half assed allied race and effort from Blizzard… no modeling work to make it look rocky on the whole upper body: just boring retexture. Looks plain and dull….. SHAME.
Hair: plain and DULL. Doesnt look like rock to me. Face options? BORING. not rocky just half assed recycled standard dwarf assets. Customization options: not enough. Not even the same number as the standard dwarf……

Earthen need that aspect of their racials that Undead have where they can have permanent breath underwater. Makes sense given they're rocks.

Should also make them walk across the bottom instead of swimming.
What would make more sense would be if they were just stuck at the bottom once they enter the water. Makes sense given that they’re rocks.

Given all the potential allied races I feel that Earthen is one of the laziest routes... then again it's not 'another kind of Elf' so there's that.
"kind of Dwarf" is much worse than "kind of elf" imo, elves are much more appealing and playable
I mean, if WoW’s transmogs didn’t look like absolute shit on dwarves, sure. But as it is, even I would prefer yet another elf race over this. At least then I’d be able to actually see my mogs.
Well if Harronir becomes playable, there will be an Another Kind of Elf too.

I have to agree ... i meen i do like the Earthen but they should have bin a allied race for both factions.
@@fartimusmaximus8710 Their racials do seem pretty impressive, particularly when tanking. 10% boost to base armour (for armour pieces), permanent well fed buffs for all secondary stats.

It's funny, cuz I've seen people cry about there being too many elves in WoW, so I'm curious what they'll say to yet another Dwarf race. Personally, I don't think you can have too many Elves, that is why I love Elder Scrolls so much :D

Or get panda land allies aka fish people for the alliance or monkeys for the horde. But at least Earthren racial are interesting not reskin of stone form. *Cough dark iron racial fire blood cough*

Earthen are pretty good looking, I’m going to make an earthen shaman and make it resemble a sandstone drake
I just wish they had crystalline hair and beard options. The metallic colors are alright, and the more "normal" hair colors looks out of place, but there not being any crystalline options is a very obvious gaping hole.
I am happy that the females can also have beards.
Dwarf females should also get beards.

Hear me out, mossy and leafy beards and manes. It makes sense with the unbound earthen being bee keepers that spend a lot of time outdoors. Making their mead.
They need a lot more customizations, they’re just another generic dwarf race, now the third basic dwarf race.
yeah its very recycled, also they made them both horde AND alliance so they didnt have to put in any extra effort to make a horde one
They need more short hairstyles especially for the female model, all those long hairs are gonna clip with everything, especially since they seem to LOVE collars now.

Lotta great options, but I desperately wish they'd make them more significantly bigger than the TWO dwarf races we already have. It's a great way to better distinguish them if they're covered in gear (like most will be).

I'm super excited as a horde-only player-- I've always wanted to play a dwarf while doing horde quests, and now I can!
same. but i want these new Aqir/nerubians like these voided out humanoid ones made by Xalatath maybe join us post expansion, that would be rad. and a bug race would be new. maybe they got wings as a racial, or summon scarabs, idk.

Thank you for this!! I really wasn't that excited about them at first (apart from how I'm always excited for new Allied Races, of course, the more the merrier), but I do love me some great customisation options! And seeing all of them in full like this was lovely :)
I always advocated for Vyrkul. They already have both gender models too shud be easy.
Should have been added in BFA prepatch, we had lots of interactions with them in Legion so it was the perfect time to do it.

Im a Horde player, but I LOVE the Dwarf race.
So Im super excited to be able to play them as Horde!

Just lovely, the "new" old race. But ogres, nagas, gnolls, quilboars, murlocs and many other wanted races are still missing. I think blizz are taking the player base for a joke.

Literally every race that you named has 0 chance to ever exist as playable, how do you imagine for them to remodel every last item in the game so it fits that hunchback of notre dame body build that you want so bad? NGL, eartherns are the biggest letdown of the whole expac.. i mean.. another dwarf variant? was that the safe-pick after the rather unsuccessful implementation of dractyr? a race that still waits to be fully finished? it's not about liking the winged lizards or not, but they still only can show belts and shoulders.. how messed up can a model-rig be?
people be calling out for tuskars for years, ethereals would be nice and easy to do as well, naga would be awesome in my books, same goes for that snake-race in voldun. there are so many good choices, but blizz doesnt have the guts and passion to do those properly and the dractyr show that they're lacking in that department

I like the implementation of races we have been used to over the years but I would like to see other races that aren't just another variation of elf/dwarf. Tuskarr, Broken, those spore people from WoD. I think it could get a little out of hand but we really do need a bit more variation. Or even better, greater customisation for all races. Similar to how Dracthyr have extensive customisation options on live.
Ogres is a huge one that need to happen, Centaurs would be cool, same with Naga.

If they'd add stone/crystaline beard and hair options they'd be waaaay cooler. Kinda unreal they didn't. The normal hair options look so odd
they really need to make a nerubian race, there's some super cool concept art of some bipedal nerubians with 4 arms that would be amazing to be able to play as.

I like it. I've never had much against dwarves but I never liked to play them because they're so square. These are not just a bit taller they also seem to have a bit more of a stretched model.
These beards and the decorative rings in them are way better than on the regular dwarf. PLEASE ADD THESE TO THE NORMAL DWARF! But then with normal hair. PLS!
If I'm honest, not sure I'll play them, but pretty disappointed there are zero stone looking hair and beard styles. :/

Feels like they need some kind of body markings as well. Be it tattoos or something. And man, some of the female hair styles are so much better than the males.
I like that you can essentially make a frostborn dwarf, like the guys in Northrend, if you want.
All these customizations for this new race and we're still begging to get more than five lousy customizations for Kul Tiran.
A dwarf without beard isn't a dwarf at all! And that goes for not just the men, but the women... and the children too!
I was more enthusiastic about the Dracthyr when I heard about them being the race of Dragonflight.
I hated that they were class-capped so heavily at the time, but the customization options were really cool!
With the Earthen I feel .....meh...for the people who like playing Dwarves I guess it's nice for them to having something
new for that kind of thing but they just kind of the same...like why not give them really exagerated crystal features, crystal hairs etc.
The hair to me doesn't even look like "wire" or cables or whatever it was supposed to be I dunno....I would have preferred something different.
I was hoping for a different allied race but I've always liked the earthen so I'm cool with it. I also like the fact that we get Horde dwarves. The only thing that bothers me is earthen death knight.
They look good. But sadness I never make alt short people. Since mogs dont look good.

I was not really excited for this race, until I saw wowheads pictures of the void customizations for these... Which got me super excited to play this race... but now I'm starting to think those wowhead models were "NPCs only"... 😐
The slightly larger aspect is beyond a disappointment. When it was mentioned first I had high hopes they would be human sized with a different model rigging.
different model rigging was never gonna happen unfortunately. lets hope they change a few animations at least.

The fact the earthen (aka dwarfs:the prequel) can join both factions makes me hope blizzard makes it possible for any race be able to join either faction,
it can be justified in lore as you playing a turncoat. With all the frequent teamups the horde & allyance have made to stop worldending threats, its not too far fetched.
(One thing that is lore accurate though are those female beards! Tolkein would be proud)

I dont mind allied races being races we have already i do wish they would give us the northrend Tauren though they already part of the horde i always thought they were awesome some races i want are the Vrykul but those are just giant humans
The Taunka, it would be cool if they added them as options for the Tauren like Wildhammer and Manari Draenai
Vrykul would be cool, think a mix of Wildhammer and Humans, like giant norse barbarians with cool tattoos
At this point tbey should just add a new elf race every April fools given how many of them there are.
I wonder if they will do the new beards for The Other Dwarf Races as Options. as a Dwarf Main I am all about my beards. But having the Option is a way little customization which is nice

I would prefer more customizations for existing playable races and that would include body sliders cuz it's be awesome to not have 1 body size for each race.

I know that race class combos were thrown out of the window years ago. Seems like this is just another symptom of the World of Warcraft becoming Game of Warcraft :(
Why is it on the Horde too?
there are no faction distinction anymore in the lore post BFA, now its a mix of both factions and others working together. like the Dragonscale Expedition. so really earthen "joining the horde" is choosing a capitol more than anything because its all the same in the end. and pvp is outdated in alot of ways, including in the lore. most faction grievances have been solved. look at Thrall and Anduin. why are they talking in the opening cinematic? i thought factions could not talk to each other? lol, but yeah, we are past factions now. if you dont like it, it was in W3, the alliance working with the horde, that is how they stopped Achemonde. its nothing new. but people like Asmondgold like to think it is a new woke direction not remembering that W3 ends like that and no one complained, or cared. we all love W3, frozen throne sets up the best wow expansion Wrath. so its been there the whole time. factions are outdated. and alliance are the ones who usually care about this. because they are racist in the lore. and in the player base.
Finally female dwarves can have beards. Just like Tolkien intended.
Guarantee noone is going to use it, Only a few meme players. Not even the wokest of woke lesbo feminists are going to use it

The skin and hair color are very cool but it seems lazy in my opinion. A new expansion and the introduced allied race is just like any other dwarf when gear is on.
I'll play wow again when they enable humans and kultirans for the horde...

The most exciting thing about Earthen was the data mined hand effects and void skin, which seemingly aren’t player options :\ Without those the customisation is too generic, focused on multicolour. I’d rather play Dark Iron with more lore and flavour baked in.

Just as a female and this is my personal opinion.. I wish they would come out with 2 races at one time.
Instead of just ANOTHER race that looks like a dwarf. I think they should also come out with something that appeals more to their female players.
I think the male dwarves are awesome and I love that kind of stuff, the whole Celtic and Viking thing is something I’m very into. But I don’t relate to female dwarves in any way (probably why we rarely see female dwarves running around).
The dracthyr were kinda cool but still pretty masculine. I want to see them come out with something more feminine for us girls.
