In "5 Ambush Encounters", it starts with rieklings bursting out of barrels, and, for each subsequent encounter, he comments about how each ambush would've been better if the assailants had been hiding in barrels. It became somewhat of an inside joke meme among viewers of the channel, coming to an apex with "Top 5 Barrels", solidifying barrels as more of less the channel mascot in a way-- a recurring theme. Edit: I thought that this might be relevant information: 5 Ambush Encounters's Top Comment "Top 5 barrel locations" - Username redacted A The comment has 1786 likes. I have two main theories regarding Falion and what's going on in the swamps. This first one is a bit of a stretch but with a little imagination, my theory makes sense. I think the summoning circle actually has something to do with Vaermina. If my lore is correct, it was her that knew the cure for vampirism and taught it to someone in a previous game. Agni has bad dreams about Falion "creating monsters" in the swamp. Joric has visions and somehow knows Falion is up to something, but either doesn't know exactly what or can't remember his own visions. Vaermina steals memories and is also known for having the most terrifying nightmarish daedra in her realm. I think Falion is communicating with Vaermina or some sort of daedra related to her. Maybe he started something he can't contain and the Jarl begins following him after you report him because she figures out what's going on and wants to help, while still keeping the town blissfully unaware. Or maybe there's just something going on with the town Falion is working on fixing. Theory number two: It would also make sense that Falion is communing with Molag Bal since he knows a cure for vampirism and there's an extremely powerful vampire living in a cave not far from town and thus brings the area itself closer to Molag Bal's sphere of influence. Pay attention to the events surrounding Alva and Laylette. They were both turned into vampires outside the town in the swamp. Movarth is an extremely powerful vampire, so why not just turn invisible and sneak into the houses of the people of Morthal and slowly turn everyone into vampires over night? No one would have seen it coming since even the Jarl herself thought he was destroyed long ago. Falion, an expert on vampirism, says he's protecting the people of Morthal even if his efforts go unnoticed. So why wouldn't it be possible that Falion is using his magics to keep Movarth and his clan of vampires at bay and keep the townsfolk safe by appeasing Molag Bal in some manner? So how is Alva able to enter the town and walk amongst the living? Surely Falion of all people would take notice of a vampire walking around the streets of Morthal. Well, maybe since Alva was a member of the town before Falion made his pact with whatever daedra he's communicating with to keep the town safe, she's immune to the invisible barrier or what have you that keeps Movarth from entering the town. Movarth found a loophole in the spell and turned Alva into a vampire so that she could be his instrument in taking over the town.
I have a theory that Jarl Bulgruf will become high king of skyrim. I mean, it can’t be ulfric cause you have the option to kill him if you join the imperials. Thus, even if you join the stormcloacks and Ulfric lives, he probably won’t be high king either way. So, my theory is that Bulgrulf marries Jarl Elsif. If he is dethroned when you join the stormcloaks, he flees to Solitude with the other jarls. Thus, he marries her then and becomes the new Jarl of Solitude. OR, he can just marry her if you joined the imperials and he then gains the vote of the empire either way. HOWEVER, it was said by his son that he secretly worships talos and he hates the elves. SO my conclusion is that, regardless of the outcome of the civil war, Balgruf marries Elsif, becomes high king voted by the moot and unites skyrim with the empire but also allows Talos worship to be allowed :)
Paarthurnax being evil is one of those theories I can’t get behind. He explained himself that dragons are inherently destructive but he spent many centuries meditating to combat this nature, a dragon who was plotting to overthrow Alduin has no reason to do this because we’ve seen that the likes of Durnehviir and Odahviin can be civil but they don’t go against their natures as dragons. When Paarthurnax ‘left’ (because he’s ,,, still there when you go back to the Throat of the World lmao) with the other dragons, it was those spare few, much like Odahviin who’s loyalty to Alduin was already wavering before the Dragonborn came along. Although Odahviin doesn’t really have much faith in Paarthurnax’s peaceful ways, he respects strength and this is why he became the Dragonborn’s companion after defeating Alduin. Also, Paarthurnax confirmed himself that he was deeply saddened by Alduin’s death even though he knew it was a necessary sacrifice - this doesn’t mean he agreed with Alduin’s need for destruction or enslavement of mortals, but that he has compassion, showing that at one point he and Alduin were brothers. Paarthurnax had no need to overthrow Alduin, it was you who pressed him for answers and to tell you the shout needed to defeat him, it went against his newfound nature to fight anyone or anything. At worst, Paarthurnax would’ve just sat by and done nothing while the world was ravaged by Alduin, perhaps even be killed by Alduin as he was seen as a traitor. Just leave the dragon to sit on his mountain dammit, why are you doing him dirty like this.
I've got one. When you go back to learn dragonrend, you see Alduin cast out by Felldir the Old. Specifically he says "We shout you out from all our endings unto the last." Interesting phrasing there, since that would probably mean "when everyone who witnessed this is dead" which isn't a great eternal banishment spell. But maybe "all our endings" means the end of their bloodlines instead, which is way more likely to be eternal. And I do believe that someone dies just before we hear Alduin roar; Lokir, from Rorikstead. The descendant of Hakon One-Eye or Felldir the Old, and the last of that bloodline, the one remaining barrier to Alduin's return.
How about this one, Graenolf - Skyrim and Fallout are set in the same universe. Evidence: the experimental plant known as 'NRT' found in Fallout 4 looks suspiciously similar to the irritating screaming Nirnroot we all know and love :P EDIT: Just watched Graenolf's 'Top 5 Fallout 4 fan theories' video for the first time and he totally already covered this one. My bad... :P
I have a weird theory where Jarl Balgruuf and Jarl Ulfric where childhood friends being the sons of jarls and both have a deep connection/pride with their nord traditions and culture. That all changed when the grey beards announced that they were looking for a child to train to eventually become another grey beard. All of the prominent youth of Skyrim would make the journey up the steps and present themselves for the grey beards to choose. This would be a great honor to the family and person of whoever was chosen (as Balgruff said that he once made the journey and we know Ulfric was supposed to be a grey beard himself) Balgruff would have been very envious when the grey beards chose Ulfric over him, beginning a rift between the two. Of course we know Ulfric left the monastery to join the great war where he eventually would have met up with Balgruff. Balguff would be enraged that Ulfric could throw away the great honor that was bestowed on him, seeing it as in insult to their culture. That anger and jealousy that Balguff had would only get worse after the war when Ulfric used the power of the voice to challenge/murder (depending how you see it) High King Toreg. And then had the audacity to claim the title of High King. As we know Balgruff is a true nord and is very educated and close to his nord beliefs, but we also know that he decided to side with the empire no matter what. I believe it was something personal that Balgruff had against Ulfric that made him choose the other side. Balgruff hates the elves and probably hates the white gold concordant that they all fought against. But in the end perhaps Balguff saw Ulfric using the power of the voice to usurp power for himself as the ultimate insult to their nord beliefs and knew that if Ulfric was a true nord himself perhaps he would have stayed in high hrothgar. If you read all of this you deserve a cookie
I've never heard that specific bug in a jar theory before! It's really good though, definitely adds a new perspective to the whole thing, and it's pretty well thought-out.

The Paarthurnax theory is kind of shot down by the fact he says to you that he wants to try to get other Dragons to follow the Way of the Voice. Odahviing even chimes in saying "ha, good luck with that, Parthy."
It's no secret that the Hero of Kvatch is Sheogorath. That was the whole point of Shivering Isles. By ending the Greymarch, he mantles Sheogorath who turns back into Jyggalag.
omg yes a new skrim video, i.put all your skyrim top 5s on before i go to sleep , ive been doin it for a while now.these videos help a lot.with anxiety
I honestly don't care if Paarthurnax, He is one of if onto the only people that is genuinly kind to you treating you with a level of respect. He's not a push over mind-you but He treated me with respect. I would join him in forcing the world of man and mer to yield under the talon of the mighty dragons.
I personally believe with the whole Maiq thing that he's probably not a God, but rather a kind of Watcher employed by the Divines or Daedra (or maybe a Divine or Daedra who shapeshifted into a Khajiit) who was tasked to keep an eye on the prospect "hero" of each major event in Tamriel. It would explain why the protagonist of every game encounters him. He's on a quest of his own to ensure the "hero" does their thing, and report if something fails. Kinda like a scout of sorts. I've had this theory ever since Oblivion, tbh, when I saw him there knowing for sure I remembered him from Morrowind. Then when I saw him in Skyrim and ESO, it kinda just confirmed it in my head. He's ALWAYS somehow in the same province that the protagonist is when a crisis is occurring. I think that's probably a theory that could be concrete if more can investigate.
The emperor was expecting the Dark Brotherhood to try and assassinate him because there was an assassination attempt less than a day beforehand! Who came up with this theory?
Also added to the fact that Emperor Mede was a false emperor he probably knew that fate would eventually catch up with him and his false reign would come to an end
How is he a false Emperor? Is it because he doesn't have dragon blood? If you played oblivion or even watched the ending you find out that the amulet of kings is shattered and you know longer have to have dragon blood and light the dragonfires to keep the daedra off Nirn. There is nothing that states you have to have dragon blood to be a true emperor. Heck most of the Septim dynasty aren't even descendents of Tiber septim because his son died without an heir so Tiber's niece became Empress which eventually Pelagius the mad then his wife Katariah who was not even a septim and was a Dunmer and her rule was considered to be the greatest in the history of the empire since Tiber himself. As I have shown, you don't need to be a septim or have dragon blood or be a septim to be emperor.
You should watch Camelworks latest video on the bugs in jars. He asked actual game devs if the jars mean anything and they confirmed they don't! The artist did the writing on the lids wanting it to be part of a quest and the devs said no! The writing got left there. Also, Paarthurnax isn't evil. He has meditated on The Way of The Voice and leaves to get other dragons to do the same! The reason you are still attacked by dragons is because they are still loyal to Alduin.
Your content has taken up the majority of my recommendations for the past like year and I apparently haven't subscribed until right now so I have no idea how that happened
Sheogorath also mentions something about Martin Septim and the whole "turning into a dragon thing" (when Martin became the avatar of Akatosh, which only the player and High Chancellor Ocato witnessed).

I don’t know about any of you but the bugs in jars double or pentagon in a circle immediately reminded me of the nationwide transmutation circle from fullmetal alchemist, and one of them was even found in an alchemists shack.
The fact that we see the champion of cyrodil become sherogorath, that makes the theory so powerful, and I can't be possible that he gave the mantle up to someone else, after all, it's only been 202 years.
@Graenolf Hey you ever gonna do the top 5 general tulips facts I asked you to do after all you did Ulfric Strom cloak it's ' only fair you do the opposite side of the wars point of view
The way you put it for the emperor assassinating himself actually actually makes sense for once, when I first heard this Theory I thought that it was the dumbest thing ever, because the motierre family have always been this conniving.
5:47 the bugs in a jar mystery has been solved. An employee at Bethesda said it was part of a quest that was scrapped but they didn’t have time to change the models so the runes stayed there
Imagine going through all that trouble for that last theory only to activate the tower stone and have nothing happen. The disappointment must have been crushing.
For the first theory another piece of evidence is that in one of the vanilla Skyrim loading screens it flat out says and I quote "Once, dragons sought to eliminate or enslave all mortal races. If given the chance they would surely do it again..." (The three dots are part of the quote not added in cut out a section)
The end of the world theory honestly makes sense to me because in tarot the tower card sometimes refers to a disaster coming your way and the tower stone is in the middle
Oh btw just in case you didn't know the bugs in a jar actually don't mean anything at all it was a scrubbed quest idea and they just didn't take the time to remove the symbols on the lids of the jars
You know every time Nazeem says "have you been to the cloud district lately? Oh I'm sorry, of course you don't." it makes me want to rip him apart and spread his remains farther than the bug jars

That be a fantastic theory!
The only trouble be:
Naaslaarum and Voslaarum are the two Dragons in the forgotten Vale. The Dragon in Blackreach is named Vulthuryol.
Maybe they were slaves to the Snow Elves before they became Falmer?

Cheers! Figuring that out to way to long... 3X
Yeah every dragon shout or name is 3 words.
But, miraak actualy has a shout with 4 words as some point.
Don't remember where or what he says tho.
But that would mean that there is somewhat of a way to shout 4 words of power.
But no dragons can?
Only miraak ?
See, that is something i've been trynna figure out since i first heard him.
Bethesda designers already said that the bugs in jars were an early concept and that wasn't finished
Well said I thought I was gonna have to drop some knowlege on these turds. Haha
aww fuck i posted this same thing before reading down the comments

it just doesn't mean anything . get that thru your head. it was part of a quest that didn;t even get implemented.

Well, just because M'aiq is inmortal (if he really is inmortal) it doesent mean that he's a god. Maybe he made a pact with a daedra in exchange for eternal life. Or maybe he's making clones of himself and tranafering his counciousness/soul into these new bodies, and that's what he means when he says that his father and his father's father where also named M'aiq. Or maybe he's telling the truth, for a change.
Perhaps M'aiq is a servant of Hermaeus Mora?
Or hes a secret vampire.
Inmortal?
@@ReroutedYearAD well, he seems to reappear over and over throughout the ages, so it comes to reason that he might be immortal. true, he implies they are many people with the same name, but he is known as "the liar" so we can be forgiven for doubting his word.

That moment when you find out that all the bugs in jars are actually just items that were used in a cut quest of the game
@Dio Brando the quest was never elaborated on in depth, but Camelworks has a video about it and he actually got to talk to a Bethesda employee and they told him it was supposed to be used for a quest but they never got to finish it due to time constraints
@@ahhhaaron God damn these game producers and having so much stuff they put in the game and release them with so much cut content and parts from them still remaining! Why not just delay the release until they finish everything, or work to finish one thing at a time so there isn't remaining things they never finished?

I'm partial to the theory that you, The Last Dragonborn, are the reincarnation of Tiber Septim/Talos or, at the least, are mantling Tiber Septim/Talos.
When are you going to stop playing with God?
Obi wan out here dropping theories
Jovantay Zyx Shor and Talos are both aspects of Lorkhan.
I have a megalomaniac Nord character that thinks he's Talos reincarnated and is gathering political and popular support in order to challenge Ulfric at the Moot, kill him the old way and be crowned High King... before going south to reclaim the throne of the Empire.
I'm a redguard tho xd
M'aiq the Liar is actually Todd Howard
Yeah, and I think the Sleeping head is the writer of the books, the Aedra are the developers, and the Daedra are the players, meddling and mocking the developers for creating elder scrolls yet can't help their curiosity and keep playing

A-another Skyrim video?! It's been so long... So very long since I heard the velvet and dulcet tones of My Lord of OYFUM touch upon this series so close to mine heart. And fan theories as well? Ah, I am in Sovngarde, brothers and sisters.
Katie Summers yes you are right but can you help me figure out what is with Oyfum? I'm pretty new and I'm not sure which videos pertain to it
Kathy Aird I can't find the original video, but basically he made a weird exclamation one time (Oyfum) and we all thought it was hilarious so he started using it as a running joke.

I'm pretty new to this channel, can someone help me figure out what is with Oyfum and barrels? Specifically, which videos mention them.
Kathy Aird I'm new too, and I have no idea.
Uh barrels are an inside joke, because he made videos of top 5 Barrels, and I haven’t stuck around enough to know what Oyfum is
In "5 Ambush Encounters", it starts with rieklings bursting out of barrels, and, for each subsequent encounter, he comments about how each ambush would've been better if the assailants had been hiding in barrels.
It became somewhat of an inside joke meme among viewers of the channel, coming to an apex with "Top 5 Barrels", solidifying barrels as more of less the channel mascot in a way-- a recurring theme.
Edit: I thought that this might be relevant information:

Willem van der Decken you look like my dead grandmother.
Vivien Clausen the second theory seems more reliable
Or perhaps he has been curing other vampires who seek the cure, since the ritual must be done in the early morning, so they are meeting him at night.
Aldo Frakulla Were it so easy...
Miss Alcoholic There is so many things wrong with this...
If only that were the case :v Out of all the Jarl's he's my favorite one :v Hell, he has this Dragonborn's vote already :v
Seem some what accurate, nice theory
In Mephala's Quest original Script his son would murder him
Paarthurnax being evil is one of those theories I can’t get behind.
I cannot refuse or deny the peculiar theory of our dear narrator...
Evidence: the experimental plant known as 'NRT' found in Fallout 4 looks suspiciously similar to the irritating screaming Nirnroot we all know and love :P
EDIT: Just watched Graenolf's 'Top 5 Fallout 4 fan theories' video for the first time and he totally already covered this one. My bad...

I've been watching this channel since before Oyfum... and I forget it's origins. However it's so ingrained now... possibly in the side of a barrel that I wait every episode for some random reference to it. Madness is contagious. Like pentagrams.
Also Paarthurnax is still on top of the mountain if you go back later on with Odahviing circling the mountain peak.
It's nice seeing your channel getting the traction it deserves. Good job man

M’aiq is the Mane of the legend? Immortal Mane?
In the Elder Scrolls Online you can find one of M’aiq’s ancestors graves. Though you find it in a plane of oblivion. Very strange
But why did that milk drinker of an emperor not flee as soon as he found out?
BetaDanU technically everyone thinks the dark brotherhood was destroyed by the Penitus Oculus. No one on the boat expected you but Titus Mede did
Uriel Septim had the dragons blood which was apparently meant to give visions of the future as well as being a potential dragonborn
As I have shown, you don't need to be a septim or have dragon blood or be a septim to be emperor.
the absolute best skyrim channel on youtube. hands down
I’ll join your band now Graenolf
You should watch Camelworks latest video on the bugs in jars. He asked actual game devs if the jars mean anything and they confirmed they don't! The artist did the writing on the lids wanting it to be part of a quest and the devs said no! The writing got left there. Also, Paarthurnax isn't evil. He has meditated on The Way of The Voice and leaves to get other dragons to do the same! The reason you are still attacked by dragons is because they are still loyal to Alduin.
Dragon flies will turn into massive dragons in jars in the next game. This theroy is full proof :)

The fact that we see the champion of cyrodil become sherogorath, that makes the theory so powerful, and I can't be possible that he gave the mantle up to someone else, after all, it's only been 202 years.

The way you put it for the emperor assassinating himself actually actually makes sense for once, when I first heard this Theory I thought that it was the dumbest thing ever, because the motierre family have always been this conniving.

5:47 the bugs in a jar mystery has been solved. An employee at Bethesda said it was part of a quest that was scrapped but they didn’t have time to change the models so the runes stayed there
its been confirmed the bugs in a jar is just left over content from an unused idea
Imagine going through all that trouble for that last theory only to activate the tower stone and have nothing happen. The disappointment must have been crushing.
That last theory sounded like a kind of theory video Nigahiga would make as a joke but in this case it actually makes sense
For the first theory another piece of evidence is that in one of the vanilla Skyrim loading screens it flat out says and I quote "Once, dragons sought to eliminate or enslave all mortal races. If given the chance they would surely do it again..." (The three dots are part of the quote not added in cut out a section)
I died laughing at the "I'm giving you a few seconds to leeeaavvve if you want but you probably won't"
4:45-4:52
the theory of m'aiq being a god had me like
nope nope nope for every word you said :D
The end of the world theory honestly makes sense to me because in tarot the tower card sometimes refers to a disaster coming your way and the tower stone is in the middle
Oh btw just in case you didn't know the bugs in a jar actually don't mean anything at all it was a scrubbed quest idea and they just didn't take the time to remove the symbols on the lids of the jars
You know every time Nazeem says "have you been to the cloud district lately? Oh I'm sorry, of course you don't." it makes me want to rip him apart and spread his remains farther than the bug jars
I just rewatched this while playing Skyrim and I found m’aiq right after his part
That whole pentagon conspiracy was really cool
“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” has no affect in Skyrim 😂
No idea why your videos get so many dislikes. They're very well made, not overdone, perfect length, and to the point.
What if M’aiq is a Time-Traveller. He came from the future to see the legends of Tamriel’s past.
