Just scored this engine on a heavily upgraded revo I bought for parts for my existing revo. The guy installed it along with a new THS pipe and header and never even broke it in. Life got in the way and it spent many years hanging on his wall untouched. Not a bad buy for a buck-fiddy😊
Wow very impressive just take your time breaking this engine in it like to be stupid rich in the beginning and super sluggish till 1qt then it will allow you to start leaning it off
I would love to see other manufacturers to copy the force starter design so that the startshaft would not rotate all the time. It wears the oneway bearing and the backplate bushing pretty fast. Also it creates a lot of drag that eats power output which is useless to throw away. The carb on O.S engines are the best. Never throw away that one. I love the third needle that is missing on everything else. Many carbs work on full power and idle, but not between. OS works on all the throttle positions.
@@Nitro_rc_life Even 3needle does not help when the overal design is flawed 😉 It just gives additional adjustment if needed but can't fix something that is already broken.
It wasnt really OS's fault with the screws. First of all im sure they had some loctite so some heat, but regardless once you feel it that tight, you stop. It was pretty obvious that was going to happen You need to use an impact screwdriver for those tight screws like that. Thats what its made for and it wont slip off or strip anything. Just an FYI for the future..
@@Nitro_rc_life Impact screwdriver probably wouldn't of stripped it though, and if it did then not that easy though, thats all im saying. Plus there is a Japanese version of a Philip's screwdriver. I have a few and they're better than any american made metric phillips and they fit these weird sized chinese and Japanese screws on things like this and motorcycle & scooter carburetor's, all things like that.. Theyre called JIS Screwdrivers.. Look uo the Vessel Impacta. Its an impact driver built all into a regular screwdriver handle. Not as good as a full impact screwdriver but still works you can feel it moving it nice..
Im expecting my o.s. .21tm in the few days can you tell me what the size of the back plate screws are. Id like to replace mine with hex before i install it on the tmaxx! Loved the video!😁
You stripped the screws because you used the wrong driver. O.S. is a Japanese company. They are J.I.S., or Japanese Industry standard screws. The heads are not the same as a Phillips screws.
Hey should i buy a .21 tm that fits direct fit. Or should i get a .21 big block conversion kit? I have a .21 to put in my Revo. Keep up the content.💯🇱🇷🔥🫡
I went with th os on the revo because the big block conversion is more complicated. Some have to shift the transmission or shave the rear a arm. Tmaxx you can move stuff around easier
With o.s you have quality and a conversion can lead to complications but can be achieved successfully. Honestly it won't matter which way you go cause you will enjoy the build process regardless. Plus as long as your happy that's all that matters. You should join my fb group and post some of your builds. It's the same name as here
I got one still in the Box 😊 waiting on my 3.3 to blow up.
Yeah I need to buy one they look super nice
Saleme
Wow cant wait! Thanks for your help on the screws buddy!
Of course

I have struggled so hard on the 3needle carb I ended up buying a new engine that's what replaced my axial was a alpha .28 rtr

I would want it in a display case!😅

@@Nitro_rc_life Hahaha! I know!!! It sure is nice, though. Wow! 😃 I can appreciate the beauty of a machine, for sure.
What a beauty!
Yeah buddy!
Should you disassemble the engine out of the box before you run it ??
I would 💯 say yes!!!! I have found metal shaving inside brand new engines
This is one of the Best Engine to install and run in Traxxas Revo 3.3 and Tmaxx 3.3

M2.5
M2.5x10mm
It’s ok. The price is ridiculous. Theres really nothing I see to justify he price. Thats os for you.
Ola,.. Serve na T Maxx 3.3 ?
No habla espanol
Tengo un carburador os.11k, sabes cuál es la configuración de fabrica? Vueltas de agujas de alta y baja?
In the owners manual it says flush with ball link and flush at high needle body and 1 mm in on mid. I'm assuming it's measured at the slot.
MAX.21 IS BETTER an i wish i never killed mine..😎💯✌

Well it's got hexes heads in it now
to much money 374 no way ill pay for that not worth it
Other eBay sellers are cheaper sometimes you have to wait for stock

My 21TM is a direct fit, even uses the easy start.
