I love this more than the studio recording. There is something about two artists totally letting it all out that is purely magical. I play bass, and use this as my warm up to get my old man fingers loosened up ;) Fantastically brilliant musicians the likes of which we will never see again...
It's personified by their informal approach... As it feels like they are Sitting In Your Living Room waiting for your Ice Tea! INCREDIBLE Profuction and Sound... Thank You for sharing!
you all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
If you are fan of the blues, this is just GOLD. The master and the student, playing off each other. You can tell they both love the jam. SRV, loving playing alongside Albert King. We miss them both. Blues gotta live on.
A W E S T R U C K. What a phenomenal jam between two legends in their own time. Simply beautiful. Memorable time from two masters. // Thank you Trippy!
"Don't lie to me" (Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan,6 Dec. 1983,studios CHCH-TV,Hamilton,Ontario,Canada) There's two kind of people I just can't stand Evil hearted woman And a lyin' man Don't you lie to me Now don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad Evil as a man can be When you told me That you loved me long time ago The fellow that you got You don't want him no more Don't you lie to me Now don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad I get evil as a man can be You told me That you loved me long time ago The fellow that you have You don't want him no more Don't you lie to me Now don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad I get evil as a man can be Don't you lie to me Don't you lie to me No, don't lie to me Now don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad I get evil as a man can be
One of my favorites...I can listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn all day & night. I was fortunate enough to have seen him before he passed, but his legacy lives on forever. Albert ain't too bad either lol
Same way people voted for Marxists. Not too bright. This should be lunch box Joe's theme song, habitual liar. Thinking of thst air head takes away from these 2 legends, I have the full recording.. Now Stevie your qualified to pick up on this, your good, no your pretty good, and your going to be better. Classic, the good Lord takes the best for Heaven I suppose, thsts right I said it!!! God Bless them both! Oddly I dont detect
One of my favorite all-time SRV jams, period. When Stevie starts soloing at the bottom of the neck, gives me the chills. Of course the camera had to switch angles to the keyboardist whilst he was soloing. Anyway, these two were magical together.
That whole 3:40 - 4:20 segment - Albert just stops playing and is enjoying Stevie's playing. Can you imagine how it must feel to be playing with your idol, and THEN, he just stops and appreciates what you're doing for half a minute? It is a crazy Father/Son or passing the torch moment that most people will never know
Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin, Cobain, Winehouse, Cline, Holly and, sadly, more. Of all the musicians taken from us too early, the one I'd most like to have back is Stevie Ray Vaughan. Such an incredible talent!
If anyone asks, what's the difference between single coil and humbucker pups, show 'em this video. Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan were individually incredible. Together, they were astonishing.
Although they'r both playing the same string bending phrases , they don't sound boring. Stevie bending for all his worth, Albert makes it look effortless. Great stuff ! 😉👍🎸
Man, I hear that word awesome so much it is coming across very trite. I never heard the dam word used so much in the last 10 years. I say Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughn are hip and cool and have a dynamic sound.
Fantastic video of two great masters. Thanks TRIPPYHIPSTER, but hey, give us the PROVENANCE -- Where and When and name the source. It is the right thing to do, and it would make your upload much more interesting. :-)
Man this just solved any problem I had. If my woman ever lies to me (again) I'm going to put Albert and Stevie Ray on her. Hell-yeah. These two make it look and feel so easy. Man love this version and these two artist. I want to and will watch this many more times.
Still here in 2024. Who's with me!
80'S coke and srv/ albert king would have been that business
🙋♂️
Im with ya
a gibson and a fender had a conversation and everybody won.
2 of the greatest if you want blues😂😂❤❤❤
SRV was as real as it gets. No cheap tricks. His guitar was screaming.....

INCREDIBLE Profuction and Sound...
Thank You for sharing!
Exactly!!!
I could listen to these two go back and forth for hours like this and not get tired.
Amen!
you all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Lennox Kayson instablaster :)
I imagine they would get tired at some point
The old master on the V and the younger master on the Strat. Two legends. American music at its best.
Masterclass in session & what kind of morons would dislike this ? When the licks start flying the smiles are as good as it gets.

It doesn't get any better than this. This is the Blues!!!
"Don't lie to me" (Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan,6 Dec. 1983,studios CHCH-TV,Hamilton,Ontario,Canada)
There's two kind of people
I just can't stand
Evil hearted woman
And a lyin' man
Don't you lie to me
Now don't you lie to me
Because it makes me mad
Evil as a man can be
When you told me
That you loved me long time ago
The fellow that you got
You don't want him no more
Don't you lie to me
Now don't you lie to me
Because it makes me mad
I get evil as a man can be
You told me
That you loved me long time ago
The fellow that you have
You don't want him no more
Don't you lie to me
Now don't you lie to me
Because it makes me mad
I get evil as a man can be
Don't you lie to me
Don't you lie to me
No, don't lie to me
Now don't you lie to me
Because it makes me mad
I get evil as a man can be
AL & SRV...Magical Music. Sadly, the likes of which we may never experience again. The "popular" crap today is shameful.
One of my favorites...I can listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn all day & night. I was fortunate enough to have seen him before he passed, but his legacy lives on forever. Albert ain't too bad either lol
So good it can bring you tears........ This is the best
Just the most greatest performance ive ever seen. Albert + Stevie, will never be forgotten
SRV is the One ...the Bluesman..a Giant
Fuck me how real is this need a parachute to get back to earth...

Early 80s no systemic racism, that odd.
I think now they're both in heaven, God will ask them to sing this song for Him forever and ever !!! This is THE music !
Yes
I love SRV. Have for decades. Albert is the King. His vocals are blues made perfect.
Simply AWESOME. Just AWESOME. Wow!!!
the lyrics are just as good as the guitar playing.
Miss Stevie Ray Vaughan - what a f..ing shame.
One of my favorite all-time SRV jams, period. When Stevie starts soloing at the bottom of the neck, gives me the chills. Of course the camera had to switch angles to the keyboardist whilst he was soloing. Anyway, these two were magical together.
Two of the Greats. RIP.
Stevie backing up Albert - truly blues heaven!
That whole 3:40 - 4:20 segment - Albert just stops playing and is enjoying Stevie's playing. And at 8:32, Stevie digging Albert's high note work. Great segment.
To literally see Stevie as someone's protégé changes your view entirely. It reminds you that even the greats started somewhere.
Big heart be there 😊😅😮🎉
Most beautiful music I ever hear 😢
this is two of the best in the world
amazing. love how stevie shows the king respect. he doesnt try to out do him with fancy licks. blues isnt about that. God bless

Love that song amen
Wow...Respect for Albert King flows through SRV's playing.Great musicians. RIP.
Both chuck berry and Rolling Stones played this song too. One of my favorites
Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin, Cobain, Winehouse, Cline, Holly and, sadly, more. Of all the musicians taken from us too early, the one I'd most like to have back is Stevie Ray Vaughan. Such an incredible talent!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Stevie

If anyone asks, what's the difference between single coil and humbucker pups, show 'em this video. Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan were individually incredible. Together, they were astonishing.
1:53 Stevie "goes over" his four bars and the look and King's face......alright but I'm gonna do the exact thing back at you.
Amazing track - Don't Lie To Me...
Woooooo! Hooooooo! Now this is tight...pure pleasure for the ears...thank you for posting!
Top one percent all-genre studio recording session ever!
R.I.P.
Although they'r both playing the same string bending phrases , they don't sound boring. Stevie bending for all his worth, Albert makes it look effortless. Great stuff ! 😉👍🎸
Albert played better than usual here, he knew he was up to one of the best guitar slingers around at that time.
