Wow, thank you very much for this. It really addresses the biggest challenge with vMix - controlling audio in real time. Hope you will do more to build on this. Making the first step so accessible is so helpful. If you put a link to buy the x-touch, I would be inclined to get one. Hopefully a B&H rather than Amazon, though.
Soooo .... I've followed your excellent instructions and the fader on my Xtouch won't move the Vmix fader BUT if I move the Vmix fader (on computer screen) the Xtouch fader will move?? Any ideas why it won't work both ways?
Hey man, thankyou for this. Only issue i've got is that it works vMix > Fader (fader on x-Touch replicates vMix), but won't work Fader > vMix. If I move the fader it will snap back to the position of the fader on vMix. Any ideas?
Sounds like you have setup the activator as described in the video, but not setup the shortcut “SetVolume” on the same channel. To have a motorized fader properly working it has to be a combination of shortcut for moving the fader with the x-touch, and activator to have vmix set the motorized fader.
@@tvguy2 Nice. That works well for director mic, but a lot of my productions involve virtual audio cables and routing in/out of other programs, something that I can't seem to figure out how to do on a remote instance.
@@marshall409 VB-audio cable works well on a remote machine, we use it all the time. However, our preferred method of routing audio around in the cloud is NDI.

Glad you liked it!
Can you also map multiple banks? Like tracks 1-8, switch, tracks 9-16, switch, tracks 17-24...
I would like to know this too.

Make sure your x-touch is enabled in both the shortcut settings and the activator settings.
Will the faders on the x-touch adjust position when I change between projects in my DAW?
yes, the x-touch compact supports flying faders

The same problem here... is there a solution?
@@multimediamax_belgium Yes same thing here. Did you find a solution?

What method are you using to pass your microphone and MIDI to the cloud instance?
i'm using Teradici Remote desktop software with my AWS instances. Automatically passes the default system microphone to remote device

just one thing, this is not the Behringer x-touch MINI, BUT the Behringer x-touch COMPACT
Yeah, I had an x-touch mini also sitting next to me. I've updated the title so it's now correct.
