Sour Puss Lawrence definite is a character, he has his own funny & fun personality. And its so sweet to see 2 good old time friends enjoyin good food and fun togther.
Hello friends! Here's my first video from Hong Kong over on this channel. One of our first meals was at this amazing Dim Sum restaurant and Laurence chose well. If you want to see more videos from my Hong Kong trip, check out the Hong Kong playlist on my other channel. ruclips.net/p/PL9YvA_kNlc2H0EH5JYUZk_67zgxp0lWym More Hong Kong videos coming up!!! You won't believe all the food I ate on this trip!
Laurence is so sweet! What a kind friend he is to you Shinichi. What a treat to see all the dim sum! I really enjoyed it:) I wanted to try the dessert! But it all looked wonderful!
I keep watching this video...over and over again. Lawrence should do cartoon voice overs. I love how he made the duck talk and say, "I oh so sorry." Sooo cute!!!
Cheung fan is one of my favourites too. Especially the versions with char siu in the middle or Yu Tiao (crullers) inside the rice noodle. Carb on carb is so good! 😊
All the dim sum you both ate look onolicious & I love Laurence! He's great! Don't be bothered by the negative comments...to each his own. Love watching you, Satoshi, Laurence & Vin! Keep up the wonderful work!
Your ability to get the Cantonese accent spot on is amazing Shinichi. Your Hong Kong videos are inspiring me to visit HK again. Also, definitely love Lawrence!
I was wondering what the filling was inside the bear and chicken buns! Now we know. They look so delicious; everything does! It seems like it was an amazing meal. If I could try one thing, I'd love to try the vegetables wrapped in the fried tofu skin. I have not seen that on dim sum menus before, and it is right up my alley. I love tofu so much! There are quite a few of the dishes I'd like to try to be honest, if I could magically visit that restaurant. Thanks for the great video!
Oh really? Good to know! I will look again next time I go. Thank you for telling me! :-) Maybe I just need to try a different dim sum restaurant. I'm in California - we have choices, thankfully. :-)
Erin Uber Oh BTW, there are two different dishes with the tofu skin. One is like the one in this video; deep fried with veggies. The other one is deep dried then steamed in a sauce. There are some veggies and ground pork inside that one. Just make sure first since chefs may change what stuffing they use. Tofu skin roll - Wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tofu_skin_roll It should be easy to find in Cali. I hope you find them.
That's so helpful belaralia. Thank you! I'd much prefer the vegetarian version, so I'll be sure to check. They sound really delicious! Yum! :-) Wishing you good eating! :-)
So funny, L. (He has good time, seems so happy to spend time with friends eating good food...) Some people may not get such a sense of humor but is all in good fun...
i love watching you eat your dim sum because it is my favourite food to eat and your choices are slightly different to london restaurants making these lovely bundles of flavour and texture and it was so cute how sweet you two are about biting the sweet buns faces. thanks for the usual entertaining video with the enigmatic and stylish lawrence to add to things
I've never had dim sum before but it all looked AMAZING! Those rolled rice noodles had my mouth watering! I need to try to find a place near me. I live in Maryland close to Washington, DC so there must be a place in the city. Thank you for sharing!
Trinity Li There are quite a few good dim sum places in the area! Da Hong Pao in DC is really good. Oriental East in Silver Spring and Hong Kong Pearl in Falls Church, VA are usually packed during the weekends! They won't be nearly as good as the dim sum in Hong Kong but still good nonetheless!
Soup dumplings! I love those. OMG I love love custard buns! I used to go to a casino in Connecticut that has an Bakery and I always got custard buns. Now I don't go there anymore so no custard buns. :-( and I always got custard buns. Now I don't go there anymore so no custard buns. Said face
Omg! I hope he takes you to eat street food! Curry fish balls, stinky tofu, fried pig intestines, cart noodles & egg puffs! The best dim sum dish would be taro puffs called wu kok in Cantonese.
I've only eaten dim sum from a cart. And even then, it's only potstickers, wontons and dumplings. You picked such a variety of different things. Classy dim sum. i miss Sasitoishi. He'd be fun in dim sum video. That's still a nice video with your friend Lawrence. (Don't eat yucky street food unless it's bbq or boba milk teas because that yum.)
Welcome to Hong Kong ! Glad to see your video from my hometown. Go and try the egg tart which is one of the most yummy food in HK. Hope you have a great trip.
Ack, vegetables in fried bean curd sounds like my jam! The Chinese lettuce with tofu looks good too. Yum! I'm so jealous of your dim sum meal. Laurence is such a thoughtful host. So nice of him to take time off of work to make sure you had a great vacation!
Everything looked absolutely delicious......but those rolled rice noodles! Wow!!! I LOVED when Laurence was so concerned, when you bit into the pineapple charsiu bun, and it crumbled everywhere, all while you were recording. ☺ Brother, what were those tiny little fried fish at the beginning of the video? Did you get to try them? Laurence.....you're an amazing friend and an amazing host! ❤ Thanks for this video guys!
Really nice edit. I live in the mainland so Hong Kong is such a good escape from time to time. I will be checking out more of your channel for sure. Keep it up. Peace.
My favorite dim sum is steamed bun with tausi filling (black sweet bean paste). It's shaped like little bunnies with red dots as eyes in my favorite restaurant.
Thanks for showing different dim sum ( everyone shows the samethings ). Maybe you should do some food tasting in one of the anime food resturants . ( the duck and mouse looks really interesting) 11 dishes were not much for two
Where's Satoshi . I hope he's there with you but anyway I'm jealous that you get to eat all those dim sum in Hong Kong and I can't even get dim sum in my city.
+allan fulton glad you enjoyed this video. Satoshi didn't come with me this time. He didn't really feel like going this time. I tend to have a need to travel more than he does, which is why I had to go even if on my own.
