We do a lot of chumming right there against the bank. We catch a lot of 10 + pounders. Biggest one i caught there was 22 pounds 34 inches. On chicken liver, but we chum it with dog food in a crawdad trap.
Thanks man! I usually use a 2 to 4 ounce weight depending on how strong the current is. And I try to keep my weight about 8 to 12 inches away from the hook.
