      It's not just when they're sick or feel like shit. Touring can be very tiring and generally draining work especially for these massive bands who go on these long World tours, the amount of moving they have to do from place to place, not seeing their family or friends for weeks or months. Or some of these musicians could be complete introverts for whom going out there and dealing with people all day is just exhausting, but they have to constantly go out there, and move with all their gear, whether its tour busses, or plane flights, or just simple stuff like checking in and out of hotels every other day, meeting fans or doing interviews and promotion and taking that 350th selfie that day. Then setting up and tearing down your gear, doing sound checks, even if you have roadies and a whole crew to help you, the equipment and the set and everything else still all revolves around you and you're constantly making decisions or last minute changes or whatever. And having to repeat this countless times, in every city, or places you sometimes don't even remember the name of, because you're so jet lagged and sleep deprived. Then at the end of the night you come out in front of thousands of people who scream your name and expect you to be at your absolute PEAK even after you've done this at 20 other venues in the last 5-6 weeks. We never see any of this, we just see them come out on stage for an hour and put on a show for us. No wonder so many of them turn to alcohol, or drugs, when they're back at their hotel rooms - it's that one peaceful moment at the end of the day when you can finally sit down and chill before it all begins again in the morning.

    Peter Criss messing up on "Beth" may or may not have been intentional...those were some of his final days in the band before Eric Carr came in.

    • @Raipela
      @Raipela 2 года назад +2

      This, plus according to... well at least to Paul, Peter did intentionally sabotage the shows on Dynasty tour, but by switching the tempo on his drums. Don't think he would've intentionally wanted to ruin his own big showcase (Beth). At this point he did not know the others wanted him out of the band, he actually tried to get his shit together around Unmasked after the idea was introduced to him, but his playing didn't make the cut anymore.

    They could do an entire compilation of Maynard trying to wrestle with Third Eye live lol. I don't know what it is about that song but it's usually right around the first verse, right where the lyrics begin, he just gets completely lost. He eventually finds himself though. I'm actually surprised that it didn't make this list considering how many heavier bands Loudwire covers.

    • @increasement
      @increasement 2 года назад +1

      yeah lol he comes in early or late on Third Eye "dreaming of that face again" a lot on their later tours. I think some of them were intentional to fuck with Adam, but who knows with Maynard.

    As a musician myself it is embarrassing as heck to screw up especially Live. But if we let it get us down we can’t continue we must press on and hope that we don’t mess up again. One of my favorite occurrences was I was watching dream theater play live and they were doing some Liquid Tension Experiment and Mike Portnoy lost control of the stick during the midpoint of paradigm shift end bounced off of like 4 rows of seats and landed almost right in front of me.

Fue muy gracioso todo. La canción era "Right Back At It Again"
