Total respect for Paul. When everyone of his era is out flogging old material, he continues to tour with new recordings. And he turned down a place on the honours list. Good man Paul, you are one of a kind.
Weller should be talked about and held in regard as one of the greatest musical artists this planet has ever seen.
Great to see proper bands and guitar tunes like this and what Liam Gallagher & John Squire are doing getting the spotlight. Paul continues to deliver and have an impact, which speaks volumes 40-ish years and three careers after we first encountered him as that angsty young mod in the Jam.
Paul is like a good red wine, the older he gets and the longer he makes music, the better he gets. But his band is also fantastic and I was able to experience that in Cologne in 2023.
And he has never played the game & sold out!
Can't take this song out of my head and I fucking love It.
Steve Craddock smashing it as usual
Wellers voice just gets better and better..this tune is so unique..and that requires genius..PW's back catelogue is unparalleled within the British music industry..perhaps the world.
Top class British music at it best
There's a lot of songs on 66 that vocally and song wise sounds like David Bowie's Black Star album. A few people have noticed this, and they both broke up their first successful bands to change directions, Jam, and Ziggy and the Spiders. Paul's got a son called Bowie too. Both consistently changed direction. I may not always like it, but respect it. This is my favourite from the new album.
The first single I brought was Funeral Pyre - it played and played in our old record player cabinet... 66 is doing the same thing on Spotify - everywhere I go. What a lucky world we are to have Paul Weller. Thank you. The best keeps getting better.
Absolutely awesome this & what a voice well into his 60s.....
Great song… again:) Nice changes and that guitar sound…. Yeah!!! The fact that Weller is still functioning on such a high level is a testament to his commitment to the art:) No famous oldies tour BS. Respect:)
A man. Actually singing. Who knew that was even possible anymore?
What an absolute star !
5 decades of beautiful music & stunning lyrics & sonic experiments that send me to heaven
I love this album and I love his 66🎉
Keeps on smashing it. Very Bowie like, love it.
Love this song
desde Argentina escuchando esta maravilla! excelente el tema, el sonido, la escenografía...66/10!
I always enjoy watching Paul on Jules Holland.
An amazing talent.
❤ this Master class Mr Weller & Band
the band is on fire
And I want to believe in something greater than me.
Love him so much
Great tune
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Magic
Now that’s a tune
Completely fucking brilliant, as usual.
You always make great songs.
What'll happen is when he's gone the plaudits will come out of the woodwork far too late, he's the poet of the 20th and 21st century .
Steve Craddock with a Tele :-)
💚
❤
Not bad for a icon carry on Paul
💯👏👏👏👏💪💪
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds vibe.
No puedo creer que este man siga haciendo temas de la putamadre 🤯💎💫
Sounds good and I gave it a Like but Paul Weller's never really got me too excited with his music.
Your more of a boy band sort of person then 😅😅
I totally agree,The Jam was the first band and music I ever got into way back in the 1970’s but I couldn’t get into the solo stuff like I thought I would?….dont get me wrong, there’s some really good songs but I find a lot of it a bit dreary and middle of the road etc
Town called Malice is pretty cool though🙃
@@carlrichards9333 I like all sorts of stuff mate. I see your YT channel has zero content. Do you use it just to troll?
@@71ibanez A mate of mine got me into "Wild Wood". I really like that and one or two other songs that I can't even remember their titles but, yeah his solo stuff is just a bit dull, isn't it?
Lesser men have received knighthoods
Decent this but at 66, Gallaghers knocking on, Foos getting old etc etc whee is all the rock n roll young blood?
Paul mid paced rockers Weller, give him credit for continuing to create new material, but it's not up to standard, hasn't been for a long time.
you have terrible taste
Don’t go dreary , let ya soul come out more , some good on track but na .
I wear a cross for superstition
No Palestine flag this time
Yes like he has in the live concerts but this is the BBC!
thank god for that
He never had the Jewish flag for their victims so i’m glad he got rid of that rag.
Doubtless the Beeb said no and quite right ! Cannot believe he had that flag when he toured ? I know a load of hardcore fans were hacked off bout that and understandably so. I was a mega fans for decades gigs/records/ clothing labels now to hell with him ! Wouldn't go if i had a free ticket and many i know feel the same ! ! I think most of us knew he wasn't the brightest light in the room but really ? 🙄🙄🙄
@@andyanderson3567 Definitely i know Simon Halfon was shocked
no drive, no vocal, nothing at all. just chip of alldscool music
Terrible video, an awful insult to John Lennon and George………really undermining the Beatles legacy….. why such a pointless depiction…….nasty
Where's his Palestinian flag gone
I don't think the the beeb would have allowed it:-(
