I started messing around with finesse jigs a few years back and never stopped. They're just a confidence bait for me and I have one tied on 365 days a year. Great video as always keepem coming man.
The Picasso jigs are awesome. I was skeptical about the weedguard but those little wires work. They come through everything. The little spotty and the boss mini ball jig are all I carry for finesse jigs.
Love your fishing vids! Your tips helped me have a successful day today. Had bluebird after a front and you always say fish on the bottom in these conditions. I did and had a great day.
Very interesting video👍 Would you happen to know the actual weights of the 1/4 and 3/8 oz ? Most of the time the jigs I buy are much heavier than advertised on the box … Thanks in advance Cheers
In response to ur Core video I got my stuff in a few days. I bought the hover rig last season because it was a new technique and had a ton of fun. Didn't make sense to add more swimbait hooks and didn't understand the Ozark. I'm blown away how well the tush hooks run a swimbait from tiny to magdraft. It will be my go to open water swimbait hook this year. The Ozark is just a better mousetrap. I love the action and weight design. Tournament fishing you have to devote a rod to a Texas rig setup. I fish snaps when I can get away with it so to pull off a chatterbait or swim jig and clip on the Ozark allows for a better presentation and eliminates a rod which as a Co angler is huge. Excited about yalls take on a swim jig. Couple thoughts: Can u get a blade on a tush or just hitch hiker on there? Like to see a texposed version like the weighted swimbait hook u tuck in the top and it's weedless and a flashy swimmer like version. Weedless and shiny. Otherwise they're just open water tools for me but my go to open water hooks. The roll and all of its amazing Matt! Would the Ozark work at an ounce for punching mats? Maybe it's not the right presentation but makes sense to me. Great job, great company!
I wonder how the classic Mann's Stingray Grub would work as a jig trailer. Very streamlined profile without a lot of extra appendages. Kinda like the original beaver style bait.
It's so much more fun fishing northern lakes. I've said it before on your videos... Your throw on a finesse jig, or even a smaller crankbait, and you have no idea what you're liable to catch.....crappie, rock-bass, smallmouth, walleye, pike...you name it. Such a large variety (especially the further north you go). Down here in FL it's incredibly one-dimensional, with bass, and bluegill, with the occasional crappie, and in tanic, or down-right muddy water, that is on average 3ft deep. Can be a lot of fun, but it also tends to get a bit old. Another reason why a lot of people down here are opt to fish the salt-flats, rather than the known lakes (or have a boat that will suffice to do both). I truly miss the northern-midwest fishing I grew up on.
@@MattStefanFishing Yup...after 10yrs here in central FL, I'm about done. I may not move as far north as Ohio again....but, we may wind up in GA, or even AL before it's all over with. 👍
Man- I have so many different kinds of finesse jigs tbh it's hard to justify buying more. That said- Picasso has become one of those companies I just trust in general- because so far, everything I've gotten from them is not only really well made, but usually unique in some way. They've brought a lot of innovation to the market over the last 5 years in several different bait category's.
It's a very complex equation- you take the number of bites you're currently getting while fishing other finesse jigs, and multiply by 2. If you don't get that many bites- you should return the jig to Picasso immediately- it's defective. that said- I will remind you that 0 times 2 is still zero so- if you haven't been catching fish on finesse jigs already- it may not work out for you at all.

I know this is a fall video, but man it got me pumped to get out. This WI weather is wild this year. Feels like mid-April.
weather is nuts right now!
I’m so ready myself! Hopefully some water around me open up this weekend.

Great video and glad to see that you caught some nice fish on a cold day!!
Thanks 👍
Fun flash back to warmer times! Lol. Picasso look nice. Look forward to trying out the core tackle jig when it comes out!
Awesome!

I believe that is their actual weights without a trailer attached

Thanks for the support. The Ozark isn’t really meant for punching. I’d say stick with a heavy Texas rig for that
You had a good time 👍

Interesting
I really like tungsten jigs. Thanks for sharing.

Pit Boss on a Texas rig is one of my favorite baits for shallow pitching!!!
Good one

Thanks, will do!
Can I ask what’s the current there where your at Fast. ?? Slow. ?? In between???
slower in most areas
You're lucky to have a variety of waters to fish. We're kind of limited here in Nor. Cal.
bummer
Thanks Matt I do miss the fall.
good fishing!
Another good one. Thanks!
You bet!
Great video!!!! 🤠👍
Thanks!
Matt you had shoes on!😅
haha
Love me some finesse jig fishing
Right on
Walleye! Is Walleye the best fish to eat or is there something you think is better?
Personally I think Perch is as good. A wonderful flavor.
No, it’s walleye.
bassa is also a good fish to eat.. walleye is definitely good.. orange ruffy is good as well..
Perch
Crappie
Thanks for sharing your trip.

I’ll take a day like that anytime👍.
Me too
Thanks, will do!
@@MattStefanFishing Thank you very mutch... have a nice Start of the week.... see you….

Twice as many bites? I'd love to see the science behind this.

Lol… is this an old video? Late fall… freezing up in a few weeks?
I filmed it in the fall and finally edited it
Really enjoy your videos but this jig looks like its the best on the market for getting hung up every other cast...
The word cult also means "not very bright."
Ok
