      Yup...absolutely it is. Arguably, one of the best "initial," first LP releases in music history. It helped GnR blow the walls down at a particular time when music was a bit bland, and needed a good kick in the ass to get things going again. Not particularly complicated music, but some good ol Rock n Roll, and just what the doctor ordered at the time. One of those bands that let "ego" (and of course, a bit of substance abuse), tear em down, and left us music fans to wonder "what if?" Even if there'd not been another song done after AFD, I believe it would have been more than enough to vault these dudes to legendary status.

    • @drew65sep
      @drew65sep 3 года назад

      @Zayden Jose none of my business, but it sounds like it's time for a trade-in and get a newer model. And now that the "how" of it is on a public forum linked to you, she's gonna change things with the quickest. Either way, covert operations have now started, and the death knell on the relationship has already sounded. Ex-fil ahead of a "scorched earth" policy. Burn everything down so she can't use it. Better luck with the next one....

Join the club, Rock was, is, and will always be the place to visit when I’m .......feeling a bit down!! But don’t forget the New Wave era of the 80’s, Duran Duran, The B52’s, Roxette, Depeche Mode, The Police, The Cars, Squeeze, The Clash, Depeche Mode, etc., etc., and even mainstream artists, MICHAEL JACKSON, to many thousands to name, but you get the point. I'm smiling and I just subscribed. Your reaction is the same as mine was when I first saw it in 1987. Dangerous and explosive is exactly how I described it. You guys enthusiasm is amazing. You are awesome...and Mel is adorable. SO GLAD I watched this video!

    Singer Axl Rose has a 5 octave range but often surpasses that to a C6 - this band fell apart over addictions and some have beat that now- I think they could have made more amazing music if they had worked through their issues. Amazing musicians!

    Mr Brownstone is a definite. This is from back in my day. I think I was 18 or 19 when I first heard this song. I HAD to have the album. Then Sweet Child O Mine came out and EVERYBODY was onto them then. LOL Good times... Great memories. BTW... This entire album is worth buying. Not a bad song on it.

    Ah, the first Guns `n Roses song I ever heard. I was 12-13, I wanted the album so bad, but didn't have any money. But my younger sisters birthday was coming up so I persuaded her that she had to buy it (and of course let me listen to it as much as I wanted) for the money she got for her birthday. This was before the cover was banned so a 9 year old girl bought a Appetite for destruction LP with a rape-killing machine on the cover (yes this was when the album first came out, and yes our mother was present and had no objections, she was always pretty cool about things like that...). 😂

    First of all, I had no idea that Slash was biracial (his mom was Kenya and his father was from California and a studio guitar player)
    2nd, Axl Rose has the voice of...good grief!
    3rd, I remember this song being in the movie "Lean on Me" with Morgan Freeman when they were showing how bad the high school was (pregnancy, gangs, drugs, skipping school, pimps, all kinds of craziness). But when Mr Clark became principal, everything changed. Expeditiously 😂
