2022 will go down as one of the craziest and unpredictable yet enjoyable years in wrestling history. It’s something I’m definitely going to look back on in five to ten years.
Unpredictable? Yeah, except roman (singles matches and title matches) , the usos (tag team with titles involved) and Gunther (singles matches, with and without title matches) if I’m not wrong. In terms of PLE matches, literally most of the matches are predictable. First half was shoving down our throats with Roman, Brock, Becky and Ronda. Yeah particularly 2nd half of 2022 has been good. This year rumble winner spot, Edge’s removal from TJD, MITB cash in on us title because Roman’s schedule and the bloodline 🤦🏻♂️, was kinda wasted) not degrading the us title? but because of the reason he cashed in by hhh’s reason to protect Roman’s reign. Either triple h is building theory or roman is holding title post MITB 2023 or WM MITB, that’s why they might have striped off the briefcase from theory before the next MITB winner 2023
2022 has been a crazy year in wrestling to say the least. So many returns, a retirement brought about because of scandal, a post-media scrum brawl, walkouts, the dominance of talents like Roman Reigns and Bianca Belair, and the rise of talents to the title scene. It's really been one hell of a year. Can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for wrestling.
2022 was honestly a really good year for WWE This year has been a really challenging year for me mentally and continues to be such However, watching WWE this year has really helped make this year still fun I learned this year, that while it’s ok to look at the past in wrestling and what came before It’s important to also appreciate the present and what’s to come
This was truly one of the wild wild years that has ever occurred with the world of wrestling. Cody returning to WWE, Vince McMahon retiring, HHH taking over creative, MJF’s pipebomb, CM Punk becoming the most hated right now, many injuries with top stars like Cody and Randy, and so much more with both WWE and AEW. Truly a crazy year and is definitely one I’ll never forget.
Looking at it, Triple H came in just in time for SummerSlam and had to deal with what was already in motion from the earlier events of the year. With 2023, Triple H has total control of every major event that influences the rest of the year: the Royal Rumble winners, the Mania feuds and fallout, the Money In The Bank winners, King/Queen Of The Ring if he does indeed bring them back, etc. I think with 2022 being the rebuilding process year, 2023 could end up being WWE's best year in a long time.
Stopped watching in like 2010 and came back when HHH took over and I'm glad I have. Just the second half of this year has been pretty wild and feels fresh.
This is truly the year that has 100% got me back into wrestling. The amount of insanity that took place this year, both good and bad, reminded me of why I loved the WWE so much as a kid and my love for it has been restored. If there are 10 moments that stand out from this year, they would be: • Roman vs. Brock - Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam • Cody Rhodes wrestling with a fully torn pec at Hell in a Cell • Cody's return at WM 38 • Gunther vs. Sheamus at Clash at the Castle • Vince McMahon officially retiring from the WWE • Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of the company • Sami Zayn's entire run with the Bloodline • Judgment Day's entire heel run • Dominik turning on Rey and Edge • Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle's edgy promo
1. The overlooked fued between Triple H and William Regal 2. Shelton Benjamin's Gold Standard gimmick 3. MVP's fued with Randy Orton 4. What happened to Wade Barrett
I came back to watching wwe this year after being gone since about 2015. I must say, the booking, the storylines, the wrestlers and THE WAR GAMES were all awesome. I joined fairly late, to be fair, just after Crown Jewel. Wow, WWE is good again.
honestly, I think what we got instead wasn't too bad as a consolation once we got past some of that hookey mysterio stuff. I do wish we got to see a prolonged heel edge one more time tho
2022 is gonna be a huge part in the history books for the wrestling world. This has been one of the wildest wrestling years ever, we started off with a terrible Royal rumble, elimination chamber didn’t help, and then out of no where mania was just a breath of fresh air. Clash at the Castle is definitely PLE of the year. But match of the year is tough. We’ve had so many good matches this year it’s hard to choose, we had all three Cody v Rollins matches, we had Becky v Bianca at mania, we had the Rollins and Riddle matches, we had The Brawling Brutes v Imperium, Both Sheamus v Walter matches, Brock v Roman at Summerslam, we had Riddle v Reigns, we had McIntyre v Reigns at Clash at the Castle, we had the mens Wargames Match. But I think I know what my match of the year is… My match of the year is… Sheamus vs Walter at Clash at the Castle. This match was exactly what we all were hoping and expecting it to be, these two men put on an instant classic and the start of the match when the brawling brutes and imperium start attacking eachother while Walter and Sheamus stare eachother down was an amazing moment. That is my match if the year.
Literally that one night in Montreal on Smackdown made three face turns because the crowd liked them. The Brawling Brutes, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn into a Tweener since he is still heel but the crowd loves him, I’m not sure if they did or not going into the bloodline but definitely with the debut of Ucey
Smackdown’s women’s division is probably the biggest casualty. Lacey getting repackaged, the ball has completely dropped on Xia Li, and while Raquel is great, they’re not ready to pull the trigger as long as Ronda is there.
@@_______________2001 Real talk those daily stories about Vince being a freak. Sasha walking out cm punk going off. Is Cody going to wwe a work. Was by far the best drama I read about. Very entertaining.
Top 5 in no order Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar Summerslam Becky Lynch vs Bianca at Mania Cody vs Seth HIAC Bianca vs Becky vs Asuka HIAC underrated Gunther vs Sheamus Clash at the Castle
WWE in 2022 was a bumpy ride in general wrestling in 2022 was a bumpy ride. Cody returned, Vince retired multiple, Triple H got hired as head of creative, wrestlers bunch of wrestlers returned, Sami Zayn struck gold with Ucey, Sami being in the Bloodline, Logan Paul impressive at Mania, Summerslam and Crown Jewel, Judgment Day forming and being booked well. This year in wrestling was a roller-coaster
I know everyone was upset that Cody got injured... but crazily enough, it was the best thing that has ever happened to him this year. I mean, we are still talking about Seth vs Rhodes in HIAC BECAUSE of his injury. Perfect timing in my opinion because he left the roster brewing very nicely so by the time he gets back, the Triple H regime will be in full swing. As for Seth... I hope this guy collects titles left right and centre from here on out! He is HANDS DOWN thee best wrestler this year so I totally agree with you on that. Bianca really turned up and her promo skills really got better. She was able to properly translate the attitude she naturally into her promos. The Brawling Brutes... that really was Vince's last gift to the fans this year. I also thought Butch was a name was dumb... but I actually like it now. I agree 100% that Drew McIntyre didn't get the chance to dial up to 100 this year but he did make the best of all his appearance so shout outs to him for that. Sasha being gone is still the worst. I keep hoping she comes back and I know that she would be exaxtly what the Smackdown roster needs. Honestly. Vince is a genius but sometimes... he really drops the ball. Can't believe that he had to drop it with Sasha out of all people. It's also sad to realise that Charlotte was not lying when she said she was carrying the Woman's division in Smackdown. She left... and everything fell apart. It's so crazy
2022 had both one of the worst Royal Rumble PPVs of all time and one of the best Survivor Series PPVs of all time. The transition from Vince McMahon to Triple H was clear as day.
If Rey gets inducted into the hall of fame... I guarantee you he will get closelined during his speech to advance some mediocre storyline that's happening at that time.
In Drew's defense, he's even stated he was hurt on and off this year. And if it wasn't for Vince nuthugging brock, we were more likely to see Seth beat Roman over drew
I'll say it was a good year for WWE in 2022. It started off bad in some way in parts of the first half of the year, what with Sasha and Naomi walking out, the Vince investigation and Vince's subsequent retirement which is still shocking to me, the injury bug biting people here and there , Shane McMahon getting fired which is crazy to me, but what awesome stuff we saw in that half of the year like Cody Rhodes returning and when the latter half of the year started, what a way to turn it around. HHH became Head of Creative, some awesome returns in WWE occurred, and so much more.
Like it’s been the last 12 years. The behind the scenes drama was the best part. Some great ppv matches. Part time guys and celebrities dominating the big ppv spots and tv was mid as always.
It’s crazy to look back and remember how crazy Vince booked Lesnar last year, compared to Triple H since he took over. Vince had Lesnar squash everyone left in the rumble, and squash everyone in elimination chamber, while Triple H has made Lesnar lose very quickly to Bobby Lashley, and then get knocked out this years rumble in only three minutes. It’s crazy how night and day the booking for him was this past calendar year.
Post Wrestlemania, WWE in 2022 was the best it could be. Cody was a full time Roster member going out there and having classic matches, you were always wondering what was next for him. Meanwhile, The Judgement Day was just beginning to kick off and it was super interesting to see Edge breathe life into these lifeless superstars and make them special. Randy and Riddle were carrying Raw, Kevin Owens and Ezekiel were being absolutely hilarious. Everything was perfect.... until Post Hell in a Cell. Randy at this point was out with an injury, and so was Cody. Owens and Ezekiel was super boring at this point and Edge had been kicked out of the Judgement day and I immediately lost interest in that Faction. After that, WWE became super boring for me. Luckily they managed to pick things up near the end, with Triple H now in charge and giving us a lot of exciting moments and returns. Can't wait to see how 2023 goes.
It's great. It started bad with Day 1 Big E looses WWE champ, Brock winning rumble to just unify at WrestleMania main event suck. But then SummerSlam Brock tractor spot, the Cody n Seth rivalry, Clash of Castle matches Gunther n Sheamus, McIntyre and reigns, judgement day grew, returns of Hit Row n OC, Bobby lashley US prestige, better Theory. It seems “out of character” that he guy who was crowned “Best In The World”, pinned Roman Reigns and won his feuds with The Miz and KO & Zayn would make the rumble about himself??
2022 was a crazy but in a good way. Cody Rhodes and Steve Austin return at WrestleMania, Triple H and Vince retire, Tony Khan buys ROH, CM Punk and Elite Drama, Logan Paul steals the show at Crown Jewel, etc. Something to look back fondly in 4 years from now.
@@pleaseshutup7053not all main event steal the show Clash to the cash Drew vs Roman was the main event yet they wasn’t the best match Gunther vs sheamus Seth vs riddle was better
I think the world title picture was overall pretty damn bland for the most part but the rest of the stiff was really good imo. RKBRO was 100% the best part about it
2022 was an odd one. From Jan to Apr, it was good but questionable in terms of booking and stuff. Brock winning the title, then losing it to win the rumble, to him winning the title at EC is so stupid and messy. Roman was very good with Seth and wasn't so much in the build up to the WM main event. Wrestlemania was half good half eh. Night 1 was awesome while night 2 was eh. Apr to Aug was bad. The problems backstage with the stuff that was happening around wasn't helping it. There was greatness in terms of Seth vs Cody at HIAC and Roman vs Brock at SS. Two matches of the year candidates but a lot of stuff wasn't good thanks to shitty stuff by Vince. Aug to Dec was very good. Thanks to Vince retiring and HHH taking control, things got better from now on. Not perfect but very good and looking forward for the coming madness. The PLEs were very good to great by that point and the in-ring performances as well as promos were great. JD were good after throwing Edge out, Gunther was a monster, BB were fun, Sami's involvement in the Bloodline was a great emotional ride, etc. The problems I could think off was Ronda's underwhelming performance, Rey being bullied by everyone although that could generate a great story later, Austin's cashing the briefcase which could have been better if it went to NXT and see something new out of it though Austin's new character could change my mind, and some stuff here and there. I can say this year was around 7'5/10 mainly because of the last four months. We still have a lot to know for the coming months and whether the problems would be fixed or not. Sasha still out and if rumors can shut the fuck up to know if the situation would return or not, Cody returning and winning the rumble if he was ready, and the other stuff WWE needs to deal with somehow but we will see.
No such thing as a good battle royal. It is the bearhug of stipulation matches. And the clawhold is the WWE cage match were you have to run away to win
2022 was good. outside of WM, extreme rules & Clash@castle my favorite ppvs. Cody/Rollins is feud of the year. Wish there was more competition for Belair prior to bayley coming back, Rhea got hurt and she was just running though all the women but solidified she's the EST 😏

Well hunter was getting back ppl he worked his ass off to build so I don't blame him for going back and getting his wrestlers...and I was there live for brays return in philly video is on my channel lol I was a little confused cuz from where I was sitting it was hard to see what was going on untill bray came out 🤣🤣
Is it weird to say that I want Charlotte to return next year and beat Ronda?
It seems “out of character” that he guy who was crowned “Best In The World”, pinned Roman Reigns and won his feuds with The Miz and KO & Zayn would make the rumble about himself??
Yooo I’m a huge fan and I was wondering if you could do a video on Stephanie McMahons run as general manager of smackdown
2022 is WWEs 2nd half comeback
Great year for PPVs. I thought everything besides the Rumble was solid-great
best match of 2022 as to be brock vs roman at summerslam
this and that
Why have Brock Lesnar win the Royal Rumble if he was going to win the WWE title in the Elimination Chamber match?
Because Vince wanted to make sure the royal rumble meant nothing
Aj styles turned baby face 2022
You already made a video about Miz first face run 2013, can you make another video of his 2nd face run 2019?
2022 was a crazy but in a good way. Cody Rhodes and Steve Austin return at WrestleMania, Triple H and Vince retire, Tony Khan buys ROH, CM Punk and Elite Drama, Logan Paul steals the show at Crown Jewel, etc. Something to look back fondly in 4 years from now.
How do you steal the show when you are in the main event?
I just realized Steve Austin made an appearance at wrestlemania only never tv haha
@@pleaseshutup7053not all main event steal the show
Clash to the cash
Drew vs Roman was the main event yet they wasn’t the best match
Gunther vs sheamus
Seth vs riddle was better
Havent watched RAW nor SD since May, and NXT since July/August. Only main roster PPV's.
Liv Morgan is breakout superstar of the year
No it was theory or gunther
Definitely Gunther, Liv's reign was forgettable af
huh?

Yes
Cody wrestle in hell in a cell before wen you was a tag team against dx
Ngl my promo of the year is new day and usos (change my mind)
I think the world title picture was overall pretty damn bland for the most part but the rest of the stiff was really good imo. RKBRO was 100% the best part about it
John Cena's 4th World Championship reign?
No
Yes
@@pleaseshutup7053 than don't watch it
R.i.p. takeoff.
I hope balor becomes a world champion in 2023 😞

Sami Zayn and the Bloodline
You have to do an NXT in 2022 video
Year of veergins ❤️
Everything was I would say ok but wwe messed up big time at Royal Rumble 2022. I wish AJ won the 2022 Men Royal Rumble Match.
Tbh I'd love an NXT one
No such thing as a good battle royal. It is the bearhug of stipulation matches. And the clawhold is the WWE cage match were you have to run away to win
Please talk about NXT 2.0 2022
I knew once Brock Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashely at the Royal Rumble I knew he was going to compete in it and winning it
don't forget the UCEY part.
Mjf punk is feud of the year
@@pleaseshutup7053 no seth and cody is but mjf and punk had the best overall presentation
@@pleaseshutup7053 thats cool that's your opinion lol why do people always try to change someone else opinion
@@cerebralfanatic who is trying to change someone’s opinion. You gave yours and you got a reply. Isn’t that why you made the post in the first place?
@@cerebralfanatic why are all you weird people who can’t handle someone having a different opinion than you
HHH should bring back the Pete Dunne name in 2023
You should do AEW next then NXT we will be waiting
