Axel Rose and Slash are legendary!!!! 80's Rock at it's best!!!
Axl
Axl Rose has been named as one of the greatest singers by various media outlets and Rolling Stone magazine. The lead singer Axl Rose has one of the greatest vocal ‘range’ in male singers 😃
Male and female. His range was wider than Mariah Careys
@@VVinsanitYY dang Mariah Carey almost got up to him
Brad delp, Freddie mercury, David Coverdale, Axl, list goes on
Uh uh! Ian Gillan has phenomenal range!
You might want to hear John Farnhams version of Black dog . But yes Axle had a 5 octave range but he cant sing the variety that John could sing.
Whole album is sick but axls swag and tone of aggression in his voice is just the best iv heard on any rock track
Yup...absolutely it is. Arguably, one of the best "initial," first LP releases in music history. It helped GnR blow the walls down at a particular time when music was a bit bland, and needed a good kick in the ass to get things going again. Not particularly complicated music, but some good ol Rock n Roll, and just what the doctor ordered at the time. One of those bands that let "ego" (and of course, a bit of substance abuse), tear em down, and left us music fans to wonder "what if?" Even if there'd not been another song done after AFD, I believe it would have been more than enough to vault these dudes to legendary status.
@Zayden Jose none of my business, but it sounds like it's time for a trade-in and get a newer model. And now that the "how" of it is on a public forum linked to you, she's gonna change things with the quickest. Either way, covert operations have now started, and the death knell on the relationship has already sounded. Ex-fil ahead of a "scorched earth" policy. Burn everything down so she can't use it. Better luck with the next one....
By far the best front man of a rock group at the point he was unreal
@@drew65sep agreed. I remember rock at the time was getting stagnant and then this album hits and this song drops on the radio and MTv (back when MTv was about music). It had the snarl and and in your face that rock had seemed to be losing at the time.
@@SgtSplatter782 absolutely bro...I graduated high-school in '83, and on to some college that I never finished before getting lucky and landing the good job that I eventually would retire from. Lol, most of the 80's are still a blur...but, I can get my time frame halfway correct by the music that came out, and what vehicle I had. Pretty bad, but it's called the "80's of excess" for a reason. There was some really kick-ass music that came to be back then...
This was inspired by Axel Rose, who got off the bus in LA, to hear a homeless man say, "welcome to the jungle, now you're gonna die!"
Actually it was inspired when Axl hit NYC ... Before going to L.A and forming GnR.. Duff was talking about it on 3 Chords & The Truth his XM Radio show.. He landed somewhere in the Bronx where did not need to be and it made even him shiver...lol
I heard something similar about Slipknot’s song Eyeless. Where (I believe) Cory Taylor heard a homeless man repeating the phrase “you can’t see California without Marlin Brando’s eyes.” And it ended up in the song; though I don’t know how true that is.
@@Lee4364 yea, supposedly Axle said some little old black man looked at him and said, "you know where you are? You in the Jungle baby". "You're gonna die"
@@rediron44 Yes Sir.. scared him enough to go to LA...lol
Actually a friend in Seattle told him the line
True story, talent scouts went to see G&R when they were just started out, they said in the office that G&R was the most volatile, raw energy they had seen and kids are going to love them; they're dangerous! There was some who were trying to prevent them from getting a record deal even.
Half the band was deep into black tar heroin at the time which made them a risky investment to say the least.
This band, and this song, helped shape the sound of metal in the late 80's and 90's! They have so many great tunes...
I can't wait to watch you guys reacting to more of their stuff... Enjoy!
This is not a metal band
It's a rock band
@@MJ-ul9ge he said this song "shaped" and didnt say it is "metal"
@@jimlimbuOkay but it still didnt influence metal, a lot of metal was already around by the time appetite for destruction was out
All these years later I cannot hear this riff without a smile and rush of energy. It just get you in the mood for life.
Singer is Axel Rose
Lead guitar is Slash
Bass is Duff
Rhythm guitar is Gilby
Drummer is Steven Adler
Izzy?
@@balucious you are correct! I was thinking Izzy. Gilby Clark replaced Izzy and Matt Sorrum replaced Steven Adler right?
@@seanwolf8056 You sir, are also correct!
I think Steven Adler died. 🤔
@@Mostopinionatedmanofalltime hashanah no Steven is alive ofc! In fact Steven played some songs with GnR back on 2016
Now that is rock and roll. I think this might be the most rocked out song ever. The pure energy.
Watching people discovery these great bands is so much fun.
Slash, the guitarist played guitar on several Michael Jackson tracks.
He's still awesome anyway, though!
Yes! One of my favorite collaborations MJ does with another artist!
Give In To Me❣️
Great stuff! Lenny Kravitz too, also one of my favorites in the whole wide world since his debut in 1991... Peace Y'all
And Slash is one of the few guitarists Prince allowed to join him.
Quit talking about Michael Jackson
They were so good...the whole song is crafted perfectly start to finish...so much energy man damn!

bad G n R songs.
Thanks & good luck with your
channel!
yes that's true all gnr songs are epic!!
Yes please do Sweet Child of Mine!!!🔥
Guns n Roses came straight from the Sunset Strip. They were the real thing.
Axl Rose's voice was untouchable in the Eighties.
One of the best Rock bands ever. Such a great song and they definitely have many more where this came from. Fun Fact: The sound at the beginning when he's getting off the Bus is actually Axl singing. His voice is amazing. 🤘
Their first song released, instant classic. They announced themselves and put everyone on point. 1987
Welcome to Greatness!!! No other band like these guys period
He had an octave range of 5 or 6. Pretty amazing
Oh the screaming- the guitar- the energy......buckle up folks.....🤘😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎼🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥nice headbanging.....girllllll....you look like you been doing that since the 80’s.....go ahead......get it !!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Guns and roses great in concert! Seen this song live when the first came out in 87. They open for motley crew
I absolutely love the look of joy on their faces while listening to this! It’s the joy that’s been on my face since the 80’s!!!!!
That note at the start summed up guns n roses and what they were all about, pure attitude and raw aggression
One of all time greats! Guns N Roses one of the best all times hair bands! ❤️ the reaction as always!
1987. Popped the appetite cassette into my stereo. Opening strains of welcome to the jungle started. 2 minutes later my rock loving dad walked in and said "who the f is that??" . Crank it and open your door
The lead singer is Axel Rose. GNR has so many good songs its crazy!
That's exactly how AXL steals your girl.
Steven Adler has left the chat
I grew up on GNR 🤘🏻 have you guys listened to it's so easy, mr brownstone, november rain, sweet child o mine?
You may also like the band whitesnake! Slow and easy, still of the night, slide it in and is this love are my favorite songs by them.
Anyone else immediately await the bass line from It's So Easy to kick in at the end of the song lol
Yeppers! Lol!🤘
Dun dun dunun dun dun dunna
That's probably incomprehensible to the spotify generation 😂
That came out in 87. I was a freshman in high school then. Started the end of the so-called hair metal.Alot ofgood music from that time and era. Bands like dokken, ratt, Cinderella, motley crue, def lepard and mant others were very popular back in the day.guns n roses had way better songs than that on that album which was their first.
That song is a roller coaster ride. Thrilled and exhausted at the end.
You guys always so happy.!! Love you guys#HOG
And #S&M
You are making me smile! GNR is one of the GOAT! I saw them live in concert in late 80’s at the height of Appetite For Destruction album. They even better live!
I have seen these guys twice in concert they put on a great show.
It's so awesome seeing how much fun yall are having listening to these great hard rock bands great reaction
A lot has been described below. Haven't seen it mentioned yet, that when Axl was tied in that chair with the straitjacket, it was like a cover from the movie "A Clockwork Orange" when part of it had Malcolm McDowell in a mental mansion... 1971 I think... Stanley Kubrick
This song was used great in the beginning of the movie " lean on me"
My mom introduced me to them, grateful she did
The lineup of Gun'N'Roses at the time of this song's original release:
Axel Rose - lead vocals
Slash - lead guitar (he's the one wearing the top hat)
Izzy Spradlin - rhythm guitar
Duff Mackagin - bass
Steven Adler - drums
He’s so young in this video! ☮️💜
Just started watching you guys definitely loving the reactions! Keep em coming 🖒
I can’t remember if you’ve done November Rain yet it is there best. Also Mr Brownstone, Live and let Die or Sweet child o mine.
my childhood friend played November Rain as their wedding march song
I just love you guys! Awesome reaction GNR has a special place in my heart.
One of my favorite bands of all time! MJ will always be my #1 but GNR is in the top 10!
React to MJ and Slash together in “Give In To Me!” It’s amazing!! ❤️
I'm smiling and I just subscribed. Your reaction is the same as mine was when I first saw it in 1987. Dangerous and explosive is exactly how I described it. You guys enthusiasm is amazing. You are awesome...and Mel is adorable. SO GLAD I watched this video!
these two are funny reacting to really good music ;-;
The song was about Axle Rose stepping off the Greyhound bus in LA coming from Indiana, he was a bit shocked by his surroundings, and in the words of Axl Rose “a little old black man came up to me and said “welcome to the jungle” (from GnR Live at the Ritz)
The raw live performance of the filming of this video may still be floating around youtube. Sounded great.
I love seeing yall rock out! They're a blast live!
Watching you guys react to this made me reminisce on my first time finding this song as a kid. Truly legendary song. Always will be.
Guuuuuys this is sooooo ooooold. Lmao. U guys r 1 foot into the rabbit hole. I absolutely LOVE watching u 2. Its refreshing for sure. Peace 😊
Axl Rose had some amazing vocals and Slash is a guitar legend…this song is about the LA streets in the 80’s
It was awesome watching you two enjoy the song so much!
Mr Brownstone is a definite. This is from back in my day. I think I was 18 or 19 when I first heard this song. I HAD to have the album. Then Sweet Child O Mine came out and EVERYBODY was onto them then. LOL Good times... Great memories. BTW... This entire album is worth buying. Not a bad song on it.
I love watching yall discover this stuff...such an amazing genuine reaction! 🔥❤️
This album (Appetite for Destruction) is definitely one of the best hard rock albums of all time start to finish it’s a masterpiece!
I am so old now LOL I bought this on cassette. One of the best record roll releases ever
Looks like lm getting nothing done today now that I've found your channel 😂🤣 I'm rocking out with you guys
There’s a documentary on dish about them. Watched it a couple of weeks ago.
hey just wanted too say love your reactions you guys like rock im a 80s baby grew up on guns n roses and metallica
Axel, has one of the highest vocal ranges in rock music!
This is the one. The best reaction to this song.
That song gets me pumped every time I hear it LOL!
Ah, the first Guns `n Roses song I ever heard. I was 12-13, I wanted the album so bad, but didn't have any money. But my younger sisters birthday was coming up so I persuaded her that she had to buy it (and of course let me listen to it as much as I wanted) for the money she got for her birthday. This was before the cover was banned so a 9 year old girl bought a Appetite for destruction LP with a rape-killing machine on the cover (yes this was when the album first came out, and yes our mother was present and had no objections, she was always pretty cool about things like that...). 😂
Nice strong song writing based in classic 70s, Aerosmith, Rose Tattoo, Deadboys, AC DC , UK Subs tradition.
Oh, and one of the greatest intros ever!
Guns'n'Roses...what else? I'm a great fan of Guns since 1988... I ♥️ Guns.
Please Rocket Queen...
One man, with so many different sounds! omg!
Always love your guys’ matching fits!
BRO YOU ARE A LUCKY MAN TO HAVE HER SHE ROCKSSSSS!
My favorite. I could pop this song word for word at 5 years old.
Slash tearing up that gituar !!!!!!!!! 💕 Love it
Great reaction to one of the top rock classics which actually sounds just as great now as it did back then...Crazy!!! I would also like to request: Monster Magnet - Negasonic Teenage Warhead
🤘🤨🤘
First song that got me into guns n roses
great to see you again dears.. OK, you picked some old shcool this time.. are you sure your are ready? Love you both ♥ Let's rock this joint! (Mel becomes instand fangirl) LOL.. I love you dears.. funny that was 87, now is 21.. same crap >.> wonder if that is on accident
I loved your reaction the best!
Man...ha...that was my graduation year...1988 ..we partied to that song lol....great reaction.
Lmao. This is the song that sometimes played in the back of my mind. When all 5 of my kids lived at home. I’m sure you can guess the reasoning 😂😂😟🙄🤦🏼♀️😳
Love y'alls reaction videos. Please react to guns N roses song "Paradise City". I think you will enjoy it even more. Guns N Roses knows how to treat their audience. I look forward to seeing what y'all think about it. I'm a 60 year old white boy and you two are my favorite reaction stars. (Yeah, I'm an old fogey, But I still love to rock out.
Slash is the only guitarist who was never a technical guitar player but he always let the guitar sing for him thts why his the most richest n the most popular guitarist on the world
Mel when you wanna scream...
SCREAM!!! If that's what the music makes you feel - let it OUT!!! What do you think I did as a teenager at the GNR concert? Girl, I screamed! 🔥
I was at the riot at the riverport in St. LOUIS. When Axel jumped off the stage on top of the guy with the camera, I was behind the guy. We all went tumbling down!! People tore up everything they could. There cops, po po dogs, helicopters , news ppl , Luckily I made it out.
I love your reaction to this!
Thanks guy's, had to turn that one up!
One of the greatest bands ever.
Welcome to the BEST GLAM METAL EVER. Do you ever wonder why people still talk about 80’s music? Wonder no more 😁! It was the decade of everything EXCESS, sex, drugs, and Rock n Roll! Oh man!!!!! To go back for a day........need I say more? I’d be there in a minute. From the people of my age, the 80’s were filled with some of the greatest music EVER!!! Glad to see even the younger generations can see the absolute excellence of the 80’s. It was a decade, and I’ve been through a few, of some of the best music that ever was, is, or ever will be. That’s why we are still here listening to it. You guys are cute! Glad you can enjoy some of the most fun music in history. You also might want to back even a little further, to when Rock truly started, 60’s and 70’s. It truly was GREAT!! Zeppelin, The Stones, The Who, etc., etc., to the 70’s, Pink Floyd (really started in the extreme late 60’s), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, and a million more!!! Join the club, Rock was, is, and will always be the place to visit when I’m .......feeling a bit down!! But don’t forget the New Wave era of the 80’s, Duran Duran, The B52’s, Roxette, Depeche Mode, The Police, The Cars, Squeeze, The Clash, Depeche Mode, etc., etc., and even mainstream artists, MICHAEL JACKSON, to many thousands to name, but you get the point. All around, such great music from such a pivotal time in music history Enjoy the ride 🤘🤘🤘
Great reactions folks! Ive the same hair as Slash only its red lol
Let’s Go! Great Song
‘It’s gonna bring u down!’
Those lyrics are raw
This is the Unofficial Song of Paterson N.J. (My Home Town and Still Living There), It was Played in The Movie 'Lean on Me" it was a True Story That's Still Going on, Stars Morgan Freeman as Principal Joe Clark, Filmed in Paterson.

Love your reactions!
I remember when that first came out....yes FIRE 🚒
YOU TWO ARE SIMPLY THE BESTTTTTT!
LOVE this song!!!
I don't subscribe often, but yea, you guys are great.
The guitarist in the top hat and fro is half black and half Jewish (Slash) and is pretty legendary, so is Axle for his voice.
Love you two !!
He has the highest voice in rock!!
