Hii, Roxy your way of making wildlife film have inspired me alot. Soon in future I'm completing my graduation in Zoology Honours and my aim is to become a great Zoologist
Lovely work, and on a species about which so little seems to be known, especially among "average people"! These Jackals seem to have a similar ecological niche to Coyotes, although they seem smaller (indeed, little information, in this film, about their size, sexual dimorphism, reproductive behaviour) than the Coyotes... I've often thought that even a small number of Coyotes brought into Europe would probably spread across Europe in just a few generations... In Canada, they live, apparently equally-well, in the prairies, or right in Vancouver!(Similarities to the adaptability of Canada Geese, but without wings 😆! )
I remember being in Montenegro last year, in the Lustica peninsula (close to the Kotor Bay), and every night, we could hear the golden jackals howling for 30 minutes. It was a bit frightening, but also so fascinating...
A fascinating video, I'm currently in Sri Lanka and have managed to get some nice photos of Golden Jackals while searching for Leopards! Whilst the Jackals here do look very similar to those in your video, I'm not sure if they are the same species?
Where is that hide in Romania? It’s look Danube Delta(Dobrogea), nice videos and photos from there, also i have golden jackals here in Timis County but is hard to see them, but i took some photos

Sounds awesome! They pose no threat to humans, so definitely don’t need to be frightened :)
In the Eastern Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria you can observe during the winter how golden jackals are competing with griffon vultures for food.
Wow that must be awesome, I’d love to see that!
Be interesting to know their relationship with the other predators like Wolf,Lynx and Fox. Whether they avoid them or are competition.

Ah awesome! I believe they are the same species there, but a different sub-species :)

Yes, was in the Delta :)
