Nice intro vid. Been using the BCF for 10 yrs. Still like it, but the major thing missing is the lack of display / scribble strips to see/know what you're tweaking. The X-Touch would solve that problem. Bring it on!
Are you guys going to add more functionality to the X-Touch and X-Air mixer for the live sound environment? I have the XR-16 and the X-Touch. I really put them thru their paces at a 4 day church conference, and I absolutely loved it! I hope you guys keep on developing/refining this functionality!

I'm loving my X-Touch for mixing with Logic X! however using with mainstage 3 is proving to be quite complicated. Does Behringer have plans to make a mainstage for X-Touch video anytime soon?
It works well with FL Studio - and there is an active community that continually adds suggestions and new features (Here is one of my own). The best suggestions get picked up by Image Line and become a part of the default use in FL Studio) gadgeteer.home.blog/2021/01/11/adding-track-numbers-to-the-second-line-of-the-behringer-x-touch-and-extenders/
I need a midi controller with fader to controlled the volume of my Korg electribe and Yamaha An-200 is possible use with DAW HARDWARE? OR IS not possible if connect x-tocuh my BeatStepPro that controlled my machine is possible mapping the fader's x-touch on command BSP?
Been wanting this since last year, but can't seem to find a straight answer if this will work with Ableton Live 9 Suite. Can you give me any insight to this?
+Genshi Media Group Yes it will work with Ableton, but be sure to check how Ableton Suite 9 implements Mackie Control (MC) in their software as each DAW has their own take on it.
I bought this Product only to find it does not work properly in Reaper, Phil mentions only the DAWs that work with this product, I love Reaper and wanted this X Touch to control it, how Disappointed I was that it failed to Deliver. I bought this only recently in 2022.
I heard that itnhas tremendous amount of issues when using HUI protocol. Please tell me that it isnt true or that its being fixed. Was really looking forward on buying this
+Santiago Mansur This is not true. The truth is that X-TOUCH will work with all DAWs that utilize the Mackie Control and HUI control Protocols. The key is that all functionality is related directly and exclusively to the way your DAW implements Mackie Control (MC) and HUI control protocols. So please be sure to check with your DAW manufacturer for more information on what their software supports.
Can you please do a video on how to get the X Touch to work with Cakewalk Sonar Platinum please? I hace set it up to MC and set up the settings in Preferences. However, none of the controls work. Therefore, it would be a great help if you could do a video on getting Sonar and the X Touch to talk to each other please.
+ServingMyJesus X-TOUCH will work with all DAWs that utilize the Mackie Control and HUI control Protocols. Check with your DAW manufacturer for more information on what their software supports. We plan to release more "How To" videos with X-TOUCH in the near future.
Behringer, are you going to build expanders? I´m looking for 24-32 faders. I don´t like that Compact missing the Displays and I don´t think having 3-4 jog wheels is clever, it takes up space as well. Please answer. Regards Chris
+Christian Angelo Nilsén Thanks for reaching out to us. At this time we do not have plans to make an extender unit for the X-TOUCH Universal Controllers.
Looks like a nice product. What is the warranty on this, and what does the warranty covers? Living in Canada, this thing is going to cost me almost double the price, want my money's worth. Thank you.
+sp pro This product, along with all other Behringer products, come with our guaranteed 3-year warranty after registering on our website. You can find out more information about our warranty program here: www.music-group.com/support/warranty-condition
Currently we have no plans to make a 16-ch version of X-TOUCH, but we are considering making channel extenders so you could effectively use a 16-ch fader setup. See more info here: facebook.com/BEHRINGER/posts/10154420743863914
+Papa Branca It works fairly well actually, all transports and job wheels on multiple connected X-Touched are all duplicated. Check out our cascading video in the X-Touch "How-To" video playlist.
Can it be used in a custom midi mode as well? (apart from Mackie control and HUI?) Also, are there plans for an extender of additional faders WITH scribble strips and without the transport controls we can add to this awesome product?!?!?
+Jake Bergeson Answer to your questions are no. But if you desire custom editing your parameters then you will want to go with the X-TOUCH COMPACT instead. We do not plan on making an extender. However you can connect multiple X-TOUCH controllers together to extend your fader count and scribble strips using the built in 2-port powered multi-TT USB hub. :)
+MarkFromHawaii Yes it will work with Reaper, but be sure to check how Cockos implements Mackie Control (MC) in their Reaper software as each DAW has their own take on it. If you are looking for a customizable MIDI CC controller then you should probably go with the X-TOUCH COMPACT instead as that is not possible with the full size X-TOUCH.
I'm having a hard time confirming the following: do the scribble strips work dynamically as intended/can you easily write plugin parameter automation all while using REAPER? I want a rotary encoder that displays the parameter I'm adjusting(in reaper with fabfilter plugs) so badly. Will this do it for me? Thank you
+Rodrigo Ortiz Yes you can "bank" through faders in excess of 8 by pressing the FADER BANK buttons or individually scroll through each one using the CHANNEL buttons next to the Jog Wheel on X-TOUCH.
+Peter Katsigiannis yeah? What DAW are you using? I am a Studio One advocate. If it works fluently with it, I'll purchase it. It seems as if it works best with Logic and Pro Tools. Mackie not Windows.
+leeahegg The X-TOUCH COMPACT (not the fullsize) can assign MIDI CC commands AND also is compatible with Mackie Control's MC protocol, so if that's what you're looking for then you should consider that one instead as it can do both.
Its working great with logic X. Awesome product the only thing Im not seeing is the touch sensitive element. Yes faders move but It doesnt automatically select the track. have to push select button for the software to go to that track. Am I missing something?
+chatolars Yes it will as Reason does support Mackie Control. Be sure to check with Propellerhead on how they implement MC and HUI control protocols in their DAW software for more information.
+chatolars - it does sort of, but it's limited. When you clip audio in Reason, the clip LED lights on the X-Touch... and never goes off. In order to get the clip LED to go off on the X-Touch, you have to power cycle it. :( I returned mine.
+DBlack DaGreat This is a feature that is only capable of being controlled when used in conjunction with your X AIR Mixers, and in the future with also work with your X32 Digital Mixers. This is because the scribble strips are proprietary to our other Behringer mixers, and Mackie Control and HUI control protocols do not actually implement for that feature.
+Mikee535 Yes it will work with StudioOne, but be sure to check how PreSonus implements Mackie Control (MC) in their StudioOne software as each DAW has their own take on it.

Will this unit work with Presonus Studio One V3? I know S1 allows for Mackie HUI and UC but some companies who claimed full support are now dropping Presonus Studio One from their lists dew to the way they convert the CC protocol. Could someone please let me know what sort of integration this will allow with S1v3. Same question for the full size x32, very little is published on the compatibility. In the last month I've had an A&H Qu-16, they have now pulled support for Studio One and the CS18ai has finalisation issues, ie, they are shipping it half finished with "fireware updates" promised. My daw is central to my requirements as I am used to using it and don't want to change. I am going to buy the x32 as a desk and understand it has limited daw control, but I think this would work well in conjunction with it. Sorry for having to ask these questions on a RUclips video, but the UK dealer network can't answer my questions due to lack of product knowledge. Many thanks.
+No Say X-TOUCH will work with all DAWs that utilize the Mackie Control and HUI control Protocols. Please check with your DAW manufacturer for more information on what their software supports.
+Nelson Nelson This is not a recording interface, it's just a controller for for Mackie Control and HUI protocol compatible software. So to record audio signals into your computer you would need a separate audio recording interface.
got mine from Sweetwater, now I'm selling my mackie mcu pro with an extension and a c4 pro.. yes that's how cool I think the x-touch is, the only thing it needs is behringer to make a proper extension, not the x-touch compact.
+alexnadalpiantini You can actually connect two or more X-TOUCH's together to get access to more faders and scribble strips using the built in 2-port powered multi-TT USB hub. :)
+BEHRINGER yes but you know what i mean, it would look weird ... it is better to have an real extension.... and another thing, will we have coloured scribble strips in logic pro x?
We have no need to make an "extension" for these controllers like you speak of because you can already connect two of these controllers together using the powered TT USB hub. Also, color control of our proprietary scribble strips is not a MC or HUI supported feature, this is only intended for future use with X32 Digital Consoles.
+Hellom To Be You do not need a firmware update for X-TOUCH to work with your Windows 7 PC, it's plug and play so you should be good to go. If you do need to update the firmware of your X-TOUCH then please check out our "How To Update your Firmware" video on the Behringer RUclips page for detailed instructions.
+Francisco Santiago X-TOUCH will work with all DAWs that utilize the Mackie Control and HUI control Protocols. Please check with your DAW manufacturer for more information on what their software supports.
Once again this does not work, Behringer X Touch was called a DAW Controller, it did not live up to it's name, only for a few DAW's it worked they did not include Reaper, have not found anything that completely breaks down step by step in how to get Reaper to work with this Controller, I bought this a few days ago in 03/01.2022. the X Touch has been out awhile now you would have thought it would be resolved by now, evidently not, so disappointed.
+stupidusername38 No this is not a MIDI CC controller and is not able to be custom configured, it just emulates what your DAW assigns to MC and HUI command protocols. If you are looking for a full customizable X-TOUCH controller then we suggest you look into getting the X-TOUCH COMPACT which has a editing software program allowing you to customize MIDI CC parameters.
With everything I've seen on the X32, this product looks INCREDIBLE.
Love that you're demoing it with Logic!!!!
Because it doesn't work well with Cubase.
Doggies love logic its the way of this world 🌎 😉🤷♂️
Nice intro vid. Been using the BCF for 10 yrs. Still like it, but the major thing missing is the lack of display / scribble strips to see/know what you're tweaking. The X-Touch would solve that problem. Bring it on!
OK Behringer, I'm saving my money for this. BRING IT!!
loving my X Touch so far! Please do a video with Reaper I have paid for it and learned with it and need to figure out a lot with the X Touch
Sick, I totally missed this one!
Just picked one up. Now gotta wait for shipping. :)
I like the way he said 'Massage those tracks...'
Hi, In the beginning he says "it works live as well but lets talk about the studio" where can I find info on how to use it live? Thanks
Phil is the best

why my x touch display don't change color? i'm using whit logic prox
Well done
Can you lock all faders to one fader in order to make equal amounts of changes (i.e. volume) to all audio channels? (I'm using logic)
Waiting on mine to deliver today I will be guest of Roland Corp again at Summer NAMM so hoping to see you all while I am there
I'm loving my X-Touch for mixing with Logic X! however using with mainstage 3 is proving to be quite complicated. Does Behringer have plans to make a mainstage for X-Touch video anytime soon?
would like to see you do a vid on x-touch with reason.... Jros.

ableton rocks!!!
The Touch Selection doesn’t work on mine. Latest firmware and with Logic Pro. Anyone help?
is it this still worth it to buy in 2022? just asking😅 coz i think i want to buy one…

does exist a complete manual in any language? Thanks

This is great! :)
Will You guys be making an "Fader Ad-on" with LCD Scribble Strips, so I can have 16+ faders in the studio?
All the best to you. :)
+Papa Branca No, but you can connect multiple units together to extend your number of faders and scribble strips. :)
Thank You for answering :D
So the solution is to buy multiple of the X-Touch from the video and connect them?
That´s gonna be a lot of jog-wheels :P

Now... We whant to know how it works for live attached to x32 rack or core ...
+Karam Antonio This feature of X32 control (RTP MIDI) will come in a future release. We'll be sure to keep users here posted on updates as they come.
+BEHRINGER Will it be working with XR18 in a live-situation (in the future) as well?
Yes that is the plan
Can I use 2 of them to control my XR16?
Hello Phil, does it work with FL STUDIO 20 (P.C.)
Is there a page over button or something that will toggle through additional tracks?
+William Moore Yes there are fader bank and channel scroll buttons directly to the left of the scrub wheel on X-TOUCH.
Can it be used in a custom midi mode as well? (apart from Mackie control and HUI?)

but... when? when? that has been the question for almost 2 years..
+alecolive We are rapidly approaching an official release date. We'll be sure to keep everyone posted when these controllers start shipping, thanks!

how about studio one pro
you keep missing saying that in every review but we are assuming it will work in makie hui mode lol
