Without question, the most acclaimed and beloved pretender to Resident Evil’s 90's throne was Konami’s 1999 smash hit, Silent Hill. Silent Hill borrowed a lot from Resident Evil in terms of its style and gameplay, but it stood out by bringing a unique perspective to the horror. Resident Evil did a great job of making you worry about what might lurk in the dark corners of your room, but Silent Hill made you worry about what might lurk in the dark corners of your mind. All of this is to say that Silent Hill is a game of spookums, but it is also a game of thinkums. It then adds heaping loads of stinkums into the mix as the series progresses, but we’ll get to that. Here is Every Silent Hill Video Game Ranked From Worst To Best.

It's refreshing when I see someone else put Silent Hill 3 at the top of their list
Honestly, if we're going just by narrative alone I would still pick Silent Hill 2, but as an overall package and especially as a horror game, Silent Hill 3 might be at the very top of my list in any franchise
That game scares the absolute s*** out of me
Same here. I had it nailed on in my mind the top 3 would go 1 > 3 > 2 in reverse order as I was watching. And was pleasantly surprised to see the video order the same as I would go with. SH2 is awesome as a game. SH3 is an actual experience. I still pop on the UFO ending I have a PC SH3 saved right before occasionally for a laugh and singalong. (For anyone unfamiliar with the EXCELLENT PC port of SH3 you can save anywhere same as the old PC Tomb Raider games. Makes it a bit less punishing imo.)
Radical Reggie also ranked SH3 as his favourite of the franchise
@@nevousabonnezpas4286 Not familiar with him, I'll have to check it out
It does seem like three can be a little divisive amongst fans for where it sits in the top of the rankings even if it is mostly at least considered to be good
@@adamdavis1737 As far as I am concerned, I have only played the hd compilation (which, from what I've heard, is not the good way to discover those games), therefore I didn't experienced SH3 for what it was: the sequel of SH1. Overall I prefer SH2 (like many people) because it is an whole psychodrama translate into a video game. Whereas SH3 is "simply" a living nightmare IMO
@@nevousabonnezpas4286 I think I would concede that Silent Hill 2 is overall a better video game. It's more tightly focused, the plot is more engaging and stands on its own a lot better, and it maintains this depressing unsettling atmosphere throughout the whole thing. You feel lonely and alienated and it works so well
For me however I wasn't actually a huge silent Hill fan, I didn't start playing until the second one and it was mostly because by that point I was huge into Resident Evil and was just a survival horror fan
So when the third game came out I really was not able to make any connections with the plot since I never played the first one
All I know is that that game scared the shit out of me more so than nearly any other game I've ever played
Like you said it's like living a nightmare. Term I like to use for it is unrelentingly oppressive
If Silent Hill 2 makes you feel lonely and depressed and uneasy
Silent Hill 3 makes You feel constant dread, tension, And hopelessness due to the danger
So as far as a horror experience it stands out to me more
But Silent Hill 2 is indeed a masterpiece
I'm convinced triple jump is out to "worst to best" everything. I'm here for it.
And once they have documented “worst to best” of everything, they will have to do a “worst to best of TripleJumps videos
@@Luukus kinda been waiting on that honestly
And after it all, we'll need, all worst to best videos ranked, worst to best
"The fear of blood tends to create fear for the flesh..."
*"plays the best intro in video games"*
I wholeheartedly agree with your #1 choice.
So many people sleep on Silent Hill 3 seemingly because it isn't Silent Hill 2, which is what most mainstream outlets hail as not only the the best in the series, but one of - if not the best horror games of all time.
To its credit, Silent Hill 2 is great, but for me Silent Hill 3 goes beyond the second entry by linking the lore together and elevating the first game in a way that goes beyond the reveal of Heather's true self, which in itself was truly shocking the first time I played through it.
When you pair that sort of investment into the story with a truly likeable and sympathetic protagonist, you get a game that not only compels you through the execution of its horror, but stays with you after you've beaten it through the strength of its emotional investment.

I wish I wasn't such a scaredy cat who can't handle spookums, because the first 3 silent hills actually sound interesting.
I think you should be ok to watch playthroughs of at least the first two -- 3 leans harder into the horror imagery and soundscapes but I was ok watching a playthrough with commentary

@@RyBsOn888 From what I hear their other games suck but yeah we'll see I have hope
@@FoolishMule97 they dont suck in every aspect. They are mediocre at telling stories but graphics are wonderfull. SH2 already has story written so i wish they will make it a good remake.
@@RyBsOn888 > They are mediocre at telling stories
This point i don't agree with. U can say they not a "gameplay-studios" like standard video game playing stuff, but for the story they game has 1 of, or better aspect, Layers of Fear is still underrated masterpiece (people just hate walk sims, but many silent hill and horrors are walking sims, better than bad combat) and Observer is great too, unfortunately i heard that devs who make this game not work on remake and i hate face of James, but... they can be good in recreative stuff that already written, i guess. But i still think for this important game we need Japan studios or Fan studio.
@@unkn0wn289 Yeah, people keep ripping on Bloober Team and I'm like... wasn't Layers of Fear really good? Why does everyone keep saying all their work is crap?
Silent Hill Downpour has a great Silent Hill openworld, with secret locations and sidequests. This, how creative and interesting some of the quests are and the artstyle are the main pros.
Totally agree, underrated for sure it would be in my top 5. Although the lack of enemy variety and technical problems really hurt it.
@@mikelitoris8717 yeah, but it seemed like a promising direction for the franchise...
I liked The Room I think a lot more than most other people did, but I went into with absolutely no expectations whatever, and was able to just take it for what it was. There's some very tedious points in the game and I don't know anyone who actually likes an escort mission in just about any game.
RIP Phillip! We miss you, bruv.
The Room would be the best silent Hill if they had 10 solid levels instead of repeating 5 two times each, still in my top three for the series
Homecoming gets a bad wrap amongst SH fans but I will say it has some of the best creature designs and one of the best ost's in the entire series. That is a (Silent) hill that I will die on :')
Excellent list boys and girls! ^.^
Agreed! I'd say Homecoming is more Silent Hill than 4 is. At least Homecoming was meant to be a SH game. 4 was just a horror game with SH tacked on. Also the fact Homecoming is lower than Downpour is a crime.
@@skippyobrien1228 I still like both 4 and downpour, but I agree ^.^ downpour has a really strong protagonist and the orphanage section is excellent but the rest is pretty average.
I actually really liked Homecoming as a die-hard fan of the series. I think what I liked the most was how it tried to take the series in a new direction, both with more combat-heavy mechanics, but also with the setting. I appreciate that they went so much into the origins of Silent Hill, even more, I'd say than "SH: Origins" did. You get a look at this new, but related town which essentially was behind everything that is happening in Silent Hill. I like how the creators also took inspiration from the first SH movie, which I also really enjoyed. I think the story for Homecoming was also solid and there were some really psychologically heavy/tense moments. I'd definitely say it isn't as scary as other SH game, which I think is a big complaint from people, but it does get under your skin with the themes throughout.
@@skippyobrien1228 L the room is amazing

Konami: Hold my beer.
You had me until the end. You said it should’ve ended w/ 3. Fully disagree. But you got 4 all wrong. Yeah, Henry isn’t the best, but his reactions are more believable, and as a character seems a little more relatable. That and Eileen adds that difficulty in a believable way. Also the rest of the NPC’s are both endearing and ominous. Spoilers*, even after they die.
I mean imo Downpour and Shattered Memories are also worth playing and above average plays to me at least. Same with 4. They aren't quite 2 and 3, but that's okay, they're still good games
The script for the silent Hill 1 entry is a masterpiece
Mad respect to you guys for putting SH 3 as the best Silent Hill game. I've always thought SH3 was the best because of Heather, the concept of shirking fate and taking your destiny into your own hands, the idea of loss of a loved one, and that kick ass soundtrack!
I still listen to that title song and when I played it Limbo on Xbox 360, the Silent Hill 3 CD was my soundtrack.
@@timothylewis2527 the intro is an absolute 🐐. I can't skip it any time I fire the game up!
RIP Philip, you're a legend.
3 placed above 2? Heather may be a more interesting protagonist (maybe) but the atmosphere/story of 2 will always make it my personal favourite.
This just another plebeian unable to appreciate nuance and well written story, "muh magic and evil god demon" plot is way simpler. Laugh at him and drop thumbs down
@@Andriej69 look i love 2 more than 3 but to say sh3's story isn't well written is bluffing. it's not only about the cult the whole purpose of heather going to silent hill was revenge for her dad not to mention it is the scariest one (imo)
@@shadowsenpai7151 I said simpler, not badly written
@@Andriej69 my bad
The Room, as always, ranked far too low, easily my personal favorite
Maybe if it was Silent Hill in anything other than name... it went in completely different direction, it almost completely lacks atmosphere of SH games, Henry is characterless, maybe they've made him as such, so you could "imprint" yourself on him easier, dunno... but he's empty. SH wasn't ever about literal ghosts, and SH4 is not about personal horror at all. And as mentioned in video, the fact that you're revisiting each location twice, doesn't do it any favors either. It also lacks town exploration. I did like OST and Eileen, and didn't even mind escort part with her... combat was meh, inventory system was stupid, breakable weapons didn't contribute to anything, other than being annoying. So for me, while not a bad game, it's the first step down for SH. Lack of full Team Silent was evident. Whole game feels like it was never meant to be Silent Hill game, just have few Easter Eggs, then was later renamed to have more sales.
rest in peace Philip J Reed, your work will forever be immortalized and you will forever be missed also good work boiz as usual bringing us top tier entertainment as per the usual
Holy crap! I've seen my fair share of shitty videos about Silent Hill, but this one definitely takes the cake. There are so many things wrong in/with this video, that I can't waste my time correcting everything, it's not worth it.
Share. What's wrong? I'm curious to know.
I guess you'll just have to live with a different opinion then, huh?
@@eddie142 no. He won't really. Unless he decides to carry the memory of this video with him for the rest of his life. LOL
The only thing in the video that was flat out wrong was the stuff about silent hill 4s development, I have no clue what other stuff he is on about
I'm so happy you picked 3. I honestly thought you'd go with 2.
Be quiet...but I agree
I have honestly always felt the same about the games over all the years.... I really enjoyed number two but I can't for the life of me see why people thought it was better than three beside that they might have all played it first. Number three was in my opinion the best Silent Hill game released to date tied with the first in many cases.
@@fishjourney4750 Well for me the Silent Hill 2 ditching the cult aspect and just focusing on the psyche of one man struggling with his own mental demons made manifest is more compelling than a cult trying to summon a god. Now obviously Silent Hill 2 can't exist without that foundation from 1, but the story of Silent Hill 2 stands on it's own and is fairly unique in the land of video games. Silent Hill 3, a fantastic game in it's own right, is another chapter in the series of a cult summoning their dark god.
@@fishjourney4750 Well... SH2 is about story, and if you mostly care about story, it's better than SH3 probably. But for me SH3 is just better paced, with more interesting main character, and better combat/gameplay too. SH2 is rather... empty... not in a bad way, but intentionally was made in a such way to give players sense of distance from the rest of the world (like long intro sequence, where you're going towards SH), and later on wasn't that focused on combat at all.
To me Heather also felt more real/personal, her reaction to stuff was much more realistic, she was scared of things, disgusted by things, and while Harry had some reactions, James was rather desensitized, which makes sense in context and background story, and even more if you consider certain ending as cannon. But still... Heather was more vulnerable, and you've cared more about her, while you've barely cared about what happens to James, other than the fact that he's main character, and you lose if he dies lol. Basically you were caring more about Maria, and maybe even Laura.
I liked Homecoming, but the combat was definitely weak. The story was.. ok. But fighting felt like a chore, especially when enemies could easily one or two shot you.
SH1 will always be my favorite due to sheer nostalgia, but I know 2 is the most popular with most fans.
My only issue with 3 is that there was a lot less of the town to explore and it was mostly just corridors inside buildings.
“…like playing Postal on a Leap Frog” - just spat out ma soup 😂😂
These can be pretty easily categorized.
- The first three masterpieces
-The Room
- The rest of the trash
Skip at least 5 mins thank me later
I love Silent Hill the Room. I think it is the scariest game in the series.
I think Homecoming and Downpour should swap places imo, Downpour had lazy monster design, a weak story line and never even felt like a Silent Hill game when I played it. But Homecoming had much better monster design and a much creepier unnerving uncomfortable atmosphere with a better more interesting storyline and it actually felt like I was playing a Silent Hill game.
Sad to say I've never played a Silent Hill game, besides on a demo disc back in the day. Edit: Just rememred OSW (well Jay) did a silent hill thing recently

The idea of Silent Hill being shaped by someone other than the main character is a interesting idea, one I wished had been revisited again. Maybe in a game on a more powerful system that uses atmosphere, shadow and fog not out of necessity, but out of intent. Shame Konami doesn't know how to make games anymore.
it's so good to finally see some MAJOR love and recognizement for silent hill 3 - always and forever my favorite. yeah, i love sh2 as any other person and it is a narrative masterpiece, but sh3 encompasses every single damn thing about what actually is SO GREAT in silent hill's approach to psychological, disturbing horror. and, of course, heather serving cunt and being THE BEST protagonist of all time in the franchise is just major
Bravo putting 3 over 2! But you underrated 4, like everyone does. :-D
Imagine putting 3 as the best simply because the protagonist is female. That's honestly pathetic.
Though a bit funny with the punchlines in this vid sometimes, its sad the way this list contradicts itself unknowingly like so many other Best SH games lists do. Shattered memory was an insult to fans of the first game, being almost akin to the new star wars trilogy with how it disregarded long standing canon for a hollow remake. That game also had the crummy taarget tracking and most often fast paced gameplay that the arcade was lambasted for earlier in this list video, but we dont need to speak on that, right? Then theres the laughable inclusion of one of the mobile games, if you can even call it that, being a step above one of the main installments of the franchise. And though said game, Downpour, was one of the two final games in the franchise for a long time, mainly due to how often bad and dissimilar they were to their earliest predecessors, a mobile was still placed above it... Then thees no proper recognition for how Silent HIll 4 actually did a lot to evolve the franchise while also being the most macabre and scariest game in the entire franchise until PT. Like most SH ranking lists, this too maks me shake my head. But the icing ipon the proverbial caca cake is that these kinda lists never put the first game at the top. No regard for the gem that beegan it all, no everything is always more focused upon SIlent HIl 2 and 3. Sure they were on a console more powerful than the PS1 by a single generation, which is really one of the main unspoken reaons folks like it but are too afraid to point out for fear of "shattering their own memories" about why the 2nd and 3rd entries were really so popular. And the second game isnt even a direct continuation, thats another issue. Instead of being about the years of Henry and his adopted daughter living and on the run for their lives, which would have made for a more interesting game between the first and the third, and make more sense in the overall mythos an chronology, we get the way SH2 was... practically a spinoff in its own right. And so game 3 always ends up at the top with an almost "Mary Sue" like trope of a young, arguably helpless teenage girl being able to literally stand toe to toe with not only monsters in general, but some truly imposing, if not simply unfathomable horrifying and dangerous creatures regardless of their size. I am familiar with all the games in the franchise, but one of the things that really was disappointing to hear that Silent HIll 1 was "...a pretender to Resident Evil's throne..." O>o woooow... All of this and more makes me wonder if the people involved in the making of this video are even fans of the franchise at all. Because if they are, and mind you they dont need to be mega fans (Im not, though I love entries like SH1 since it was new) it would actually be a bit more disappointing. I get how some people from older or younger generations can be so detached with intellectual properties and franchises that were not around during their own growth cycles or "heydays", and I can als understand that most people in the world are not at all fans of the fantastic and elementally intrinsic to humanities history genre that is horror, but still...seeing the same basic list over and over again, is beyond disappointing. How I pine for the days when so many things were not part of the mainstream, and thus had so much more worth and validity than how popular culture has sullied things with its grubby little mittens over the last two decades. Overall I give this video a 4/10 since it was at least written well and as I said previously, sometimes funny. It just shows how most franchises have suffered from tarnishment, unable to truly recover. And all despite SH having new entries on the way, one of which takes place in 1960s Japan, which makes me concerned on multiple levels for the franchises future, as well as...you guessed it: ANOTHER REMAKE. And unsurprisingly, its of SH 2, the unofficial spin off which since its release has made me often disappointed in the franchise, its creators, and peoples abilities to gauge and judge things properly overall. Cant take the fact that I call out the "mainstream masses" for liking something I dont? Tough. I say the same about religion and other groups that show about as little value for critical thinking by the individual. *shrugs lol I realize this came off sounding harsh, but its all about the discourse of communication, not drama, I assure yall. Long Live SILENT HILL! I Hope the new games dont further drive it all into the ground. T
Also apologies for the typos that are often present, my eyesight is poor at times, especially when tired, and I seem to be both losing some of the tactile sensations in my fingers AND hands ( wtf, right? lol), though I dont know if thats due to age or, more than likely, an as of yet undiagnosed underlying degradating condistion. Still, I had to voice my thoughts as a long time fan of Silent HIll, and horror in general. I am always open to being called wrong, since, nothing regarding entertainmenti n general is worth getting in a real tiffy in beyond the seemingly bellicose and emphatic youtube rant which is cathartic. Its quite liberating, no cap, and by no means meant to be mean. Ciao for now. And be well yall. ^~^
I'm waiting for Silent Hill - 2: The Roomba. It's always there, just out the corner of your eye.... watching..... vacuuming... and it knows all you dirty secrets.
That Shattered Memories is even considered a Silent Hill game and is included in this video is embarrassing.

You guys are awesome, keep giving us great content
This was actually an incredible list and why I've decided to resubscribe. Incredibly well thought out and put together. The only thing I have to correct is that "No other Silent Hill game other than 1 having the main character go through someone else's personal hell instead of their own." Despite the controversy around it for its clunkiness, 4 is the only other one to do it as well. I won't go into depth as to why to not spoil as well. But yeah! I'd say this is one of the definitive lists for Silent Hill quality. Philip and you guys nailed it!
23:35 Silent Hillarious 🤣🤣🤣

PT, a game that never actually released, better than SH4? I know the escort mission stuff is annoying in 4 but Jesus, just give that some thought
Silent hill 3 graphics are just amazing for a 2003 game

Silent Hill 3 is not better than Silent Hill 2 or 1
It just boggles my mind that people think downpour is better than homecoming
I was dreading what you'd have to say about Shattered Memories, because it's not very popular among fans, but I was pleasantly surprised that you actually seem to have enjoyed it as much as I did. And then you one-upped yourselves by ranking Silent Hill 3 at the top. It's like I wrote this list myself.
Silent Hill 3 could have been WAY better. They dropped the ball with the monsters and putting meaning behind them .
"Silent Hill Origins" and "Shattered Memories" are also on PS2.

SH2 not just the best SH game, greatest game of all time
Silent Hill 3 being number one is a pretty bold move, and a very right one at that. SH1 and 2 are more than great but imo SH3 is better than both in many ways, which is saying a lot.
Imagine putting 3 as the best simply because the protagonist is female. That's honestly pathetic.
Wtf?
Just not why they put 3 in 1st? Heather is a really good character? Like, the best in the series?
@@closetdemon4769 3 is objectively not the best in the series and Heather is objectively not the best character.
@@Music-vr7szif you like the other games or characters more that's chill dude but there isn't an objective best game, they each succeed in different areas and depending on what you prioritise in a game will effect what you believe is the best
@closetdemon4769 while true in a way, 2 is objectively the best. And while some have varying opinions 3 was very weak as a game. The only people I've ever seen claim it's the best are because of the female MC and a wrong belief that it's some metaphor for female oppression.
RIP Philip, thanks for giving us all one more laugh with this amazing script.
Yes! I've been a rabid Silent Hill fan since it's inception, played nearly all of them and couldn't agree more that 3 is the best in the series. I always get flack for picking 3 over 2 but it's just the prefect game for me. Still among my top 3 games ever.
Yer man the fandom and SH2 fans especially are kinda psycho themselves.

Finally, someone that doesn't choose 2 as the best, just cus it is the popular thing to do. I always preferred 3 over 2, and it's kinda sad how much 2 overshadows it. I am just hoping the Silent Hill 2 remake does well and we get 1 and 3 remade.
Shattered memories is horrible
I think SH2 should be number 1
1 2 3 Origins are top 4.
I think Silent Hill: Orphan is underrated gem. The atmosphere is amazing, writing is incredible. It is a masterpiece. And, given platform limitations, it could be easily No. 1.

I very much still prefer 2 over 3 but I think I agree with the rest of the list. I may be in the minority but I also prefer Shattered Memories over 4. 4’s setup is brilliant but the rest doesn’t quite work for me.
I prefer 1 over any other sh game, what now?
I kinda was late to the party. Started playing the series with SH1 back 2019 and i was instantly hooked. Played all games up until shattered memories except homecoming and downpour. My favorites are 2,3 and origins
I disagree I think homecoming is the only later instalment that captured silent hills atmosphere. Is it as great as the first 4 no but it's still a good game and I'll stand by that
I liked the atmosphere and especially the design of the bosses. I did not like the combat. Especially the stun-lock part of it.
“Quick time events has never been and never will be a satisfying way to fight”
Kratos: hold my axe boy !
Shenmue also had good QTE usage (even coined the term) cos the button prompts matched the regular free battle controls and weren’t just random (QTE punches always used the punch button for example).
A lot of what ppl hate about QTE in other games is its randomness or being in scenes not designed for it.
What if they did an “every licensed game ranked”
Love these lists! You should do one for all games in the Alien franchise
Welp, this list has rendered me...Silent...🤘🏼💯✔️
Good video! I do like the Silent Hill games, though the only ones I've ever beaten are 1-4 and Origins. Didn't much care for Homecoming or Downpour. My own rankings are slightly different in a few ways than most peoples':
I really thought SH4 was an underrated gem. It was interesting, thought-provoking, and made a genuine attempt to be different. The main issue I had with it (burping patients aside), is that they put all the scariest things into the trailer. So, there weren't any real scares left in the game, since I was like "Oh cool, this is that thing I saw" instead of "uh-oh".
The original Silent Hill will always be my favorite. Harry Mason is a great guy, plus it broke open a genre.
I'm one of the few people I know who rate Silent Hill 2 much lower. It had a lot going for it: The idea of the town as an eldritch entity, something personalized, some genuinely good boss fight, and Pyramid Head, who yes gets his own entry. But it had two things against it:
1) The normal enemies are just too weak and infrequent. If you play with any combination of skill, caution, intelligence, etc, you're never really in danger. It's hard to be scared of a game where you're not in overly much danger. (And I'm not necessarily especially skilled--SH3 kicks my butt and I love it for that).
2) James Sunderland. He's just such a drip. His stupidity is so bad, it breaks immersion for me. He's so foolish, that I'm not scared of anything bad happening, because he's soooo dumb he deserves it. Two specific highlights of many: Laura tricking him into the room and then slamming the door behind him. I smacked my forehead so loud. Not to mention, it never occurred to him to shout "Help, I'm in danger". And even worse, the fight with Eddie at the end. Eddie's clearly deranged, waving a gun around, threatening you, and bragging about having shot people. He warns you away, then turns to leave. He's walking away. He's about to LEAVE YOU ALONE. And what does James do? Blurt out, in the derpiest voice imaginable, "Eddie, have you gone NUTS?" Which provokes the fight and forces you to kill him in self-defense. Dude, he was leaving. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.
James being a fool was honestly enough to break my enjoyment of what could have been an excellent game.
Of the ones I've played, I'd rank the order this way: SH > SH3 > SH4 > SH2 > SH Origins (though Origins is really good, just a bit safe) > SH Homecoming > SH Downpour.
“Any time soon” *releases this video after the announcement of 4 new games and a movie*
The fact that you had to hit fans over the head at the start with the "these games have bad stuff in them" warning was pretty cringey.
SH2 > SH1>SH3
SH3 was lazy when it came to the story and the reason Silent Hill failed! The atmosphere, sound design, Ost paled in comparison to the first 2 games and most of the game wasn't even set in Silent Hill
Yasssss get that sponsorship money. 🥳
After the fourth one the series totally lost the what actually made Silent hill great. Monsters look too "polished", the world too etc... Silent hill is meant to be oppressive, disgusting, anxiety inducing.
And after the fourth one they threw those ideas totally out of the window and tried to create polished survival horror to sell as many copies as possible.
I’m sorry but Silent Hill Shattered Memories is ranked way too high that game is ass Silent Hill 4: The Room should be ahead of Shattered Memories also I’m really happy to see Silent Hill 3 at #1 it truly does deserve that spot
For that Petermid head gag, Peter has to be destroyed.
At present, there is a deep fog, a bag, anf a quiet taste.
Nornally i enjoy a good quiet taste, but whenever there's a bag involved i just can't get on board.
FYI theres now footage of the Silent hill Orphan mobile game now, they archived the Chinese version of it.
Can't wait to see the rankings of the pachinko machine and the remastered 7th console gen versions with janky fonts. Even though Ben already said they're not on here
I's say Silent Hill Arcade was pretty boring as a light gun game personally (it just felt slow and dull when I tried it).
Shattered Memories is the most tragic fate here. As a general horror game the idea of it is genius. But as a Silent Hill game it is beyond a black sheep and doomed to aggressive mediocrity at best among its target audience.
Goddamn five minutes of preamble is egregious lol
LMAO shattered memories also came out on psp and ps2 also emulated on pc many better ways to play it. Easily the best silent hill very underrated
Hey, Shattered Memories also came out on the PS2! It's grotesquely expensive and doesn't have the unique features of the Wii, but it's still another release.
Also, this must have been recorded before all the announcements, because it looks like Konami will be desecrating these corpses again in the near future. It's absolutely shocking, I know. Konami of all people. It's mostly looking good too!
I paid £90 for a sealed copy... and that was cheap lol 😔
It's on PSP as well
Bald Bloke: For the PS2 version?
Sam: Oh, I didn't know about that one. Eh, I feel like you'd rather have the Wii or PS2 over that one though.
@@luliby2309 yeah PAL version ps2
Wow, you made out like a bandit! Which is crazy to say for a game costing you 90. XD
I bought a Vita TV just to play Book of Memories and It's one of the few Vita games that don't work on Vita TV
You lost me before minute three with all of the rules and all of the little addendums to the video too much
The apartment owner in 4 IA James Sunderland's father.
sh4 had a good concept personally I liked it
personally i think the first 2 games are perfect 10/10 i can't decide which one i like better while 2 easily has a better and more complex story the atmosphere of 1 is something really unique i've never seen before
Agree 100% and with time passing I find myself prefering 1. Even got the soundtrack on vinyl recently.
@@E1N101 same lol, and my fav soundtrack now is "Tears of.." from the original silent hill
