    Actually, after already watching at least 6 beginner tutorials on Singer HD machine, I can honestly say that your tutorial was the best I've watch. I have never touched a sewing machine in my life and I just purchased the 4432. Apparently the main difference between the Heavy Duty machines is just the amount of stitches you get (according to Singer) and they informed me that watching any of the Heavy Duty YT videos would pretty apply to me. Thanks, sew much LOL, for sharing PiNk!

    WOW I have to say this is the best video I've seen for teaching the basics of the Singer Heavy Duty set up. Seriously you got them camera angles right, clearly explained everything and I could follow along with you instead of some crazy fast run through with zero way to follow. THANK YOU! I'm pumped to sew now.

    Love this video. Your so down to earth and real. I’ve been sewing for many years as I’m a 74 year old grandma. I just got my 4452 singer and was a little nervous as it didn’t come with a manual. You walked me through it so well. I’ll be on the lookout for more of you videos.

    Literally the best tutorial for this machine. I learned how to sew in school, on industrial Juki sewing machines. Since they are an industrial machine, it's really simple; only had one stitch with variety of manual adjustments for variations. But I needed something at home, so I can continue school work outside of classes and at bewitching hours. The singer heavy duty caught me eye, cause of the label "heavy duty"; it would cover a wide range of fabric weight.
    I thought it would be pretty self-explanatory like the industrial machines... BUT IT HAD A LOT MORE TO IT (I hate complications...) Which led to me putting off on using it, cause it's too intimating....
    Recently school is about to start again, I was thinking of buying another machine (the newer models for kiddies), but I needed to give the heavy duty another shot (since I did spend money on it).... AND I'M GLAD I FOUND YOUR VIDEO!!!

  • @austinscorpio23
    @austinscorpio23 Год назад +14

    Great tutorial - two quick things : your machine has an auto threader for the needle. It’s a little white paddle thing you can pull down and will make threading a little easier. Also, there’s one more spot that the thread should be routed through directly above the needle. It’s a small spot but it’s important to keep the thread from tangling.

    • @lisakelly5210
      @lisakelly5210 11 месяцев назад

      Yes their is two hooks to thread through before threading into the needle ,above the needle is a large hook and the second hook is much smaller one both are important to thread

    A most enjoyable introduction to the very popular model #4452 with an easy, straightforward and practical approach. Combining energies as narrator and your beau as cameraman & motor controller really was very well synchronized. You turned this lesson into something special when you two integrated the disciplines together so well. Very much enjoyed your efforts and am looking forward to even more in-depth subjects as well. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this, and huge thanks to your boyfriend for the great camera work too - so very helpful!! On a side note, quick tip - when changing the presser foot, instead of trying to push the new foot up into the hook thingie, just set the new foot down with the bar aligned, and gently lower the presser foot mechanism until it snaps into place. This also saves you from accidentally poking a finger with the needle. :o)

    There's a magnetized ring in the hook basket that can be seen when the bobbin case is removed. So, it's important to use plastic bobbins (like came with the machine) because a metal bobbin will interfere with how the magnet and the bobbin case function together. Singer class 15 plastic bobbins.

    Girl Girl girl girlllllll, all I can say is thank you! If I could see you I'll give you a big hug, so a big air virtual hug from me to u. For someone who has been intimidated by the sewing machine for years, this is by far the best tutorial I've come across. I even took a class, and to be honest she thought everything you did but I still didn't get. So I just gave up. Your presentation, your description the way you take your time to explain, man I tell u, youre good couldn't have gotten this lesson anywhere better than what you did. I hope you're teaching and getting paid, I'll take your sewing class in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

      Lol omg thank you so much!!! 🙏🏻 it's funny because I always thought I was bad at explaining things, I would hesitate to do so...therefore, it's really heart warming to hear such nice words! I'm just glad you enjoyed and learned at least something 🙌🏻🤗🙂
