Wow! You walked up the Broadway Tunnel! I haven't walked there since I was in elementary school and living in Chinatown! I am glad you found the Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop!
I’m a new subscriber to your channel I love your Vegas vlogs love your chemistry on the passion for food thank you for the great tips to get good food 🥘 😀
WOW WEEEE .... here I sit in my studio apartment in San Francisco watching you explorer my city. What a hoot. I'm glad that you enjoyed many of your eateries. There are many great places to enjoy Dim Sum in San Francisco. Many not in Chinatown. If you want a fun eating experience the next time you visit, try a "progressive meal" on Clement Street. You can research before you arrive which places to try. Just an idea. jmo
Any recommendations you wish to share? Sounds interesting! We usually go to Mama Ji's in the Castro for dim sum, but decided to try somewhere new in Chinatown since our hotel was close to there. We love SF!
Did you walk mostly everywhere in SF and sometimes took Lyft or taxi? Just asking because I Needs to start traveling again. Places you tried tend to be close to each other?
Yes, in SF, we usually take the BART to the Ferry Building area, then walk to different places. If it's a bit far, we Uber or Lyft. Parking in SF can get either expensive, so we usually don't rent a car.
2021 Other places in Chinatown: good inexpensive dim sum Good Mong Kok Bakery....but no seating. Huge 2 Chinese BBQ meat plate over rice at Kam Po Kitchen $9. Sam Wo=great Chinese rice soup (jook), rice noodle wrapped with meats, Chinese beef stew noodle soup. And, sorry, Leopolds no longer open
I seriously love this! This also warms my heart because my dad's name is Bill and his girlfriend of 20 years is Lisa. OMG that all looks sooo goood! I lived in the bay for 1.5 years and I regret not going there!
S F pier looked so different than when I was there in the 80s Shooting sun up to sun down was like bookends to a truly yummy day. Thanks for mentioning Facebook for upcoming shows as I look forward to every adventure!!!
Yes, Pier 39 has changed over the years! SF has so many great eating options. 'Bill & Lisa's Travel Page' is the name in Facebook. Thanks for watching, Ramsey!
Their shrimp and grits blows my mind. I prefer the shrimp and grits at Brenda’s Meat and Three (same recipe, different chef). You must try the Johnny Cakes at Brenda’s Meat and Three.
I love that you guys always mention the price! Try Brown Sugar Cafe in the Ferry Building (especially the chicken and waffle). They also have a decent beignet. Haha you should have tried the buffet at the Giants eatery 😬
I’m a brand new subscriber. I fly for Delta so no wonder I like you guys! In SFO, I recommend Bob’s Donuts (specifically their apple fritter), the fresh seafood place next to Bob’s, and The Stinkin Rose!
You guys should do a clam chowder shoot-out. Make the drive to Half Moon Bay for Sam's Chowder House, my personal favorite. They're considered the best by most. Throw in The Old Clam House in SF...the oldest restaurant in San Francisco...thicker chowder but also very good. Then of course some of the Fisherman's Wharf restaurants like Boudins. That would be cool to watch! I'd be interested to see which one you guys like best.
Great idea! We've had some chowders at Fisherman's Wharf and compared a couple (from our SF vlogs), but haven't visited The Old Clam House. Thanks for the suggestion, sherri!
California is so insane with their beer prices... especially when at a brewery. Ughhh! But I must admit, I still hit up the breweries in the Anaheim area.
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Zachary Zain I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
one thing i have noticed about ABC and CBC is that even though they don't speak much Chinese, they at least know and eat real Chinese food. i think its the influence of the parents and grand parents . My kids are like this . their Chinese is very limited, but they will just eat about any Chinese dish from pig intestine to preserved tofu . i have been to SF Chinatown a few times and thought it was just a tourist trap. The Chinese food was subpar in my opinion. Like many places with a large Chinese community most off the Chinese no longer live in Chinatown and the best food is in the surrounding areas . I believe SF has 2 other " Chinatowns" outside the main one .
I admire you both!! You both are so happy and adventurous! I wish my husband was( he is a very picky eater and my kids too). If I had a chance I would love to go and try different foods in many states!😍 you too are amazing!
Watching old videos of yours for fun :) I've been to Brenda's once, San Francisco is a great little foodie city! So Lisa is Chinese right? Bill what nationality are you? I always thought Bill was Chinese & Lisa was Filipino before! I'm Vietnamese myself.
I once had the best Asian food ever in SF. Dont ask me what it was because they didn't speak English and only speak Spanish and English. Anyhow I pointed at some of the food and it was sooo good!
Blue Mermaid is the winner of some national chowder contest held many years ago. They have a sampler which allows you to taste many of the different chowders. jmo
You guys put out some great content and are great together on camera. I can see a TV network offering you your own show someday. Your really that good!!👍
Great timing with your San Fran vlog cuz we’ll be there Friday of next week just to spend time there. Thanks for the tips on where to go to eat. Oh yeah, Go Dodgers!!!
Guys, what year is this? Nobody is wearing masks. And I was just gonna recommend CHOWDERS. I love their FISH AND CHIPS and they have a CHICKEN RANCH SANDWICH that is out of this world. But the world without masks does seem like another life.
That Dim Sum place isn't the best in SFChinatown, Bill you know nothing about Chinese foods. The Tea house on Pacific is way better. Also, the bridge you mentioned that you walked thru was not a bridge, but a tunnel. If you would've asked around, there's a Cable Car very near your Dim Sum place that you could've caught It would've taken you right down to the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. San Francisco bridge. We have several bridges in the Bay Area. The 2 major ones are the Golden Gate & 2nd is the Bay Bridge.
We picked that dim sum place out of convenience of being open at the time we were there, and in the direction of our hotel. And to be honest, it was pretty good, at least to us. You're correct, B meant tunnel, and L was referring to the Golden Gate. We most always just do one takes, so do we make mistakes? You betcha! lol We also thought about taking the cable car, but opted to walk. Thanks for watching!
I love watching all your shows
Wow . The German restaurant looks amazing food
Sadly, the German restaurant has closed down.
@@billandlisa what ?? Lol 😂 really ? Man I missed out ..

You two are completely adorable!
Lisa you killed me cutting into that fish 😂the way it was wiggling with the head on it lol. It did look really good especially the way it was served 🐟
LOL, CTL! Maybe served the German way?? So nice they took all the bones out!
Enjoying these videos. I mentioned Opah fish. Aka Moon Fish. Located in HI and S America. Gotta try this fish!
Wow! You walked up the Broadway Tunnel! I haven't walked there since I was in elementary school and living in Chinatown! I am glad you found the Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop!
We did walk the tunnel! It was long, loud and windy! lol
My wife and I admire your adventures greatly. You guys are the best!
Thank you, Savinera! =)

I didn’t know there was a Krispy Creme there! The grits looked awesome! 😋 I love San Francisco ❤️ You guys are awesome!
Biggest Krispy Creme we've visited! Glad we stopped by to check it out. Thanks Debora!
Forewarned is forearmed! I had no idea they were selling merch. 😀
Brenda's soulfood
Try Scomas next time you are there, it is legendary, easy walking distance from Pier 39. Fantastic seafood. Be prepared for a wait.
Thanks for the recommendation, Roger! Checked it out on Yelp, looks pretty good!
Been wanting to go visit San Francisco for a while! Great vlog!

Brenda's is great! A lot closer than NOLA in case we need our gumbo fix!
@@depechebeckas1 Sadly, Meat & Three is closed on Tuesdays, our travel day. But, glad we got to try French Soul Food.

If you ever visit Santa Cruz, the best chowder that I’ve had in my life is at Ideal Bar and Grill (better than Splash Cafe IMO)
Guys, only tourists say “San Fran”, eat at Boudin or Pier 39, or eat clam chowder.
I admire you both!! You both are so happy and adventurous! I wish my husband was( he is a very picky eater and my kids too). If I had a chance I would love to go and try different foods in many states!😍 you too are amazing!
My son took me there we ate clam chowder there it was great got it in a bread bowl
Omggg! @krispykreme is my favorite, I love that store I definitely gotta go to SF never been 😭
You might have noticed the size of the store. It used to be a HOOTERS Bar before they closed. jmo
Time for a road trip, Anna! You guys will love SF!
Yes, you have to go to San Francisco. So beautiful and the people are so nice. Lots to do for all ages

Can you please list the names of the restaurants you visited?
Sorry about not listing the names. We've been including the names and addresses of all the eating places we visit in all of our current videos.
I replayed and heard the names. I'll be in San Francisco on Saturday and I just want to try the Brenda's place! 💕
Months of June ? Or august? Maybe May ha ha
it's called the Golden Gate Bridge!
People sooo loud over there..but fiod looks great
What's tgschicken place called please?
I’m still searching for the best SF chowder. My fave so far is Blue Mermaid but the service is unfortunately consistently horrendous.
Blue Mermaid is the winner of some national chowder contest held many years ago. They have a sampler which allows you to taste many of the different chowders. jmo
We've tried the sampler from there a long time ago, it was good from what we remember.
Tell that lady, quit jawboning in the background!!! LoL!!!!
