Probably one of the most helpful videos I have ever watched. I am hoping to have an idle like yours once I take what you said in this video into the field for tuning. Golden advice sir.
Live Life is right, heating up your motor to around 210-220 is what saves your motor and will fire immediately. I saw where your motor was running 300+ degrees. That’s not good. It was for sure overheating badly. The temp sensor was in the right place to begin with. I recently bought one of these batches of Revo’s and it did the same thing with the high temps. Come to find out I had an air leak where the ez start bolts to the motor. After I tightening the screws to the ez start temps dropped to normal. Took me forever to figure that one out. Ez start was just a hair loose enough where the rubber o- ring wasn’t sealing to the backplate of the motor. Like each screw was maybe a quarter turn too loose where it wasn’t sealed sucking air making the motor overheat to 300+ degrees.
Just bought a used Revo and am going down the yt rabbit hole...I saw your pocket thermometer thing and had to pause to see what brand it was so i could get one...rip RadioShack
It is lean. The low speed needle does not fit to the Seat. I have modifie the Seat and the needle. You must ritchen the engine on hi speed. Therese are no smoke on the Long run. IT is hard to hear your konklusjon.
For umteenth time, Traxxas temps are without a doubt off. See the telltale smoke, listen to the throttle response and rpms. It's def not lean and hot. I'm just trying to match up the temps closer to read right...
@@chilly7261 no i wusnt saying anything about your tune, im not hating on anything so dont take it the wrong way, i wus just sharing an opinion you dont have to listen to anything my friend, just sharing =] i just did a revo big block build on my channel if ur curious to check it out, also i wus thinking of gettting a gas plane to add to the collection if u have any suggestions
@@PopesterRc Gas or nitro? Check out Extreme Flight planes. I have a 57" electric Extra 330SC. Their models are gorgeous. They have some sweet gasoline powered planes!

I’m having the same problem with my revo overheating since new and can’t figure it out. I’m going to try your fix
Thanks

Love the sound of nitro trucks!
Great video…. I’m only finding out you can get 3 different ratios… short, standard and wide!
Thank you!
Beautiful tune! Thing screams!
Amazing truck!
You’ll be doiing forward only optidrive has issues
So glad I have push button start on my one,
Nice running wheelies Keep it up
Pun intended? Lol
@@chilly7261 yup
The temperature gauge in your trexxas link app is it in celsius or Fahrenheit ?
what camera are you using ? Vids look so great!
When you heat it up with a heat gun before hand it will start up almost immediately.
Great video knowledge
When you set the low speed needle do you still have to adjust at times do to the elements of the weather
Use your temp probe where the temp sensore was original monted. You Will vind out ....

Thank you
that slipper is super loose tighten it up and it will sound a lot better
Do you think so? I haven't considered that at all. I'll certainly try it, next summer of course. Thanks for the tip...
You are wrong sir. The temp is correct at the head where the glow plug is.
The hottest part of engine area is at the top of the case where the head bolts down so move the wire back where it was. Stop thinking you know better.
@Chris Sap I was probably having too many cocktails when I wrote that.
u put the wire at the coolest part of the motor

My traxxas has no reverse to begin with, I never knew it was a thing
My servo went out. Was working at first...
id like to have reverse on my tmaxx but dont wanna pay.
You have a lot of land you should build a track I would !!!
I do have a track. There's a few videos of it on my channel...
I looked but did not see them ?
sorry neverminded I found them
Your literally not smart they want you to take the temp at the glowplug
this rc truck is juk.
Juk, huh? 😄
I think your Revo run on too rich mixture of nitro.
Rich stays running.
Rich runs strong.
You go ahead and lean yours out, I love how mine is running...
98% of the people run too lean. This revo is perfectly in the window and the idle comes right down. Well done
I hate is rc truck so so so much.
Real intelligent. Great spelling too! 🤣
Why do you hate it?
