Yeah if the factory valve limitations don’t annoy you, then no need for this mod! Some will love it, others not really. But currently it’s the best option for an application like this. Too bad ford didn’t give us this control from the factory.

Really love the Shelby gt350. I own a 12 Boss 302. These cars are gonna be collectable down the road when all cars are electric. You need to get the Gt350 side callouts like they had back in the 60s.

It’s the identical part for the Focus RS. I don’t think they market it for a GT350.

So just tap the red start up button. This will turn on the electronics before you start your car. Then flip up the valve switch and you can start it when cold starting.

I installed this mod on my car a few months ago, I love the Switch for cold starts, I have a video on my channel of a cold start exhaust open, Shelby sounds soo soo good with exhaust open with cold starts.

you didn't show if the exhaust sounds different in 6th gear. I have the same issue and want to know if getting this is worth it
Yeah, so the valves do stay open in 6th gear. However since the RPMs are typically very low in 6th there isn’t a lot of sound anyways.

Did a muffler delete on my 19 GT350 and the cold starts sounded awesome. All you need.

Was your accessory power on when you were cycling the valves? I installed this kit on my car and the remote only open/closes the valves if the engine is running/accessory power on. If the car is off. It does nothing.
Yes the Accessory power needs to be on.
why does my exhaust valve still cycle and closes half way as soon as I step on the clutch to start the car?

Yeah that would be the best solution. 💯 I just don’t know if it’s possible. I haven’t heard of anyone being able to unlock the factory controls. 🇺🇸
Hi Jason, I just installed this thanks to your video!! Everything works ie. remote on/off 6th gear the valve stays open but when ever I turn my car car off it goes back to Quiet mode. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Hey man! Congrats on the install. Yeah mine does that also. You didn’t do anything wrong, I realized this after about a week of installing it lol.
Had the same issue, hated not having that control, went with full kooks which eliminates valves, Just have an inactive switch now. Other option would be corsa who has the valve option but id be right back where I started. This is a cool option.. I may just try corsa and this kit.
I can only imagine how crazy a full kooks setup sounds.

Do the valves automatically close when the car turns off (car turns on with valves closed) even though you have them set to open when you turn it off?? I just installed the remotes, and even though I turn off the car with valves open, they must close at turn off because when i turn it on, it turns on with valves closed.
Those little clips are so frustrating! Literally took me an hour to do the first one. Yeah you are absolutely right, for whatever reason, Ford choose to fully default the valves closed when the car is turned off. Thankfully you can still open them via accessory mode before starting. I didn't realize this when I initially filmed this video.
You know you could open the valves and pull a fuse and it will stay open forever just don’t loose the fuse

I’ve had the GrimSpeed defeat modules for years. Never ever ever ever ever ever did I ever say to myself- “I wish my car was in quiet mode right now.”….
Time will tell how often I hit that button. I sometimes start the car early mornings and have a moderate amount of concern for my neighbors. Moderate.
What about at race tracks that have a noise limit? The Grimmspeed would offer no help.
I put it in quiet mode with early morning or late evening cold starts. I have great neighbors that love the car but their enjoying a movie or sleeping or something, I don’t want any resentment toward me lol

Should have left it alone stock. these are already running at optimal performance anything added and it will start breaking down
6th is an overdrive gear. Have a look at the ratios. Basically I never use it until it's time to go eco and cruise on the highway for an hour straight. If you use 6th for anything else, you're guaranteed to lug the engine.
Yeah, I don’t think on track I have EVER gotten into 6th. That just means I need to go faster I guess. 🇺🇸
I agree. I only put it in 6th if I’m doing 65+
@@TheAllAmericanDriver No that's what I'm saying... you would reach top speed in 5th. Top speed of the GT350 is 173mph, and the top speed of 5th gear given the ratios is 180mph. So nobody on any race track would ever use 6th gear. 6th is literally only to save gas on the highway. 🙂

Something that would keep working on the original button on the panel would be nice. Adaptations with nylon clamps I don't think is good.
Yeah it would be nice if there was a factory option for full control of the valves.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver I think a good technician in automotive electronics can make it work through the original button. The box, on the other hand, is more a question of relocating it and insulating it from high temperatures and dirt. A little metal box... who knows.

Their website shows nothing for the 350/350R. They should update.
They sent me an email and should be updating the website soon. In the meantime it is the same system for the Focus RS that IS on the website.

Depends how annoyed you get with the factory valve limitations. The hardest part was those little clips, but it’s just time consuming for your fingers to figure it out blindly. *Thats NOT what she said*. I’m happy with it. Like I said, most of the time I’ll leave them wide open, but for the few times I need them closed, it’s nice to have.

Sorry! Honestly with the tall gearing you’d have to be going very fast for 6th gear to be loud. That’s something I didn’t realize.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver I just want to hear what it sounds like going slower than 93 miles an hour. My exhaust valves will only open in 6th gear if I'm flooring the gas pedal and going at least 93 miles an hour and then it sounds like the motor is gargling.

Because of the gearing it’s still quiet, but it keeps that growl. It doesn’t totally disappear anymore.
