My fastest speed run with an RC was with a bandit vxl with rustler links and a hell of a gear setup on 3cell 86mph on vxl system. Love the bandit it's a fun versatile rig
Awesome, what was your gear setup and what rear tires did you use? I was thinking I could hit 80 with a 35t pinion. I just hit 71.5 mph with a 31t.

My bandit with a 6s mamba setup is stupid fast . Keep blowing tires. May need better one's and a wheelie bar and add weights in the front. Planning on doing some speed runs and post some videos. great vid!

Strc makes 14mm alum hexes that will bolt right up. They're cheap and come in 2 packs.

The revo is by far my favorite rc. Things a MONSTER after only $20 of hop ups mine hasn’t broken in over a year

I got mine past 80 increased gear size added wheely bar, went full lipo, and brushless, added tungsten weights to front end large rears had to use new speed controller hooked it up and programmed it with laptop. At 70% power hit 80+ found out I needed larger rear shocks with stronger springs, added tons of wedge. Now front end stays down enough to steer, goes out of range in seconds, had to add better radio and receiver. Tires fly off used high performance tire super glue. Heavier weight oil in shocks, lowered front end and now it screams.
I love that they brought back my childhood RC cars the hornet the grasshopper just to name a few

Balancing those front tires with sticky tack will work wonders...
If you take the rear spoiler off, it doesn’t wheelie nearly as much (for new bandit owners)
I think he should add a front spoiler, instead.

You can get a set of Pro-Line Racing Hoosier Drag Slick SC S3 Drag Racing Tires, and a set of 3.0 beadlocks and they will fit fine on the back of the bandit. there is an extention you can buy on ebay for the bandit to stretch it about 3'' Lipolockllc Aluminum Wheelbase Extension Kit for Traxxas Rustler Bandit. I also screwed in the spring on the sliper clutch, it makes it nearly direct drive. Also, pack the gearbox with silicone ear plugs, but you might want to put some weight in the front. With those upgrades, it's gonna turn into a rocket. Just a thought.

I have the bandit vxl and did the speed gearing and I couldn’t keep it on the ground lol so I went back to the stock gearing with a Traxxas 3s battery and it is still fast and I’m trying to find 2.2 belted tires which I haven’t found yet

Do X0-1 tires in the back they are the same as those drag wheels just different rims and make sure you use a good 17mm conversion it had to be a spline version to fit the X01 wheels

It hurts me to see that Traxxas store!! I've bought 3 cars myself, between my brother and we have all but tx4 and new on-road cars. Maxx, XMAXX, He has 8 or 10 armas now. I go to my local Traxxas dealer. I have all the part #s in hand. I've spent way over $1000 on just my rustler 4x4. I go in and ask for parts and they don't want to turn around and look. They never have anything!!! Even when Im standing on the side of the counter pointing. Wish they would just let me handle the orders and see what they actually have.
