Great compilation - I love all the VAG vehicles the PSNI uses - even better than that, I love the fact that the video is based on where I am from.
Can't wait!
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice catch! But honestly, those "slick" Skodas - IMHO very bad warning light package, almost invisible.
The unmarked Superbs down here are more visible!
The light package is supplied by Whelen during production. The trajectory of the lighting is shockingly bad - but nowhere near as bad as the unmarked Ford mondeos they use over here - the blue lights are basically non-existent on them!!
@@darryl_quinn Thanks, understood. Actually I'm not surprised, Whelen just used what was left in storage. Just, if I don't use ramp on top, then I want to use something powerfull in front, something people will notice.
I remember when the PSNI used white skodas
Armoured cars generally dont have light bars on the roof incase there damaged i believe
Good to see the newest vehicles back home. Cheers...
What's up with them now fks ,late for their FuLL English !!
Those marked Skoda wagons with no lightbars (aka slicktop cars) should have had more visible exterior-mounted & windscreen-mounted LEDs.
All police light packages for the Skodas are supplied by Whelen - the minimum safety standard for blue lights fitment in NI is 4 visible at the front of the vehicle (regardless of place) and 2 on the rear (regardless of place). There is a fair possibility that the slicktops were part of Undercover Armed Response Unit at some stage but later became marked slicktops. All of the slicktops seen in the video are fully armoured, bulletproof glass, etc.
Hope that clears a little bit up.
Them armoured police skoda superb cost £100k each
This is northern Ireland known for blody battles
The lighting on those armoured Skodas is very poor!
Agreed! Very easy to miss, especially in daylight.

Well spotted! That's what I was waiting for to take off! Believe it went up in a compilation of other emergency vehicles
Interesting. But who is responsible for these cars? The big Skoda's have almost no blue and the Landrovers seem to belong in a museum.
Land rovers are cool
Why do some of the police cars seem to not have any light bars on the roof?
They are armoured and designed as a slicktop version, i.e. no lightbar.
Do you know why some of the marked Skoda estates have blue lights on the roof and some do not ?
Fuck knows.
The armoured ones don’t have lightbars on the roof
The ones without were originally unmarked vehicles & changed to marked for a more high visibility presence. They're also armoured.
lovely u know any police cars with a vama
I've also recorded Police Cars responding In My hometown I will upload the video tomorrow
Nice video but why oh why oh why do the armored sodas not have a light bar on them
Just a redesign essentially - know as a slicktop with the unmarked light package supplied by Whelen. I think the lightning trajectory is abysmal - very easy to miss - even at night!
Honestly how is anyone meant to move over for anything with that little lights, and what on earth is the point of putting all those markings on a car with 4 grill lights
Is this SAS
Such a shame that they still have to use those landrovers
And northern Ireland police
?
