- B dup is a manipulative drug dealer from Grove Street who exploits Big Bear's crack addiction, turning him into a servant for his own gain. Big Bear, once a respected member of the Grove Street Families, falls into addiction and becomes B dup's slave, doing degrading tasks in exchange for drugs. Their story in GTA: San Andreas culminates in Big Bear breaking free from B dup’s control, seeking redemption and reclaiming his dignity.

Yup. Claude is bad too lol
B Dup reminds me of Stretch from GTA 5, especially when he says "The only thing that matters is the hood, homie. But you'll never understand what gettin' this money is like." In other words, he sounds like a STRAIGHT BUSTA
Busta Dup
Even his name ‘beat up’ is just… corny ahh busta sh*t

Yea I wonder why he never spoke about it on interviews or anything.

Now he tries to sound like drake 😂
@phillyl4235 i just realized he tries to copycat others til now
Big Bear is voiced by Big Boy, who’s a popular LA radio host that lost a ton of weight (not from drugs). It’s a funny inside joke but pretty depressing for Big Bears character 😂

No wonder everytime i listened to radio los santos i always thought why does it sound like a more sober big bear talking
@@NiyahDior-It's not him, the host of Radio LS is Julio G
The way they drew bear in the game makes him look retarded

B dup was so hateable in just 1 scene. I was so happy to finally get back to him until Rockstar decided to spare his life.
They don't explain it which is worse, they might have killed him and it just didn't show the execution, only 3 people were shown walking out the house, Bear and Sweet got in a 2 door infernus, unless B Dup was in the trunk they killed him or just walked away which doesn't make much sense besides them going way back but B Dup did literally nothing to be spared he threatened to have Bear kill them, either they killed him or tortured him for information before killing him.
You could tell he wasn't loyal when you first meet him because he ain't wearing Family colors.
Dressed like half a Balla. You knew he was sheisty
"When i'm gone, everybody's gonna remember my name... Big Smoke!"
And look at that, 20 years later everyone of us still remembers the name. Huh
in this games lore it all wouldve happened 32 years ago atp
In GTA V no one remembers smoke, but yet people know OG Loc, ironic isn't it?
@@myblaonga I was talking about us, the fans, not in-game characters. Big Smoke's last words were a bit of a 4th wall break 😆
@@myblaongagta v is set in a timeline where everything prior to gta 4 doesnt exist basically gta 4 and V are in their own universe but have easter eggs to the universe of 3, san andreas, and vice city.
@@CJTheeOne GTA Series don’t need a multiverse explanation, even Rockstar regrets doing that. To me, there's just one universe where the 3D and HD eras are different stories that don’t intersect. It’s like a single bookcase with separate books on it, each telling its own thing. There is a lot of instances in GTA V says that what happened in San Andreas happened in V.
4:52 This is just confirms it that Sweet was the worst leader, who cant take the responsibility and blame everything on a CJ.
Does an irresponsible person forgo a life of luxury handed to them on a silver platter to fight a deadly war against those who have ruined his birth place? Remember the mission Homecoming and you'll see what I mean.
@@1993Redemptionyeah, yeah they do. Just cause he was a good gangster doesn't mean he was a good leader. He simply wasn't

Big bear Is someone I wanted to learn more about in GTA San Andreas.
Bdup and big bears story was a pretty cool one but i wish they were featured in more than just TWO missions. Also im surprised they let bdup off the hook easily as after big bear punches him they just leave the place.
Isn’t it crazy tho on how much lore is attached to them despite being in just two small missions? I wish they would have killed dup off fr he caused a lot of damage and could have been a mission with bear shooting by your side.
I think by that point the Grove Street boys were just that desperate to get Bear back to his gruesome yet wholesome self again. You hate to see a friend fall that low to drugs that the dealer just becomes a bit of an afterthought
Especially when they also have to worry about Big Smoke
To be fair they didn’t kill OG loc and he turned on them as well I guess they didn’t kill bdup because he didn’t necessarily betray them he was like this before it was even exposed smoke was a sellout

A prequel San Andreas would be dope af set in 89

Yeah. With Big Bear as the main character. You'd get to play as him and see what he was like before the drugs ruined him. It'd be kind of like a time-reversed version of what happened to Johnny K Between GTA TLAD and GTA V.

Doubtful.
Rockstar has moved on from the era of GTA games that San Andreas belongs to. And we've already spent ENTIRELY too much of the current era in Los Santos with GTA V and GTA Online for yet another game to be set there again so soon.
Including the upcoming GTA VI, Whatever else they end up doing next is going to be set away from that location and only be canonical to the interconnected world and characters that have now been long established through the current era of GTA games like IV, V, Online and, to a much lesser extent, Chinatown Wars.
With Brian as the protagonist… would’ve been 🔥 but let’s not come back to Los Santos again
@@velenciagabro he was 10 yrs old when he got killed

makes perfect sense for the game to voice him given how the game is
Why is Mike on the list? I mean, sure he did exploit CJ but he did keep his end of the deal, and left CJ alone despite the chaos he caused.
Plus, Mike is a very powerful person, CJ can easily put him down, but I'm pretty sure there'd be a lot of consequences if he kills a guy who manages to free a gang leader immediately on a whim.
ew
Ill make a video on my take
Mike is teddy mcdonald in snowfall
2:24 okay i gotta admit, thats a good joke.
I find it symbolic a drug dealer was wearing rockstar branded clothing
This is great people making videos like this. This is awesome.
B dup has to be related to emmet look at him
We need a SA stories giving us insight on sweets come up in the grove and how he eventually became the leader of the grove, smoke and ryders beginning motives to betray sweet and cj, more insight on the ogs that are mentioned in the story line(Big bear, big devil, little devil) and they can even end the storyline on Brian’s death and cj leaving the grove, perfection 💯💪🏾

Big Boi from the Radio show in LA voiced Big Bear
I’m 31 years old. I’ve been playing this game since it came out and I’m only now realizing his name sounds like “beat up”
Massive fan of The Game I recognised his voice straight away first time playing this and it was a nice surprise as I had no idea he was in the game.
6:18 Biggie and Eazy E 😂
Editing going crazy fr fr 🔥🔥
I hate this dude, good on CJ for telling him off and Big Bear for decking the piss out of him.
@4:30, yo pairing unused audio for this is a really nice touch
I was loyal to the wrong people, cause I heard loyalty was everything
Till I was the only one actually trying to make it
And take my niggas with too
At one point, shit was so bad, and everyone around me was doing coke, I genuinely started to consider what I knew about coke (Honestly, people made it seem great)
Then I started to think “I mean if yall doin coke, it can’t be that bad”
It’s not how loyal you are but who are you loyal to. I’m glad I got rid of those people before I went down a bad path. My life is much better, I just wish I didn’t feel like it was still on-sight with them
I’m trying to let it go, but disrespect is hard to forget
I appreciate this video for trying to speak to that and humanize these characters, especially Big Bear.
It’s so easy to hear he’s on crack and write him off
But how did he get there you know?
“Ganster morals” phrase id never thought i would hear.

B Dup had such little "screen time" or mission time in the game, I never even thought about him during my first playthrough
Ngl toreno redeemed himself when he freed sweet
I get the feeling B Dup fearing Smoke was a smart call on his part because he probably got eliminated either by corrupt cops or a paranoid Smoke who might have panicked that B Dup turned him out to Carl.
Big Smoke said he knew CJ was coming in the final mission
Evil? Yes most evil? Nah i think there are a few characters that outshine him
Bro i swear your storytelling skills are on point and you obviously have a passion for the game. I love love love it bro. Keep it going. Hopefully i get my ps2 out of storage to play this masterpiece.
Big boy from boy boys neighborhood played Big Bear
what's up, your lordship?
2:49 hearing a high tone shook The Game is hilarious
Big Bear's role really saddened me in the story. Glad he got released from B-Dup's hold near the end.
i didn’t even know Big Bear was actually “big boned” and became emaciated due to drug addiction. that’s so sad
I appreciate you making videos like this. San Andreas has always been beat up on by people calling the story "simple". Yet no one talks about the literal god-tier characterization that the game has. Not only the best characterization in the franchise, literally some of the best in gaming. Arguably comparable to games like FF7 when it comes to lasting impactful characters.
Ryder acted like he was scared of B Dup, when he was talking crazy to CJ Ryder should’ve crashed out
B Dup was working with Smoke and the Ballas. It would’ve blown his cover.
“Hell yeah sir!”

To the best of my knowledge, B Dup and OG Loc are the only 2 big villains you DON'T kill
Wassup your Lordship?
Big bear reminds me of Loco from South Central
thats where the idea came from and the name was from Bear (from south central)
Good vid pretty detailed
Would’ve loved for them to release a San Andres story GTA game and go more into the depth of all of these characters, would’ve loved to see Bear’s character development and how the grove really got to that point
The correct answer is Claude from gta 3 that guy will kill and betray anyone for money
Why do you think that CJ should’ve killed Mike Toreno?
I will make a video this week on it.
@1:02
Cleaning toilets might be the least degrading thing you can do for drugs lmao when you really think about it
I like how you showed that toilet, sparkling.
The truth is.. he made me clean it.
To this day I'm still surprised that CJ never killed B Dup
Good video man 👍
Imagine a game or small series where it showed the decline of groove street like what all happened to them after cj left
B dup probably was making him do more than that
I love when big bear stands up for himself and tells b dup he's tired of being his slave and then punches him and he just says "why the F you do that for man?" Like dude are you stupid?
He's still nowhere near as bad/evil as Donald Love.
I plan on covering him this was focused on GTA SA but if we’re talking all of GTA I might have to give the vile award to Eddie Low
I bet that the GSF Homies that spawn in Glen Park probably killed B-Dup after CJ, Sweet and Bear left or he got killed Off-Screen.
It took me some years to know that was game that played as "Beat Up" go make dat mfering toilet sparkle 😂😂😂😂😂😂
justice for Big Bear
And he's voiced by Game
Fun fact, B Dub was voiced by rapper The Game.
So it was sweets fault everything went to shit and he has the nerve to blame Carl . Especially when he cleaned up his mess
okay this video goes hard af
We need a prequel for GTA San Andreas like RDR2 is to RDR1.
Would love to see CJ, Sweet, Big Smoke, Ryder, B-Dup, Big Bear, Big Devil, Little Devil, Tony and OJ Loc's backstory, showing GSF at its prime, and even see Brian's death and how it affected everyone.

I disagree on killing Mike Toreno. Sure Mike gave CJ a hard time with his missions, but he kept his word in the end and CJ even willing to work for him after he knew Mike freed Sweet with enthusiasm. Mike plays an important role to keep foreign relations at bay, by killing him, we'll see much worse tragedies and terrorism throughout the GTA franchise. That's the truth. Besides that, he acted as CJ's mentor as well, telling him to learn how to fly and if CJ didn't, he'll keep pestering CJ like a fatherly figure.
Mike understand how things are. It's not rainbows and unicorns. You can't play ball and not get dirty.
i love that ballsack is basically canonically a set in the gta universe. 😂 technically ballsack ogs end up in gta v😂😂 i’m crying
Damn, this is how youvtell a good story. Rockstar sold out, much like their own character, Big Smoke. I hope we get to see CJ and Grove street make a comeback. My inner child would be so happy
B-dup is my favorite character
It’s crazy that’s the game character and he really is shady
Moral of the story, Sweet was a horrible leader, he just wanted people around him, no direction, no real boundaries, no goals
you could say the same about any of them if im being real with you even down to CJ
