It is but they're still going to need to make a 38-40mm production version for me to bite. I've wanted a Fifty Fathoms for so long but really prefer smaller sizes the older I get, even in sport watches. So long as everyone has an option, I'm all for different size offerings of the same model.
That is just stunning. Why would anyone with a few dollars want any other diver. This thing rips the Subby a new A hole. I've had em both. No comparison. Go for the clasp over the buckle though.
Good Q. For me personally, the bezel, thickness, and giant Blancpain logo are a deal killer. I do love the nice finishing and secondary pricing but that’s what has stopped me from moving fwd.
As a FF fan and 5015 owner, I thought I’d love this watch. The larger model and its “pie pan” shape gives it so much depth. The 42mm looses that depth and its significant. Great watch, but the 5015 is my preference.
The 5010 is missing the concentric circle on the dial and the gorgeous deep gloss finish. The sunburst dial without the concentric circle really disappoints.
I've tried on the 5010 and 5015 side by side. With a 19,5 cm wrist, the 5015 fitted me much better. The 5010 was too small in comparison. Does anyone know if Blancpain will discontinue the 5015? The sales lady where I tried the watches couldn't answer me that, and I haven't found out elsewhere either.
They probably won’t discontinue the 5015, the 45mm was the back bone after all, I think they would rather just leave both options on the table to fit the demand.
I can speak first hand about BP's sail cloth straps being the best money can buy. Mine lives in salt water for 2 years now and its still going strong. You can get it on a bracelet if you want as well but this watch just looks so good on sail cloth or the new Tropic rubber
Honestly I don’t like the titanium case for both 5015 and this 5010. The titanium looks rough and don’t scream luxury compare to the stainless steel one. Too bad the only stainless steel version in 42mm is the 70 years anniversary Act 1 limited edition
I urge you to experience the titanium versions for yourself. The way the titanium is finished gives it a silk-like appearance in the way it reflects light.
@@user-wi9nn6dz8wI went to Blancpain boutique couple months ago to try it on. You do have a point but I like how my 5015 stainless steel reflects the light better. Both have pro and con, I just prefer the stainless steel one
Yet it’s far better with scratches, it’s hypoallergenic, it’s lighter, it’s stronger, it’s truly stainless (non of the steel really is). Titanium is a wonder metal. Steel is not.
That stupid Side logo is so overkill- also the watch should be no bigger than 12mm thick, IDK What these guys don't get about a LUXURY DIVE WATCH, the SUPPOSED FIRST
Getting this but on a bracelet. Although I love my mil-spec, at times it feels a bit too petite. And then this dial and bezel - wow!
I love my Grande Date! Blancpain makes the best Divers in the word, in my opinion.
Love the colour
Its just soo beautiful.

One day…
The king of divers 👌🏻
Amazing! My next watch. I think i prefer the black dial though.
Can you image a GMT with that Bezel? Wow a killer 😊😊😊
The downsizing trend is good
Noo
Variety is great
💯

That will be my next watch!
The best diver in the market… period
Awesome watch! Love it!
hate the thickness, logo engraved on the case, open caseback, and the date function. love everything else
I’m buying this today
Wow you still got the watch only problem with it it's not as anti-magnetic as the Omega 's. Outstanding movements
@ it’s got a silicon hair spring so it should be antimagnetic enough

I couldn’t agree more! These are amazing.

I agree I just bought one
BLANCPAIN, MAKE A NON-LIMITED 40MM FF AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
Concur
1000000% percent this! I will sell any / all watches in my collection to pay for it if they were to offer a 38 to 40mm production FF.
I wish they would offer the FF without the date complication
FFS are you never happy
Tim knows... A 5015 but much more wearable

Are they still making a larger version?
@@anandmorris yes
@@TM-ic1eb excellent, only need to save another 15k! But i do love them. Definitely grail territory.
Same...I didn't see much reason to swap
@@TRH982 also, i much prefer 316L st steel. Titanium, unless grade 5, is overrated.

What do you mean the deep gloss finish?
@@hectorcastrejon 5015 black dial has a glossier dial color/finish in my opinion
One thing this doesn’t have that the 45mm does is the concentric circle ring on the dial. Otherwise I’d probably downsize
It's very sad they decided to do that. No good reason, people just wanted a downsized version. Don't omit details.
@@davec3651agreed … they should have keep the circle ring on the dial 😢
For the life of me, I cannot figure out why you feature watches on your YT channel that are NOT listed on the 1916 website. Why is that?
because someone with real MONEY UNLIKE WHINERS LIKE YOU bought it.
Good size compared to the 45mm version ❤

Sold already???
Always preferred Blancpain divers but I do wish they all came on a bracelet. For the money it feels like you should get more than a strap.
The watch is also available from Blancpain on a titanium bracelet.
No.. it's a diver

This watch is just poorly proportioned and over-designed. Used to be my grail diver. Now I want an SLA033 or SLA039 lol
