You could tune that carb so much better. Wheelies all day long with the os carb. I could do it with the stock carb, but it was so inconsistent. I couldn’t get it to stay tuned. Finally the engine wouldn’t run at all. It happens alot. Guys chalk it up to a bad motor but, it’s the carb on it. With the os, there is a huge difference. No more run on and on engine after letting off the throttle. Great video my friend.

I’d wish Traxxas would come out with a Tmaxx 4.0. It should be 1 inch wider and a 1/2 inch longer than a current Maxx V2. Please also have it with a quick release body. Price should be $499. I’d promise to buy one for me and another one for my son. Come on Traxxas, one for your heritage. The Tmaxx is what put you guys on the global scene.
Just bought O.S. 11k carburetor today so should be here next week. Going to try it out when it get here. Getting tried of TRX plastic carbs. Don’t hold a tune and difficult as well. Its good to use as standard but time to upgrade

That’s the same problem i have to with my TRX carb. Is it doesn’t snap back to idle when you coast it. Im hoping it fixes all my problems with my New Tmaxx 3.3. Wish Traxxas Fix the carbs
11k is what I run. Excellent upgrade. Now upgrade to a 3 shoe aluminum clutch. You will be blowing stock clutches like no ones business. Trust me I know lol.
Think from now on when i get new Traxxas Models like Tmaxx or Revo or Jato ill break in the engines with the stock one. Then once that’s done. I’ll switch out the carb to O.S. 11k and the Avid race ceramic’s.
so i have the same truck revo 3.3, i found a supercharger kit i was gonna install along with that 11k carb. my question is have you dabbled with that super charger and how big of a difference does it make?
Super charger kits do mot work with two strokes as effectively as they do on a four stroke engine. Its a waste of time to be honest, just going to cause more of a headache

My carb used to be incredible. Never required any constant tuning, had so much low end I couldn’t keep the front wheels down. Now, after sitting for years, I cleaned it all out as I didn’t prep it for storage properly, and I’ve only been able to get one short drive out of it. Haven’t really been able to get a decent idle but perhaps once. I’m taking this info damn seriously. I don’t know what happened to it while sitting, I cleaned it out well, it just keeps being a complete bitch!
@@GoFastRC thanks bro, I had it running, then it nearly ran out of fuel, so I stopped. Left all as it was, went out two days later, and I had an electric malfunction. Weird shit! And I’ve barely been able to get an idle since. I put in a new OS glow plug, those are all that I use, and it started right up. But inside my apartment it can get REALLY SMOKY, so I killed it. Haven’t got it started since. Also I’ve been searching for that OS carb, there is a link another commenter posted that sold it for about $65, and that’s the best I’ve found yet. Any hints aside from AMain?

The air filters are from Motor Savers, they are really nice cause they flow better than stock and they have 3 layers. Out screen, outer element, then a inner element. Totally worth the buy along with the carb.

I put the 11k on my T-maxx 3.3 and yeah it definitely improved, but after it gets hot it won't wheelie as much. I just upgraded to the os21tm as it's a better overall engine with more low end torque which I'm looking for.

@@GoFastRC ok i see yeah as much as i like to use the underdog in relation to engine choices or be different at the least, nitro engines regarding modifications im not familiar with at all, had thoughts about if porting and polishing is possible and found it is but greatly different from what im familiar with( automotive engines ) so probably gonna go with os 21tm however ive seen so many os21 variants why is 21tm only used for tmaxx/revo ?? Guessing something regarding mounting in without any modifications or along that path ?? Traxxas engines for the most are decent entry-level engine to have fun, but if you're into power and ways to make it quickly see limitations, still wondering if the Traxxas tuned pipe is worth buying or something like dynamite or is there any difference noticeable with factory engine ?

Idk 🤷♂️ I have never tried it before, but I hear they are good. I would think the OS is a better constructed carb that tunes a bit better. But I am not 100% sure on that, again I have never tried them.

Im actually using a traxxas plug in there. With trx engines they will always run warm. If its temping around 250-240 your good. If its 260-270 then you might have issues else where. Like drag in the drive train or dragging brakes.

Did a simple tear down over night and looked over clutch shoes springs bearings, ez start system and seen no issues but cleaned it up nicely, not too sure but when I have a chill idle I remember that I heard sputtering like the one way bearing on the starter sounded grabby like it was catching it, could it be the clutch engagement or any other reasons why I'd hear other noises while it's idling or off throttle rolling and sitting. I'm sorry if this is written strange, it's just that this has been an issue for some time and not pleased with it's rattling. I should just be hearing engine and exhaust right? I swapped a losi 3,4 carb on it and it really performed similarly to your carb upgrade so that's what I've been trying to match the pitch of the motor from. I know it's not the transmission because before I put it up I had to reassemble the two speed I backed out my screw a little far and had several other issues happen, brake pad fell off clutch pad fell off so I upgraded to aluminum that made me put my tune all out of whack because only two shoes were grabbing smh. Such ridiculous things to happen and a new wouldn't realize 😅 but I'm learning every time I touch it and I won't give up. I hope to have my nitro running clean and spicy like yours 😁🤘
Tbh idk, it was on my dads truck then he gave it to me. It would also change depending on your climate and elevation. But Ik it’s not to far from the box stock tune.

You might want to buy a new exhaust spring. As well as get a new set screw.

How do you get it to fit? Mine goes right to the spur gear no way to get a sitter filter on.. Stock ones anyway.
I had to wiggle mine and kinda finesse it into place. It took a while but eventually I got it.

How do you get the OS11K carb fit? I tried using the 3.3 carb arm on the os 11K because it’s a little longer. But I’m still having issues with it opening/ closing properly
