I don't know why but I love watching you guys catch catfish....also... do you guys ever think of doing a catch, clean, and cook video?... maybe also target some bullfrog and crawdads?... it probably sounds a little weird, but froglegs are pretty tasty, also the crawdads coming out of that river and surrounding waters are pretty good!.... they taste alot better than the ones you get at Albertsons. 🙂
Thanks man! I'm glad you enjoy watching the videos! Also I have thought about doing a catch and cook but just haven't put the plan together yet. Hopefully soon! And that doesn't sound weird at all! I love frog legs but believe it or not have never tried crawdads. But those are good ideas man and will definitely take those into consideration! 👍
Hey man, I’ve been trying lately along the Rio but I think I’ve been using the wrong weight to keep it in the zone. I see you use the flat non roll sinkers but what ounce do you use? Thanks in advance brother!
Lately I've been using 3 ounces. But sometimes that's not even enough. So I would recommend like 3 to 5 ounces just depending on where you're fishing. Hope that helps bud!👍
Around what area of the river do you fish, I can't seem to find the good deep waters. I only catch little guys. I want a meal out of a catfish instead of snack.
I usually fish the Rio Grande from Bernalillo down to Montano area. There are a lot of holes to hit, its just about finding them. Lots of walking involved.
@@nmangling heck yeah I appreciate it. Walking is good sometimes, gotta stay active. Also do you ever use chicken livers there? If so, is it effective?
If I can't get anything to use for cut bait I will use beef livers instead of chicken. The beef livers are a little tougher than chicken livers and stay on the hook better. But they are extremely effective 👍
Those critters sure do talk to you! Last one I caught at Isleta wanted to discuss my mama’s pedigree and I had to throw his young butt right back in so he could grow up and learn some manners! I hope his lip hurts!
I can never catch anything there. Your good.
Thanks man. But it just takes patience and having your bait in the right spot ✅
@@nmangling had another quick question about your editing skills. What editing software do you use? My nephew is trying to get videos up.
@@arls9430 the software I use is called imovie. It comes as a pre downloaded software on most MacBook. Hope that helps 👍
Very nice, that Big Male was all spawned out looked like someone took a grinder to him!! Great day on the Rio, keep it up!
Ya he got pretty beat up guarding his nest. Definitely a fighter. Left me some bloody knuckles to remember him by too lol
👍" if you dont throw it in that hole i will" famous last words lol. nice catch bro👍
Lol yup. That's usually the way it goes lol
@@nmangling way cool 6 lbs easy

@@nmangling awesome thanks man. I just found a spot in corralles that’s a little hike to get to but I’m hoping it’s worth it once I haul the gear out.
The spots you gotta hike to are usually the best and produce some nice fish. Good luck man!
