      The bitsy jig works good for me. The real small 1/8 is pretty good for pond and bank fishing where u have no idea what on but still want a jig fish. If you get tired of 3/4 jigs and cant get a bite on 1/4 go to a bitsy itll do the trick.

    Just had to go back and watch this one again. I know you're a fan of Zman stuff as I am. I didn't notice that you changed the trailer to a Grande Bass bait. I use this same Zman jig in pondscum color and I use the tail section of a Zoom Skakeyhead worm in green pumpkin with the last 1/8th inch dipped in orange dye. I barely lift it up and then drop it on a slack line. It is crazy how you can do that & they almost swallow it whole. I do spray " Bang" scent attractant in crawfish scent on it and it does the job nicely. I just had to watch this one over again

  • @noticeme777
    @noticeme777 5 лет назад +2

    These are GREAT jigs. The size catches all sizes of fish and the color options are nice. The only downside is that the hooks bend out and finding trailers that fit them can be a challenge. Other than that, I've had a blast fishing with them for the past few weeks

    • @DEBOSFishing
      @DEBOSFishing  5 лет назад +1

      Yea, great little finesse jig. Best suited on a spinning setup so you can play the fish and not bend the hooks. I really just think of it as a bulkier version of a ned rig. Thanks for watching man!

  • @buzzworth2396
    @buzzworth2396 5 лет назад

    You know how I am when it comes to finesse fishing. I am known to change it up too. I'll try other baits like Zoom original fluke for a trailer on the 1/4oz mini Chatterbait. Usually Baby bass color but I do believe in changing the presentation when it's time to change my offering. Add rattles to help find baits in cloudy water

    Nice Bass using light line and small jig. I use exposed hook
    ball head jigs with small plastic craws. Tied to ten-pound braid with no
    leader. Rig it weed less if in thick cover. Little lures catch big fish. You
    sure proved that.

    all I throw is jigs. swim jigs, casting jigs, all of it. You have to be insanely patient and slow. You won't catch a lot of fish, a lot of days you will go home without a bite or nibble. But let me tell you when you do catch one, it's massive.

    • @DEBOSFishing

    good stuff on the finesse rig Debo! I have occasionally thrown a Booyah Baby Boo jig, but I'm typically more of a Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw Tx rigged on a lighter bullet weight and a 3/0 VMC lighter wire flippin hook for my finesse rig. in my waters in W.PA they seem to like an un-skirted jig more, and it tends to get a lot thicker with the submergent grass, that the Tx rig comes through cleaner. There's DEFINITELY times the finesse rig gets it done!

      Thanks for watching! It sounds to me like you need to slightly tighten the spool tension or brakes. Also if you're casting with a lot of force, that initial burst can cause it. Try lobbing casts instead of really trying to power cast as hard as you can.

    Hey Debo do u have problems with your feeshn ponds like the moss that is subsurface , really slimy stuff , a conservation agent told me it’s from chemicals put on yards and gets in the ponds from the rains but he said it can be gotten rid of by using a certain chemical. The reason I ask is because I fish watershed ponds like the one your fishing and they allllllways get that slim in them but they hold allot good feeshin opportunities

    Debo and friends, need some advise. Just got my first finesse budget setup. And I'm breaking hooks off at the knot left and right. I'm not too experienced with open faces but the only things I can assume is my drag is either too high, or I'm setting hook incorrectly or too hard. using 10 lb braid to 6 lb floro leader as well. Used multiple knots such as palomer, uni, fishermans, etc. And I break hooks off more than I catch them. Advise on hook sets, or drag setting? Help please. Lol
