs. Rich people use their money to spend less money.
See, calling it art is one thing. You can enjoy a solid painting of blue. The issue comes in when it can be easily recreated by just BUYING that shade of blue and doing it yourself, and you can have the exact painting you wanted to buy for millions. Art is subjective. Artistic VALUE is subjective. But to put that much MONETARY value on something you can easily do yourself is just.. so weird.

@@lisad8524 Yeah, but you can do knitting less pixelated, they could have used more than a thread line
@@oliviapereira364 I have no idea what's possible with machine knitting. I only do hand knitting myself. Also, I agree the designers could at least use proper notation🤷
Me: +finds fabric at hobby lobby with sheet music all over it+
WOW I can make a blouse to wear to my next concert
+looks at the notes, time signature, measures, etc.+

You can literally hear the heavy machinery in the heads of a violinists who see the bass clef.
I'm not even a musician but I'm able to recognize specific pieces just because I watch TwoSet 😂😂😂
I love when they professionally roast something.
Your reactions are always so priceless guys, you are awesome. 🖤
Since rickrolling seems to be coming back, at least I see it everywhere, I wonder if anyone ever tried putting the notes to it on a t-shirt or something. Cuz that would be hilarious.
literally just screamed "timing is everything" along with twoset.
Same, lol
6:23 the position of the pedal marking. Makes me uncomfortable
So Handsome easy, just pedal only the right hand by reaching to a separate piano with your left
@@pegasusboots3594 best thing i've seen tdy
It's completely pointless too because there is a release just after it (*).
Me too....guess they missed it cos violinists 😊
@@pegasusboots3594 I have seen actual sheet music where they put the pedal mark between the two staves instead of below. I don't like it that way, but it isn't wrong per se. The wrong thing, of course, is the suggestion that you should press the pedal and then immediately release it without playing a single note.
7:00 for the Piano part, in the Treble cleff, the Pedal starts and ends before the notes even appear. wow.

Just rewatching old videos whilst Brett on sick leave and Twoset takes a break. Checking that I’ve accented the like button..
Is no one gonna talk about the fact that the piano is still playing while the pianist’s checking his watch with both hands😂😂
He's playing the melody with his left hand, which is probably why the tempo suddenly goes all funky
I’m a little disappointed they didn’t talk about the quarter note = 2054 tempo lol
Eddy: classical music! (Plays Spring by Vivaldi)
Me:
That’s baroque...
Yeah, but the baroque year was close to the _year of classical music_
Seeing that guy curl his finger so much gave me ptsd to when I was a child and the teacher kept scolding to have good posture and relax but not too relax my fingers while playing the piano
