That was just like Jack Nicklaus! Back in the 1960s he felt like he rotated around his right hip and thigh, let the arms fall, and then POW! Props to Billy Horschel; this is an underrated video about a very misunderstood concept.
I have no fantasy that no matter what I learn I’ll never come close to comparing to a tour player. It takes a lot of hard work and deep dedication to even have a shot at it.
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me
Nice tip. We read some golf books including "Tiger Woods: How I play golf" and they are really good books. But of course, it is easier to learn from a video tip like this. Even better if we can actually do it when playing....
Very hard for the am to load that right side in the backswing and then transfer it back to the left on the downswing while keeping balance, rotating and hitting it solid in such a short time unless you got tempo like a pro.
Pushing from the right side is the reason so many recreational golfers early extend. Early extension may feel powerful, but it is a terrible golf swing. Swing tips are such a personal thing and vary from case to case. Get a good golf teacher and establish decent fundamentals.
Don’t like how he talks about leading with his arms, that seems to be going against what everyone else says. But then on his full swing he doesn’t lead with his arms at all
Well..its a drill..he may overexaggerate here..but his swing doesnt work that way. Plus, most tour players have extremely fast hips comparatively speaking and often can get their club stuck behind them and way inside.
Feel vs real. I see a clear trend of people overdoing the whole "body-driven" or "pivot-driven" swing and as a consequence they're either stuck, spinning out, shoulders aggressively turning over the top, etc. Many people would be well served by learning how to speed up their arms. Some extensor action on the back swing and learning how to unload the first power accumulator for the more technically inclined or versed in the golfing machine lingo.
MahanFan1 speeding up the arms helped me tremendously. I grew up playing baseball so my natural tendency was to spin my hips hard in the downswing. I got a lesson and my instructor said my hips were fast enough I just need the arms swinging faster to match with my hips. Man, I started attacking the ball from the inside and my driving distance shot up almost 50 yards.
Who else wants to see him win again?
He won 👍
@@georgebs36 He won again 👍👍
@@SiLoMixMaster drop out BK and let a REAL American play like BH!!

Billy seems like a good dude.

Wow, what a humble golfer. He would make a great college coach.

Great Tip! I am following this for my Iron play. Should I follow the same routine for my Driver?
Great when Tour players gives you drills 👍
Love Billy, what a stand up humble guy. Tuff as nails, and a true gentleman at the same time. Would love to ply 18 with him, maybe some day.

According to Billy I'm a tour player now so I should have a hefty cheque showing up in the mail any day.
Yup, also waiting for it
Hahah yep!
this is exactly what i needed, especially for us strong short guys i struggle with getting my 7i 135 but i can drive 290
Don't ever let your ego get in the way of learning & improving! If it's good enough for the top pros it's good enough for you! ⛳✌️
Shouldn’t you switch the weight to your left leg though?
If you close your eyes youd think Eli Manning was talking to you
Cool guy
I thought it said “Billy Horschel Demands How to Hit The Ball Farther” 😂
Thanks Christian Bale for the tip!
dhz35 Im not wearing hockey mask.
i was just going to say the same it's freaky the likeness
Well good for him that he didn’t say that he was using ground, but he uses his body to generate the power. He can’t control the ground.
Christian Bale as Billy Horschel in the golf biopic “Loaded” 😁
There’s a reason he’s on that side of the ropes and we’re on that side
Why did it all of a sudden switch to a cam corder? lol
Hey, Billy, just f.y.i.-this (/) is a forward slash, this (\) is a backslash...referencing your recent tv commercial.😊
