Happy to hear all sound like British siren. but here VicPol don't have same sounding wail and yelp...:( Do you remember when we had a unique Uzgralian wail sound that was for Fire trucks but also police used it and sounds so weird hearing police with a fire truck siren lol the yelp and wail were really high pitched. Nice to hear from a viewer who identifies as female! According to RUclips analytics, only 13% of my viewers are female, and I suspect most of those are little boys using their Mum's or Nana's accounts! 😄
Thanks! I heard that siren off in the distance from my backyard. I've only seen it used twice since, on a marked Skoda and an unmarked dog ute, I'm hoping to get a video eventually! 🤞
I had to go find the file on a hard drive. I hope "20210819_171506" is specific enough! I think someone told me its an arson squad unit. I don't know if that's correct or what was happening that day, but it wouldn't have been a bushfire at that time of year.
@@DawesyD Haha cool! 😄 I think my wife caught you once while I was driving, but vegetation in the median made the video unusable. Coincidentally, I think it was the Boxing Day fire, I caught another follower responding that day too 😄

Whats up with these police running low profile tires with showy aluminum wheels? Low profile tires are only good for cornering at extreme speed and are nothing more than glamorous accessories. Those rims will shatter on a curb at speed with low profile tires. All our SFPD cars have basic steal rims and high profile tires. Its about practicality and responsible use of public funds.
Glamororous accessories? They are factory stock wheels and tyres, therefore easy to source replacements. Police package vehicles aren't available in Australia anymore, and therefore neither are police spec rims. I'd like to add, my own Crown Vic was a totally different animal on 18" alloys and Pirelli P Zero tyres, I never expected it to handle so well. I struggled to source new police spec rims and tyres when I looked...
@@stevetilbrook3402 Usually metropolitan area patrol cars were steel high walled. Usually base model Holden and Fords that came with stock steel wheels. What you see here are mainly HWP and they were always from the sports range which came stock with low profile alloys. May seem stupid but the PIT is not used here so the patrol only really needs to tail the perp. If the chase becomes too dangerous it's usually called off and the chopper tails till unit nearby nab the suspect.
@@thekiwicanuck western power with sirens? Does the elec company have there own emergency service over there? How odd, its getting pretty rare in SA too, same with vic but its still kind of common here in vic i suppose
@@shannonstaschik2086 Yes, electricity is a major hazard and WP frequently respond to power pole fires, structure fires, car vs power poles or buildings, trees down on lines etc. They did have a fleet of Nissan Patrols with the LTS, which have been replaced by Ford Rangers, search my channel for vids!
In the 80s when I was in Perth many times, I would get the nose in the air treatment for being from what they called over there, an "easterner"! "Oh you're from the eastern states!" They would blame all crime including graffiti of the local toilet block on easterners. I wonder who they blame now?
This channel is most definitely the best emergency response video channel on RUclips and in Australia

Australian police like to ride that Ford Ranger pickup like the way South African police have.
Nice catches, its interesting to see that the most TE vehicles arent equipped with those matrix boards unlike that commodore at 0:45
True, I don't recall ever seeing one used...
I have seen a Kia Stinger have the matrix board on it, idk what they use it for, maybe escorts.
@@danielwest1589 They did use them for escorting buses from the airport to the quarantine hotels.
