This is very much appreciated. I have an old knee injury, got injured during long jump back in high school. I’m amazed at my stability, all thanks to your guidance. Don’t stop talking, it’s not annoying it actually helps keep me focussed and assured that I’m doing it right. Thank you 💛✨
I’ve struggled with bad knees for years and my left one was hurting after my run yesterday, after doing this just once I can already feel the difference in my knees!I used to think it was my shoes 😅 Thank you for this video I’m so glad I found it! I especially like all the balance work since it showed me that my hips need strengthening as they tend to want to bow outward when balancing on one leg. This is great, will be watching and following along frequently!
I usually don't comment on yoga or exercise videos. But man, you are so nice. I was ill for three weeks and couldn't go for runs. In 4 weeks I am running my first marathon and I jumped back in after being ill and hurt my knee really badly. I really hope your videos can help me. Thanks anyways, really enjoyed it.
This channel is just amazing, a true gem! So glad I found this, it's such a challenge to find something specific for runners, which would be creative and tough at the same time! Thanks a million for the content ❤
This felt amazing thank you. I love the saying, smile at the challenge! I’m training for my first triathlon (iron man 70.3) and I am going to remind myself of that during tough times!
Amazing!! That’s so great to hear Jess 😊 so glad I could help you have a little reminder to smile when things get intense, thanks for following along with me and commenting 🙏 good luck with the Iron Man training 🙌🏻
I’m 57 and started running 5 years ago. I had lots of knee discomfort and pain and found your channel and this video. Wow! It’s been the best thing ever! Very little pain these days! Thank you - thank you!
Thanks for another great video! Ran my first 5k race this weekend and as soon as I finished I ran to your page for a post-run stretch. So, thank you again!
Thank you for this video on knee strengthening. I like the length of your videos for stretching, strengthening, & balancing. As a 65 year old fun-runner I agree that my warm ups and cool downs are as important as my runs themselves! Yoga keeps me strong and injury free!
Thank you, Ash! This is my favourite sequence. I had issues with my knees and feet (plantar fasciitis) as I transitioned from 10 miles to a half marathon. The stretching I was doing simply wasn't enough. But three weeks of regular yoga exercises from your channel fixed things for me. So thanks for this amazing channel!
I’ve got a few runners knee strength sessions Rosalie so check them out too. Definitely bit more of an intense cooldown than a stretch but still very valuable 🙌🏻😊
Some more magic from the wizard. This is a great one. Very very important. Also im currently listening to outlive on audiobook during my runs thanks to your recommendation. Very interesting book.
You're very welcome as always Brian, thank you too for commenting such kind words 😊🙏 it’s really put a lot into perspective for me that book and I’ve stopped getting bogged down in all the other health information out there and just keep it simple. Eat well, improve VO2 Max, strength train, get outdoors, breathe, meditate, nurture relationships in your life, get into nature and try to rest well don’t let stress build up too much. That’s my focus!
Thanks Ash, I try to do this video every other day, It really has helped strengthened my glutes etc. I have noticed a difference when running. I have Patellofemoral Arthritis which has created a real weakness of the glutes. I recommend this particular video to anyone who mentions bad knees to me.
2nd time doing this video and I am finally getting the hang of it. Thank you so much for doing this video. Making it a yoga practice is so much more interesting than a list of workouts to complete.
I have this other runners knee strength to session. Generally want to be doing more strength work to the muscles around to support the knee. 👍🏻 Protect Your Knees: Strength Exercises for Runners ruclips.net/video/LxPPvHwFue8/видео.html
Well done for giving it a go Jaime, so many runners skip this work and it is so vital. I've made huge gains with clients that have improved their strength and balance with sessions like this 😀 thanks for commenting as you always do 🙏
Thanks Ash! Ran the half marathon a month and a half ago, and it was great! Have moved with a few injuries since, which are healing, so haven’t been running. Went for a light jog today and felt some knee twinges. Came to do this video as a new stage of strengthening before the next run (unplanned as yet), which I realise I needed last time… hey ho! Enjoyed the exercises and feel the potential for strength which is great. Will be returning for more. Now off to do one of your stretch videos. Thanks again 😊
Thank you so much for your detailed comment Lydia and for double session with me today 🙏 well done for bringing strength into your routine, it will make such a difference and it’s something we neglect and ultimately pay the price for it. Well done on the half marathon 👍🏻🎉🎉🎉
My knee has been making a noise for a while, but I don't feel any pain. Today, before running, I tried this exercise and the noise decreased, and my knee felt more relaxed 🤘🏻 Thanks
Thanks so much for this video Ash. I suffer with runners knee on my right hand side due to glute weakness and these exercises really got it firing. I’ll be adding this to my yoga routine. Fantastic help to us runners as always.
So glad you felt the benefit from this session, well done for working on it so many runners neglect strength and balance but its hugely important 😀 thank you for commenting to let me know 🙏
I started really focusing on strengthening near the knee area when I noticed I have varicose veins in my left knee, thank you for this video the muscles surrounding my knee feels tight from the work 💪
Thanks Ash! Another awesome yoga workout!!💜 A little tough but I know beneficial! Added this on to your Flexibility Boost Post Run stretch after my morning run. Today's run was a challenge 😥 but I completed as best I could. Refuse to get discouraged during 'my comeback'--and knowing one of your videos awaits after my run is encouragement to do my best!🙂
You're so welcome as ever Doreen, this one is definitely on the tougher side but it’s good to check your progress against. when you notice it feels slightly easier or your balance has improved that’s how you can see your progress 👍🏻 we have challenging runs all the time so it’s good you completed it as best you can, you have a great mental strength 😊🙏
Hey Ash!! Thankyou for another great video! I have only recently started running and have really been enjoying your videos after my run as a way to stretch, relax and recover. I love how you emphasise the importance of recovery, especially as I have had a few knee injuries and am trying to keep them as healthy as possible! I was wondering if you’d be able to make a few more warm up videos - especially anything that will target the muscles around the knee to support it through my run. ☺️
Hey Jayde!! thank you so much for your feedback it really helps me understand how I can keep making videos that people will benefit from, I appreciate you taking the time to write that comment, thank you 🙏 there’s lots more to come from my channel and definitely going to add in some focused warmups, thanks 😊
That is exactly why I move the way I do, run and stretch to help my body as I age. I want to age well too 😊 thanks for commenting and welcome to my RUclips community 🙌🏻

Glad I could help Luis! Thats such a cool comment to read, thank you for sharing with me. Strengthening the muscles around the knee is really going to help, well done for doing the session 👍🏻 welcome to my RUclips community 😊
Thank you for this practice. This is a big help as I have been trying to learn more about my body and how muscle development aids in running. As we age, we can no longer just run more miles to run better. Strength training and your videos have been a great help in remaining injury free..
Well done for sticking with this video Heather, most runners shy away from this work but like you say it’s so important to help keep us running especially as we age 😊 I appreciate your comments 🙏
Thank you, Ash! My knees are already feeling better. I can't wait to see how they feel in a couple weeks of doing this exercise regularly. Love your channel!
Doing this video 10-15 times strengthened my knees from having pain/weakness around 10-12km mark, to having NO pain during an 18km run. Amazing!!!!
That’s amazing Robin. Well done for being so consistent with this session, you deserve the rewards of a pain free run for putting that work in 👍🏻🙌🏻😊
How long for? Starting to feel discomfort around my knees.
As someone who is new to running and is facing knee pain now, this was so helpful! Will definitely be coming back to this video.
Glad it was helpful Jordanna. Thank you so much. I really appreciate that 🙏😊
My knees thanked you and asked for more! I told them it was the glutes' turn. Knees are so selfish.
😂😂 love reading your comments, thanks for posting them! Glad your knees enjoyed this 😀
😂 love this! Too funny
this SAVED my knees for my first marathon!
Thank you so much Alyssa. I really appreciate that 🙏😊
I feel better after 1 time. I can see where this will be beneficial. Thanks!
