Thank you for your videos including this one. I’m planting orange and white colored rose bushes in honor of my precious Shiba Inu that we said goodbye to after 15+ years, along with a St. Francis garden statue on my patio. 🦊 I hope the flowers will thrive.

I think it really does help to plant something.
      Has it grown?
Does watching it grow feel cathartic?
      I think it helps.
Why don't "they" give kids in Foster care any help with that bereavement ? 'at the time'
      What a life man?

I did bereavement Councilling a couple of months ago.
    people I cared about died.
I think it really did help but as I'm being stressed I keep thinking about it.
They really were upset, kids at time and nobody cared.
I couldn't get help for them
3 years wait and sent away at the Dr.
    Times passed
And Im grieving the bad decisions that ricocheted off not helping them.
3 psychologists in a year. In end. Helped. I did the work
Still feeling sad doc. But maybe it's natural to feel sad in my situation. Its not more than that but my joys less
Yeah, losses that society says 'I don't care'

Sorry for your loss. My wife passed from cancer 15 years ago. Most difficult life challenge I have experienced. Took me years (plus counseling the first year) to work through it.

Thank you for this informative education on grief. I see it was done in 2018. I am interested in knowing if there are any more (newer, different) activities that I could add to my "toolbox"?

Anything about assertiveness as a tool for people who are going through distress of grief and loss?

    • @Dman9fp
      @Dman9fp 3 года назад +2

In my personal experience of grieving, if there's going to be assertiveness/ learning something major they must do it themselves. Downplaying emotional torment in others just makes it worse, or even maybe acknowledging it but saying they must pick themselves up more fully can seem to be belittling their feelings. I mean, Living For whatever/ whoever we are grieving's honor seems the best route, and continuing in the relatively same path career/ interest wise as before loss seems to help, even if small things change. About emphasizing strengths more than fixing weaknesses, how you build confidence and momentum
