@@spinlightstudios all good, didn't mean to devaluate your point! Just wanted to put out there in case anyone here could use it. Also arguably the main benefit of the controller are the faders and being able to ride automations anyways.
Pretty much everything else I can do in the box (minus all MIDI-stuff, that requires faders, knobs, pads) but physical faders are the must. Although I don't use X Touch.
For the jog wheel.. Trying off Snap to Grid, see if that makes it a bit smoother. Just seeing how the playhead moved in your video, it looks like it is snapping to something. Especially the Smart Snap.. Because I think it is adjusting to the zoom level and snapping to that. I think with Snap turned off, the jog wheel should move much more smoothly.
Amazing! I have just purchased one today online, and this jog wheel issue was the only thing that had been putting me off. I'm glad to hear there is a solution if it plays up. Thanks for commenting.
honestly the colors never worked until one of my latest MacOS update. suddenly the colors work and I havent even updated my hardware firmware. was quite shocked.
Just curious. Is there a newer control surface out there that's caught your eye since you bought this? Or is the familiarity enough to keep you working with the Behringer?
Hey everyone! If you all have an X-Touch, maybe you can help me. I’m trying to get the fader bank to scroll through the channels like Rhys does in the video, but it will only go 1 or 2 channels at a time and only 1/3 of the total tracks I have in my Logic session. Any ideas how to get it to scroll through all channels?
@@spinlightstudios I thought I followed it correctly but maybe I missed something. Thanks for the reply my guy. Keep up the great work! I’ve loved the 1 Shots and Logic mixing template.
@@jamisonlyman6912 thanks so much man! If you have the chance to leave a review on the one shots and the template on my store that would be so awesome! Hope you can figure out the banking!
Hey Legends, Due to some issues I had to upload this video again! Apologies for the repost!
Oh, thank goodness. I thought it was really intense deju vu.
Did I think I needed this before watching your video....no.
Do I want one now? Heck yes!
Haha it is definitely fun to use 😆
The jog wheel is the problem ...contacts. if you find a non petroleum grease and wipe over the contact points, it'll fix it perfectly.
If you hold option while clicking on the solo button you can do comparisons. It unsolos the other soloed tracks so you can easily compare
Thanks, I had forgotten about that when I made this video! Still, it’s nice to be able to do it on the control surface

I used to think the same way until I actually bought an x touch. now using a mouse feels like im mixing with a billy club.
Take knob off scroll wheel, spray Deoxit on pot shaft, try to get it down into the pot itself while turning the pot....should fix it.

I tried it.. same thing 🥲 definitely something weird going on with it!
I have an arturia keyboard with a jog wheel and it’s super smooth - my xtouch has some sort of issue
@@spinlightstudios Spray the pot with a bit of Deoxit. I bet it's just a bit dirty from use.
Life’s filth 😂
I have the same issue with the jog wheel. First it worked smooth and in a year it started skipping. I'll try the contact cleaner suggestion.
Yep, I cleaned it with WD40 and now it works flawlessly. :)

Try a spraying a bit of contact cleaner and/or fader lube or something similar into the jog wheel pot and see if that helps.
Definitely worth a try
Do you know how many total can be cascaded together, I just bought 3 and would like to add 3 more extenders! Great Video!
I’m not sure about that sorry!
I hate that the faders move very jerky during automation movements. Otherwise, a really neat control surface.
Awesome video!!! Where did you update the xtouch to get all the colors?
I just google the Behringer x touch drivers and watched a video on how to install them :)

Hmmm I actually haven’t looked - mainly because I know I don’t really need it 😂 otherwise the gear addiction kicks in 🙈

Caught my eye
Do you know if it's easy to control something like RMEs totalmix?
No idea sorry!
Does it support Mac Studio M2 Ultra?
I’m on M2 Max and working the same in logic
Thank you so much for your reply.

Hey Jamison did you follow the set up instructions and put it in the right mode? I remember when setting it up you had to put it in a certain mode.

if mike tyson pressed buttons.
Showing those buttons who’s in control lol. To be fair, they need a decent push and I’ve had this for over 8 years and every button still works 😇
Scroll thing is just you.. lol
You mean it’s just my device lol the wheel is cooked 😂
