No Kawasaki Z900RS? That’s a glaring omission, my dude, especially with the sweet new color way.
Well said.
@@keithengle592 inline 4
@@wetwea33 oh right I was thinking 650 because numbers are hard
Especially the Z900RS Cafe with front cowl/fairing. Love that bike! But as already mentioned, Yammie left it out of the list cus it has an inline4 🤦♂️
Z900rs seems more like a classic RE classic than a neo cafe racer
Made a Neo Retro my first motorcycle when I bought a Royal Enfield INT650 and am absolutely in love with it and am excited to wrench on it this winter
Yam avoids talking about Honda's cb1000r at all costs.
I Know! I was hoping to see if my cb1000r made the list but nope.
realy should have included the z900rs
I just got myself a "small" displacement Chinese neo retro bike and I love the experience and now when I look at this list I do respect all of you that can handle all the torque on these torqu-ative bikes. Great list too👍
No Z900RS? One of (if not) the best bike in this segment? Guess Yammie's anti Kawasaki bias is stronger than ever!
the best neo retro is the z900rs, and you dont even have it on the list.
You missed the XSR700, the Z650RS, the W800, the Z900RS/Cafe, the CB1000R, and the SV650X.
Yesss finally talked about the new Guzzi V7
I thought the cb650r or the cb1000r were going to be on this list 🤔
Same my dream bike at moment 😢
Where are the Huskies at? Dissapointed!
I just got the Black Edition CB1000R! One of the best looking naked bikes, and they aptly call it the Neo Sports Cafe. Lots of styling elements to touch back to the 70s CBs, but with modern flare. I think it looks so much better than the XR900, that's for sure! I think the Sportster definitely doesn't below on the list, and not because it's HD. It's far more a cruiser than a 'standard' naked bike.
I really think the CB1000R should have been included in this.
I have the V7 Centenario, I can confirm what is said here. You don't go and compete against an mt09. But the Character is present, as well as the smile on your face when you ride it
What about the w800 Kawasaki
I did not expect the Sportster S to make the list towards the end there. Before I began I thought it would be but the other bikes on the list just seemed to be appealing a lot more chrome. It is actually a great bike to ride and the HP and torque beat every other bike on that list, with the price being competitive for the package. The rear suspension sucks but it is easy to change out the seat and bar position (it is a Harley after all). Also, the small windscreen from HD is a must. It tidies it up nice around the neck and takes the wind off the chest.
How much is it to change out the shocks to make it taller? It's very limited by it's 34 degree lean angle, and that's a deal breaker (plus it feels like its made for really short people, but I think adding a few inches to the seat would be the cheap route).
I just harassed a BMW R910T rider for about a half an hour, three weeks ago. It was painted in a deep blue with red and white accents. Just a truly gorgeous classic BMW opposed twin. He had already changed the taillights, exhaust can, and the pegs and he said he really liked it. That is a beautiful motorcycle.
XSR looks like a 90s sport bike that was crashed and put back together in the back yard while failing to install all parts.
I thought it looked ok before but I honestly hate the way it looks now with the updates. Was a contender for me but not anymore
@@kevinmason6130 Agree, previous bike was better from a design point of view.
@@kevinmason6130 Gotta agree with you there. Not keen on the updates at all.
Glaring omissions: Honda's CB1000R and Kawasaki's z900RS.
Maybe a video in the future on the Bonneville Bobber from Triumph? 👀
Traded up my 2020 Svartpilen for a 2022 Triumph Speed twin last spring. The small Svart was really good but i`m in love with my Triumph.
Where is the Kawasaki rs900 or 650? I really like the looks of those.
I love Neo Retros. I have a 2022 Kawasaki Z900RS SE and a 2021 Blacked out Honda CB1000R+ and I am sad that both the bikes were not included in this list.
Yammie, you should review the Honda 2021 or later CB1000R+
Been trying to get him to sit and give his thoughts on a new cb1000r
He often boasts about the CB 650R, but never talks about the 1000R as a CB1000R owner myself, I feel like this is a miss, the 1000R is completely different with the single sided swingarm and the driver modes. I really wish he would give this bike a chance
@@joseph9556 True
@@Chris20091000 agreed. As a 650r owner myself and absolutely love all the cb and cbr platforms, we all know Yam enough to know that the video will pretty much be 10 minutes of saying why you should get a street fighter or mt10 because its too heavy and doesn't hit 200mph
Got mine last week. The SE with the ohlin suspension and brembo brakes was the only option for me even when I had to wait 3 months to find one. 🎉
Love My 2022 Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard ❤️
Brixton Crossfire 500 is my fav
A lot of sweet bikes on your list and none that I would not park in my garage, well maybe not that Sportster S. Triumph wise I went with Thruxton R and had the R9T. Moto Guzzi wise I went with a 1200 Sport.
Triumph scrambler 1200 xe owner here. Would love to see a review. It's an amazing bike!
What about the kawasaki W800 cafe. Great bike and certainly attracts a lot of attention
As a 6"2 guy, I would get a Triump Street Scrambler 900. Beautiful bike, and velociraptors will follow you into battle.
It is possible to have 366 people with all different birthdays if 1 is born in a leep year on Feb 29th
Does the husqvarna svartpilen/vitpilen lineup count as neo retro?
Always like the list worked in with the review. My short attention span
One omissions for me outside the Kawasaki already mentioned in the comments 😢, the Ducati Desert X , and although not marketed as retro the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello that reminds me of the Lemans series of motorcycles .
I would prefer an XSR900 or 700.
I just started riding and got a used Scrambler Sixty2. It's been great so far. I am sure there were better options out there. But nothing looked as pretty, while at the same time being learner friendly.
Glad to hear it's been great for you. I've been trying to track one down myself (probably for reasons that aren't completely pragmatic, but that's what cars are for).
Yammie why leave out the Kawasaki W800?
Surprised you don't have your favorite Svartpilen 401 or 701 in here.
I consider my 02 Triumph Daytona 955i triple to be my used (read: less $ & less electronic Nannie’s) neo-retro.
I just think I need to find a tank that doesn’t look like a fuel truck lol. But I do love classic Bonnevilles.
@YammieNoob.. got a busy life for a retired guy. But will call & ask for you ore put my private data on your website in the next couple of weeks when I have time to talk a bit.
If it’s because you might be interested in my bike that be cool but I hope to get a few mods done, mostly mild cosmetics for comfort etc. Hoping to break into the tens at the strip this summer. My buddy in OH who owns a ZX14 said he was impressed by the Daytona. And his work has given him rides in numerous fast bikes and cars. Look up Matt Capri who built tuned and sold the bike in his Triumph dealership. Missed out on a couple of other used bikes with some positive history but glad I did now.
Trying to get to a fast sleeper Street & strip bike.
I like slow bikes with character
I prefer a slower, but comfortable, kick-ass looking bike, so I would choose the sportster
what about a dt 175
Kawasaki Z900RS should be on this list. Why the omission?
lets goo
XSR900 1st Gen (2016-2021). No substitute.
4:37 is it 890cc like the video shows or 889cc like Yamie is saying?
The mash which is a french brand but bikes made in china, has the same look as the Royal Einfield bikes too !
I waited vitpilen to the end..🥺
I'm seriously thinking about replacing my Ninja 400 by the end of next year for an MT09 or an XSR900 (both '22 model onwards), but I'm hesitating because of the right foot position: too close to the alternator. Anyone is having issues with this? I also don't like the bar-end mirrors on the '22 XSR900, does anyone know if there's a chance to change them for a standard ones?
Either way I'm getting a naked bike no matter what. The idea of a Rebel 1100 is also around but not as strong as the CP3 masterpiece from Yamaha. 🤤
Love my 2020 Speed Twin! No way I’d pay 15k for a Sportster. I might also include the Kawasaki Zed900.
Hiiiii papa yammmmm
So no Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and 701, Honda CB650R neo sports cafe / CB1000R Black edition ?
The Desert Sled is awful coming of the factory floor. The suspension is horrific.
5:48 which bike is this?
Harley sporster S seems cool but $15k without mark up is pretty steep. Went to Harley and saw it for about 25 without frees.
Good luck finding an XSR :/
The royal Enfield 650's producing 65 to 70 bhp and 25% of hike in price with compromising braking with the same twin and a tubeless spoke rim with better suspension than the current one...trust me it will rule india and even the British motorcycle market 🫂
What no rocket III?
And that was the best thing I could think to say :-(
Well anything you wanna say.
I definedly prefer a bike with charakter over a 186mph Sportbike. Funny enough i ride my smallest Bike faster than my bigger bikes.
Ducati rocks but gets bit hot on long rides
Terima kasih.
No Indian FTR?
Suzuki SV650 ?
Indian FTR1200
No honda cb650R?
No Indian FTR??
cb100r
Ducati or Triumph 👍
Character - Triumph or Ducati
I want a z900 rs and a sportster s so badly. I wish I had money :(
honda cb1000 ???
did they discontinue the desert sled for 2023?
Nope ,just didn't receive Any Updates.
All the good stuff on your web site is sold out meh
I wish BMW made a 400-500 cc boxer
The guzzi V7 is not a neo retro, don't let that traction control fool you, just disable the whole thing by holding the starter button for 2 seconds and boom, it s an air cooled v twin which overheats and perform like 1980
where is the honda??
Where's the Honda CB650R and the Kawasaki 650/900 RS ???
Why not provide metric power and torque figures for the rest of the world?
The heat coming off the 1100 Scrambler makes riding this bike so uncomfortable. To me it amounts to a design flaw. I wouldn't want that bike if Ducati was giving them away.
bro how about honda?????? why did not you talk about the neo sport cafe series? l mean lt has CB650R and CB1000R and you have made a review about it and you liked it a lot.. what shame.
Love the Ducati, Duke/ADV is still the best BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!!! Sorry Fo CAPS, but KTM is the way to go.
Yay I'm first!
"are you sure about that"
@@vivekdhamala569 pretty sure?
Remember when rider modes was just called experience . Smart bikes for dumb riders
Motto Guzzi V7 wins
No Royal Enfield or BSA or Norton or Chinese engine bikes
Turbo Busa @11:13
No 1 is missing! Guess which one...
Just $15K for a sportster 👍
I was enjoying this video until the Sportster S made an appearance.
Looking at a moto guzzi thinking there's no way i ride that thing without 3rd degree burns on my knees as a tall individual. Guess there's a reason nobody cares about them in the US.
Slow bike. were on the road you can do 200km/h. At least with smaller bike you can likr use all of its power. I mean i have more fun on my postie bike(ct125) then i would on my speed twin 1200
I don't think this guy did much research before making this video. Is he new at this?
Guzzzzzzzzi
I prefer more powerful bikes.
What is neo retro about the XSR 900? It doesn't hearken back to the looks of anything retro, and it's a complete visual monstrosity.
late 80s retro
Yammie Seriously Boring 😴Old Dad 👨Bikes, get ya h2 sorted and hit me up
That Harley has no idea what kind of bike it is trying to be muscle bike cruiser weird riding position.
Royal Enfield 👎🏼
Since you asked, slower and with more character.
