Nerfing blight is gonna really upset the wife because she loves blight and blighted corpse explosion . She doesn't play anything else . Every season... same character .
I think variety is the spice of life but she has that necro on repeat . She may rage quit .
Same as me unfortunately. Blight Necro is the power fantasy. Anything else is just something else for me. Hopefully the new uniques & legendaries in PTR proves me wrong, we will see.
D4 is all about barbs, there is no balance.

They actually have pretty decent balance. They hold a two hander in their two left hands, another two hander in their two right hands, two one-handers in their other left and right hand, and despite common misconception they're pretty agile and sure-footed for such bulky six armed warriors.

9 (4 ravens, 2 creepers, 3 wolves) companions (with +1 companion) even on amulet (+20x% per companion) = 180x% damage and they just removed it - Hahahahahaha
But they will buff skills by 2x% to compensate - Hahahahahaha This is Barblo iV and not Diablo IV. Necro nerfs across the board are also crazy.

Seems like they planned these nerf before season 4 start, predicting that the shadow necro and the minions necro would be by far the strongest class of all, sadly it’s turn out to not be true, and was already behind barb, rogue, and in some aspect sorcerer, now with the nerf and the Druid buff, kinda, I suppose that outside bone spirit the necro will tie the Druid as the weekest class, let’s see how will turn out in the PTR, but I don’t have much hopes
was thinking that, it's like they saw minions overperforming with holy bolts and somehow had the mentality that minions are still out performing the other classes atm.

The change to Mendeln should be increase to minion damage not summoning
Summoning Damage is minion damage and more - Because summoning damage also boosts army of the dead! (Summoning is everything with the summoning tag)
I was completely baffled by the balance changes when I read them. Necro is going to have exactly one viable build, bone spirit, everything else nerfed into the ground. I really don't understand the thought process, it's like they intentionally don't want balance, they want everyone playing one spec, then next season all move to another spec, and so forth
I was hoping a Blood Skill Build / Bone Skill Build with no minions on the necro was gonna be possible in season 5 and it looks like it will be.
Should be easily possible but It is also in s4 already

Necro is only murdered in the sense that shadow necro is murdered. Dude, the "standard minion" necro still wrecks and will wreck even more since some of these buffs help the standard minion build anyway. It just won't be "super ez" mode anymore in pits 100
@@johnnyboy13642the point is to have build diversity, not to funnel players into classes or builds that the Devs favor. These nerfs are just absurd. The only way Blight will survive S5 is if the updated or new uniques are vastly better to make up for these pointless blanket nerfs.

@@P4wnyhof agreed. Started playing your blood surge build after my son said D4 was on game pass and he had found your build for season 3. I’m an old D2 necromancer fan so I’m reminiscing about the council being season 5 and Mephisto for season 6.
First time I’m playing a Blight build and I worked my ass off to get it to a point where it actually does decent damage. Getting close to 2500 int too and thier capping int at 1200. So there goes my resistances and damage down the toilet on top of the Blight nerf. Unless the new or updated uniques are Godly this build in S5 will be dead in the water. Losing nearly 1300 int is going to hurt a lot of builds because you’ll be forced to drop affixes that support damage for flat resistance on gear. Ridiculous! Guess will find out tomorrow in the PTR.
Yeah I don't understand, this was actually an interesting build choice you had to make where by heavily investing into stacking int you could increase your damage, but you had to give up survivability to do it. Back to just max life on everything 😴
Same, I spent most of my time in s4 building up my ebon necro and it was the most fun I’ve had with necro since the game came out, it was very different from the usual necro and now this bs lol the only other build I like is blood surge MAYBE if it gets better s5 I’ll try it but if not then I won’t even bother with Diablo.
It seems like they’re trying to revert everyone that was using that build to use bone and minion again 🙄

Blight got nuked. It's not just the damage it's the class fantasy. Playing a shadow minion necromancer with pools of blighted ground swelling everywhere is just so much fun. Who fantasizes about an overpower corpse prison build?

I'm very interested in the new unique dagger paired with howl from below... An army of exploding minions sounds super fun and the fact that it can roll +%int can actually be pretty gnarly with an amulet with it on there. With masterwork and GA's I imagine +40% int is plausible
The problem is the one paragon that would've taken advantage of that got capped. So... not so good

Damn looks like I’m not playing season 5. All I play is shadow Necro and they ruined it so bad
we could collect a few signatures to say that we don't think it's right that the barbarian always comes first, that's not right
Not really liking the new changes at all, however am crafting a blood lance build as we speak and im stacking crap tons of critical strike damage, max life over Overpower damage percentage. Loving my shadow mage build, but im a bloodmancer at heart and finaly found a decent set of gear even since season 4 started to actually try something.
Ready to see if I can bring my blood lance build into season 5 with bone prison as a core utility behind the build that makes it work.
We found a decent blood lance build to actually clear everything especially pit 101 so iam quite happy to see overpower getting more love especially blood wave as it is my favourite skill :D

Just want to point out your comment on Shadowblight... they put a note in that they're fixing shadow double dipping too. So That's not going to be 240% down to 100%, it's 240% down to 50%.
Sir that wasn't double dipping that was shadowblight on 2 handed weapon for the normal aspect bonus

What you're thinking of is they are fixing how %damage affixes were counting as double strength for damage over time, now that won't be the case
i thought about the same scalling on that weapon , but heared about the ability got no ranks so it will not be boosted

Ughhhh… RIP Shadow wave. It was amazing at PvP and I was even speed farming 101 pits with it. Now I won’t have the damage for pits or killing barbs/druids/rogues. Feels bad. RIP wither
They nerfed minions just as fast as they did between the beta and launch. Ffs.
in my opinion hellbent is better than ever, because now you have 100% uptime in ALL you minions and don't need put your self in danger, the lost of damage is totally justificable
Ngl not really since it was always extremely stupid that you had to be close anyways thats like fixing a problem but since you fixed it gotta shafts it since now the player isnt in the path of the barrel anymore
Fixes that actually doesnt put you in line of fire you shouldnt get punished for them thinking sticking close would be bad at the release of the game
Vliz needs to add build saves so everyone else can experiment and go back to their favorite build.

I think saying "bye bye minions" was a bit harsh on this 🤣 Minions will still be good here. The nerfs to minions comes "back" with changes to for example mendeln. But shadow minions got the hardest nerf. But regular minion build is STILL strong. And takes much less grinding than the shadow build does
first time running necro and had a blast with blight, welps back to any other race. i dont like bone spear and i dont like minions

I still maintain that necro should ALWAYS have minions. The class literally should have been designed around them from the start. Sacrificing bonuses shouldnt exist.

3:35 imo please blizzard get rid of cold mages and replace them with blood so it makes since because having them all overpower is nice and all but like bro there should be a minion that overpowers naturally like blood
it would be cool if there were blood skeletons that somehow interacted with Rathma's Vigor, like helping to generate or consume blood orbs to help trigger more overpowers for you

I'm tired of us always being viable but rarely competitive with barb and rogue. They really buffed the strongest barb which is insane when the intent is "balance". One thing's for sure, I'm happy for all the traffic you're gonna get for your necro expertise. Enjoy your vacation!

These changes feel allot like I'm not playing season 5
Bad changes in the grand scheme of things imo
They killed every single shadow build, damages nerf ranges from 30 to even 75% less than before. We didn't need to kill shadow builds we needed other builds to be buffed overall
Also the change in grasping veins is a literal nerf to bone spear, bone spear got even worse with these notes, and not a single buff to the skill via anything.
They killed infinimist perma invul which i like, cause being immune to damage is bad design imo but at the same time they nerfed every single aspect of damage for that build so the build is now in F tier.
while other classes like Rogues got even more movement speed and more passive and active DR, Sorcs and Druid overall are getting way better options and more build variety without crippiling older builds too hard, Necro got the short end of the stick literally killing 75% of builds and buffing 1 build to be off the sharts and bloodwave could be good.
Necro overall imo will be like launch and season 1 and season 2 where there will be 1 build that 1000% outshines every other build while other Classes have way better options to craft builds.
Don’t really care about the changes. Not playing season 5 at all. Come July 2nd not playing diablo ever again. Sick to death of swapping & changing builds just to keep up with changes. Blizzard can lig my nuts

Barbs really are the easy mode for pre teens to play... I really believe ebonpiercer is why they nerfed the 240% multiplier... once again they prove DIABLO HATES FUN, unless it's mindless barbarian melee. Would love if they made a combo using Howl from Below with he new dagger etc

Instead of Blighted you can play Reanimation or Aspekt of Elements on a 2h Weapon

This is the wrong game to hold out hope for. It took them 4 seasons to finally get to a point where people started to come back. Then they turn around and start nerfing and undoing things they’ve fixed or buffed only to turn around and do it all over, again.
@@adammijares9222 I like the gameplay so I never left. Game is in a good state for me, nerfs just mean I'll dop less damage but will be more challenging either way.
Blood lance blood wave could be better in s5. Nothing about bone spear , minions armor in paragon etc… I am not a fan of bone spirit since it consumes all of your essence for a bazooka attack. I prefer shooting with bone spear.
Let’s wait for the ptr on Tuesday but for now I consider playing a blizzard sorceress and maybe blood no minions necro

I guess Blizzard's idea of "fun" is making necro players run in circles trying to find a way to play the game...
Trying stuff can be fun, but also very exhausting depending on the time you have to play without battling the gold and gear.
yeah each season there are 1 or 2 builds that can do endgame content at all, and we're still worse than the other classes, but they still feel the need to nerf us rather than just raising the other skills up from dumpster tier so we have some variety in what to play
Blizzard seem to do everything they can to annoy their players.
Here's what I don't understand behind Blizzard's logic....Necro was arguably the worst class in the game for damage, survivability, and movement. An argument could be made for druid with some aspects, but I'm pretty sure Necro is the worst based on pure numbers. They've ALWAYS been at the bottom, since moment one, even when they claimed minions were too overpowered in beta. So now, a BUNCH of buffs come out, making them....still the worst class in the game, they feel the need to nerf? Why? They could TRIPLE our damage and we'd still fall smack on the middle of the tier list. This shit is getting old. Make necromancers great again!!!!!
we kinda had a good run, but they remembered what we did for Seasons 1-3 and decided we get to suck again...... *EDIT* I don't hate bone spirit.... so I guess I'll live?
They simply just nerf the necro into the dirt and buff the ready most OP class even more making season 5 the worst season yet. If 99% of players will only play Barb then season 5 will be the worst season. I have no hype for season 5. There’s no armory, clan stash, nor auction house to justify this to be a good season.

@@hondaman4everonce S5 hits it won’t matter anyway as all current gear will become legacy because of the updated and new uniques. It sucks really because I was just starting to enjoy my Blight build that I spent days on.

It’s very apparent they don’t play or play very little of their own game. Every time they have demo gameplay footage from one of the Devs it’s always on a class that isn’t optimized in any way shape or form and they’re doing little to no damage too.

Good. The shadow necro was the crappiest starter/leveling build and only takes off once you start really getting into the paragon tree anyway. Standard necro does 1-100 the same and the only difference where shadow takes over is late game anyway, and by that I mean pits 80+ which ya'll know most people aren't really doing anyway. These are actually nice buffs for non shadow minion build which already flies through start to pits 1-80 anyway. They may wanna take a look at druid because even at 35 I was one shotting helltide boss in Wt3 and by 70 pulv I was one shotting wt4 boss with 6-7 people around. I'm only 85 now and one shotting pit 60 bosses....and I feel like I'm "average" geared.
